Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 284: Chapter 284: First Class at Jing University, Empress vs. Empress?

Inside S-Class.

Everyone froze, their gazes gathering on the tips of Gu Yuexi’s hair.

What was that?

It looked like a mosquito?

The most ordinary kind, the kind you could kill with a single swat?

That thing could be a Contracted Beast?

Forget its strength for a moment. How long is a mosquito’s Lifespan? If you formed a contract with that thing, wouldn’t it just drop dead in a couple of days?

Impossible!

Absolutely impossible!

Everyone looked at each other, their faces filled with shock and disbelief.

What kind of joke was this?

However, no one who got into Jing University’s S-Class was an idiot.

After their brief shock, they immediately began to come up with all sorts of “reasonable” explanations.

Either this person was deliberately joking, trying to grab attention this way.

Or, she was intentionally hiding her true strength, not wanting to reveal it too early. After all, the old act of a wolf in sheep’s clothing was a common sight among geniuses like them.

A calmer group of students believed the mosquito was probably just her secondary Contracted Beast, possessing some special ability, while her main Contracted Beast was surely an extremely powerful creature that she was deliberately keeping hidden.

In any case, there were no sounds of mockery. Instead, these prodigies of S-Class grew suspicious of Gu Yuexi’s true strength.

On the platform, Gu Yuexi had no interest in the others’ reactions.

After her brief introduction, she walked straight to an empty seat in the back of the classroom, sat down, and closed her eyes to rest.

…

The first class after Gu Yuexi joined was a practical combat drill.

“Alright, students. Today’s lesson will be a joint combat exercise against the S-Class from the Spiritual Mind Master Academy next door.”

“The top performers will receive the most Points. Of course, only the winning side is eligible. If you lose, no matter how well you do, you won’t get any Points.”

“So, please be sure to give it your all.”

Hearing that they would be fighting the S-Class from the Spiritual Mind Master Academy, the students of the Beast Taming Academy’s S-Class were instantly energized. They eagerly rubbed their hands together, their fighting spirit soaring.

Gu Yuexi also opened her eyes slightly.

At Jing University, Points were extremely important.

First, you had to earn a certain number of basic Points each semester to pass. Otherwise, you could be expelled from Jing University!

Second, Points could also be exchanged for items, Cultivation Techniques, and so on at Jing University.

This included entering some of the university’s special Secret Realms, Cultivation Holy Lands, and other such places, all of which required spending Points.

In this era of high martial arts, Jing University already resembled the Sect system of ancient times!

On the platform, after everyone had quieted down, the middle-aged instructor clapped his hands and continued to announce the details of the drill.

“The location for this exercise is the university’s Secret Realm No. 10—the ’Dark Forest.’ Your objective is to venture deep into the forest and retrieve a ’Moonlight Crystal Stone’ from a Sixth-Grade Demon Beast.”

“The first team to get it wins.”

That was right.

“Next, I will announce the team captain for this exercise.”

The instructor’s gaze swept over the students, hesitating for a moment on Gu Yuexi before moving past her.

It finally landed on a tall male student with a calm and steady aura.

“The captain this time will be student Zhao Haotian. Everyone must follow his commands and cooperate.”

Zhao Haotian stood up, smiled confidently, and nodded at the crowd.

No one else had any objections to this appointment. It seemed this Zhao Haotian did command some respect. As for Gu Yuexi, she naturally had no opinion either; she couldn’t care less who the captain was.

…

Just like Hong Kong University, Jing University also had its own exclusive internal Secret Realms—more than a dozen of them, large and small!

This alone was a testament to Jing University’s profound heritage and resources!

Secret Realm No. 10, the Dark Forest, was an Intermediate Secret Realm that had long since been fully explored. It was normally used for student combat drills and the like.

Before the entrance to the Secret Realm.

The students from the Beast Taming Academy’s S-Class and the Spiritual Mind Master Academy’s S-Class arrived, led by their respective instructors.

Chu Sheng soon noticed a familiar face among the students on the opposing team!

Who was it?

It was Su Yingxue, the girl he had drained to the point of fainting yesterday.

Su Yingxue was the captain of the opposing team and stood at the very front, but… her complexion was clearly off.

She stood in line with her team, her face unusually pale, with faint dark circles under her eyes. She looked spiritually drained and utterly exhausted.

It was as if… she had been completely wrung dry by something.

Chu Sheng clicked his tongue with a smirk.

’She managed to get up and even come to class.’

’Looks like this Su Yingxue’s recovery ability is pretty good!’

Soon, after the instructors from both sides briefly announced the rules, the exercise officially began.

Upon entering the Secret Realm, the dense scent of the forest rushed to greet them.

As captain, Zhao Haotian immediately began to show off his leadership skills. He unfurled a map of the Secret Realm and methodically started assigning tactics.

“Li Na, your Contracted Beast is a reconnaissance type. You’re on scouting duty.”

“Wang Lei, your Contracted Beast is a defense type. Take the lead and stay on high alert.”

“Everyone else, form an attack formation and be ready for battle at any moment…”

He assigned each student a clear task, and everything seemed to be in perfect order.

“As for you… Gu Yuexi, right? I’m not yet familiar with your abilities, so you can just stick by my side for now.”

“Did you hear me?”

Zhao Haotian spoke as he looked up.

However, he found that Gu Yuexi wasn’t listening to him at all. In fact, she had already left the group!

Instantly, he grew displeased, his tone hardening.

“Hey! New girl, where do you think you’re going?!”

Gu Yuexi didn’t stop walking, merely glancing back at him coolly.

“Too troublesome.”

With that, she glanced at Chu Sheng on her shoulder.

“Mosquito, shall we just go directly?”

The moment she spoke, the figures of the girl and the mosquito instantly blurred, rippling like water before vanishing into thin air.

Huh???

Zhao Haotian’s words caught in his throat.

Everyone else was stunned as well.

“Holy crap, this… is this…?!”

“Spatial Movement?!”

“It seems to be that Contracted Beast’s ability? You mean the mosquito’s?”

“That mosquito… has comprehended the Spatial Realm?”

Everyone was dumbfounded by this sudden turn of events.

The Spatial Realm, one of the Ten Great Realms, was a shocking enough power to find anywhere, and Jing University was no exception!

Only then did they realize that the seemingly ordinary mosquito possessed such a rare and powerful Spatial Ability!

But after the shock wore off, a trace of anger appeared on Captain Zhao Haotian’s face.

He felt that his authority had been challenged!

He snorted coldly and spoke with disdain,

“Hmph, so what if it has a Spatial Ability? She’s completely undisciplined, with no sense of organization!”

“Do you have any idea what’s guarding the Moonlight Crystal Stone this time? It’s a genuine Sixth-Grade Demon Beast, a Furious Python!”

“Without teamwork, what can she possibly do by herself? Go get herself killed?!”

The more he spoke, the angrier he became, as if he could already envision Gu Yuexi’s tragic end—smashed into a pulp by a single swat from the Sixth-Grade Demon Beast.

However, his words had barely faded.

BZZ—

A slight spatial fluctuation appeared again, and the figures of Gu Yuexi and Chu Sheng once more materialized out of thin air before everyone.

“Let’s go.”

Gu Yuexi looked at the stunned crowd and uttered two words.

’Go? Go where?’

Zhao Haotian was taken aback for a moment, then a scornful smile spread across his face as if he’d figured something out.

“What? Were you scared off by the Sixth-Grade Demon Beast? Giving up so soon?”

“Heh, what did I tell you? There’s no point trying to be a hero all by yourself. If you want to leave, leave on your own. We in S-Class don’t have a habit of giving up!”

A few team members who were on good terms with Zhao Haotian chimed in, their gazes toward Gu Yuexi filled with ridicule.

In their eyes, Gu Yuexi must have teleported over, seen that her opponent was a Sixth-Grade Demon Beast, realized she was no match for it, and then dejectedly teleported back.

However, in the face of their taunts, Gu Yuexi’s expression didn’t change in the slightest.

Looking somewhat impatient, she took out a crystal stone that emitted a soft, moon-white halo from her Storage Ring.

“This is it, right?”

“I already got the item. If we’re not leaving, what are we still doing here?”

…
