Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 145: 145 Director Jiang is the trend

”Give me one.”

”No problem, I already gave one to Mr. Qian.”

”Haha, so generous? Then I won’t stand on ceremony.”

”No need to be polite, Mr. Qian. What color do you want? Khaki? Black?”

”Black.”

”Got it, I’ll bring it to you tomorrow.”

”Let’s go, let’s head over together.”

Qian Jun walked in front, followed by two fashionable girls, drawing everyone’s attention in the meeting room.

Qian Jun coughed, and everyone immediately pretended to mind their own business, but it was even better to ignore those occasional glances.

After the meeting ended, Qian Jun, being very perceptive, left first. The male colleagues shook their heads, following the director, as appreciating beauty was the female colleagues’ trait; they absolutely would not be tainted by decadent thoughts.

”Director Jiang, where’s my trench coat?” Pan Xiulan said with a bit of resentment, inadvertently seeing the boots on Song Qingqing’s feet, adding to her grievance.

”In my office.”

”You two should have called me along.”

”At noon, at noon, let you make a debut.”

Aunties, big sisters, and young ladies all gathered around, chatting animatedly with questions.

”I didn’t bring many trench coats, just over thirty pieces. They’re a hundred each, register if you want one.”

This price made many step back, mainly the aunties. Within ten minutes, Jiang Xinyu had orders for twenty pieces.

Pan Xiulan followed Jiang Xinyu to the office, undoubtedly choosing a khaki one and a pair of shoes. She happily pulled out a hundred and thirty, and left cheerfully.

At noon, it got even more exaggerated, Jiang Xinyu couldn’t even manage to have her meal.

”Sis, I brought you one, try it on later.”

”Xinyu, I love it! Can I pay you later, like fifteen bucks a month?”

”Sure, others can’t, but you definitely can.”

Kong Mengjie also loved it very much, ”Xinyu, I want one too, can I try it on?”

”Sure, but today I only brought the one for Wang Ailing. If you want, I can bring another one for you tomorrow?”

”Alright, I want the boots too.”

”Okay, let’s go, try them on.”

Wang Ailing was very generous, although this trench coat was hers, she handed it over for Kong Mengjie to try it on when she saw her eager eyes.

After Kong Mengjie put it on, she twirled in front of the mirror a few times, making Jiang Xinyu a bit envious, seeing Mengjie’s bust and wondering when she could catch up?

”Xinyu, I like the khaki one.”

”Alright, no problem, I’ll bring it for you tomorrow. Try the boots too?”

Kong Mengjie wanted both. She left contentedly, allowing Wang Ailing to try on her piece with delight.

”Xinyu. This is so beautiful, I’d rather go half-hungry but I must have it.” Saying this, she hugged the clothes and ran off.

Finally, it was quiet. Sitting down, Jiang Xinyu called Wei Kaiyun.

”Hello, Wei Kaiyun.”

”It’s me, I came back the day before yesterday.”

”Hmm, I still have two weeks before I can take a vacation.”

”Hmm, got it.” She hung up since Yao Shimin arrived.

”Vice Factory Director Yao.”

”Director Jiang, I want a trench coat too.”

”Buying it for family?”

”For myself.”

”Got it, Vice Factory Director Yao, which color would you like?”

”Black, with my fair complexion, black will definitely look great.”

Jiang Xinyu just laughed lightly, ”I’ll bring it for you tomorrow, Vice Factory Director Yao.”

”Is a hundred enough?”

”I’ll give it to you as a gift, Vice Factory Director Yao?”

”How could I accept that?” Saying this, he placed a hundred yuan on the table.

In the afternoon, Jiang Xinyu made a trip to the union hall, and the aunties surrounded her, making her feel like a hapless girl amidst hooligans.

After work, she hurried home, picked out five black ones, six khaki ones, and went to the supply and marketing cooperative.

She came back with two pounds of rice candy.

Those female colleagues were really enthusiastic.

The next morning, before work, she delivered the trench coats the factory directors wanted. By noon, all twenty-one trench coats were picked up.

”Director Jiang has made quite a tidy sum this time?”

”Haha, not bad. Mr. Qian, I’d like to work Saturdays and Sundays without rest, to save up vacation days. Then I’ll take them along with the one-month leave you’ve granted.”

”Planning to go out?”

”Hmm, haven’t decided yet, just feel like giving myself a long holiday.”

”Alright then, Director Jiang, why don’t you invite me to lunch at your place this Saturday noon?”

Jiang Xinyu wanted to refuse, but the words caught in her throat.

”Alright, I’ll make something delicious. Mr. Qian, anything in particular you’d like to eat?”

”Meat, I want to eat mouthfuls of meat till I’m full.”

”No problem. But can we do it on Sunday evening?” Jiang Xinyu nodded; she could indeed commit to it for now.

”Sure thing.”

Today, several more female colleagues requested trench coats. Now she only had fourteen left, initially thinking such a price wouldn’t make them sell too quickly.

Saturday afternoon, after work, Jiang Xinyu went home and gnawed on a pig’s trotter, finding it a bit greasy, feeling she’d had enough.

Gossiping about this might get her beaten up.

Ten to seven, they all came over together. She Xiaoyun brought a scale.

They took away a total of eleven hundred pounds of pork, and ordered three hundred pounds of beef, deciding not to sell the rest, planning to cook a big pot that night.

A big pot of pork, a big pot of beef, inviting Qian Jun for a full meal, and letting him take the leftovers home, after all, she had made quite a bit of money.

After work on Sunday, Jiang Xinyu cooked rice, steamed a big pot of rice, a large portion of braised pork, and steamed ten pounds of red sausage.

Qian Jun arrived at seven-thirty, still carrying his briefcase.

Seeing only a platter of seaweed salad, and heart of cabbage salad as the vegetarian dishes, the rest was a huge basin of braised pork, a large bowl of sauced beef, and a platter of sausages.

”This meal is quite rich, Jiang Xinyu, this is a reward from above, keep it for yourself.”

”A reward?”

”Yep, I reported your contributions accurately, they won’t treat you poorly.”

”Thank you, Mr. Qian, let’s eat.”

Qian Jun didn’t hold back any longer, saying to eat, but in reality, it was just eating meat.

After Qian Jun finished eating and left, Jiang Xinyu packed a box of braised pork for him, filled a cloth bag with half of the sauced beef, and gave him all the sausages.

”Mr. Qian, the sausages can be kept for a long time.”

”Jiang Xinyu, you’re so considerate, thank you.”

The next day, Jiang Xinyu brought a piece of sauced beef to Wang Ailing, with the braised pork cooled and solidified together, planning to invite her over when she had time.

”Happiness, happiness indeed!”

”Hurry and eat. Come to my place on your day off, there’s still braised pork.”

”Definitely, just thinking about braised pork makes my mouth water.”

After work, the female workers at the textile factory became quite a sight. Outside, there were already many imitation trench coats available.
