Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 295. Providence of the Great Age, Upcoming Revival, The Changes in Mount Tai

Outside Earth, the beings of the great clans and races from the various starfields were all drawn by the disturbance that had just occurred. Then they saw that Earth below was now giving off a certain special aura. That aura continued to spread outward, expanding in all directions.

Especially when viewed from beyond Earth, the stars filling the heavens were all flickering in response to the changes in that aura, scattering streak after streak of starlight.

”The power of the Separation of Heaven and Earth is weakening again.” Zhou Yunqiong immediately narrowed her eyes slightly before continuing, ”Earth should soon undergo its Third Awakening. And this Awakening will be the greatest of them all.

”All kinds of myths and legends will appear one after another, along with that Providence of the Great Age that stirs the hearts of all.”

Zhou Yunqiong knew many things, especially after spending time with members of the Ji Clan. She had gradually come to understand that because Earth had been sealed by the Separation of Heaven and Earth, the living beings within it had been unable to embark upon the path of evolution. But once it was opened, what followed would be terrifying.

The living beings on Earth would all receive all manner of enhancements, and their cultivation and evolution would proceed much faster than those in the Outer Cosmos. More importantly, during that process, the Providence of the Great Age would also be born. That Providence of the Great Age would not rest upon a single person alone.

As long as one could descend and then cultivate and evolve here, there would be a chance of obtaining it. That was the ultimate reason why the great clans and races of the various starfields all wished to descend.

Whoever could obtain the blessing of the Great Age’s Providence would surely possess astonishing potential in the future.

Knowing all that, there was a trace of excitement in Zhou Yunqiong’s eyes.

”The Providence of the Great Age is not so easily obtained. Those without outstanding talent, and those lacking a resolute heart, have no chance at all.” Ji Hongyu smiled and continued, ”Enough. There’s no need to concern ourselves with that for now. The power of the Separation of Heaven and Earth is continuously dissipating.

”That means the time when you and I can descend is drawing ever closer. From now, all we need to do is wait.”

Having said that, he turned and walked directly into the great hall. The Ji clansmen at his side also followed behind him one after another. To them, the so-called Providence of the Great Age was something worth anticipating, even if it was only a single thread of it.

Very soon, Zhou Yunqiong was the only one left in this place. Looking down at Earth below, her gaze gradually sharpened once more, and she slowly spoke, ”Lu Yuan, just wait. The grudges between you and me will be settled one day.”

She then turned and left.

As for the great clans and races from the other starfields, they continued observing the changes taking place on Earth, hoping to discover something that would allow them to descend more quickly.

To them, the current Milky Way Starfield was an enormous blessed land. All of them wanted to use this blessed land to completely transform their path of evolution, and then become true powerhouses ruling over a region of their own.

Unfortunately, with the Separation of Heaven and Earth still in place, descent remained difficult. But even so, there were still those devising all sorts of methods.

Back at the Mount Tai Trials Academy, Elder Ji, Elder Yun, and the others were discussing matters concerning the Celestial Court, such as the allocation of resources and whether they should recruit more people.

The current Celestial Court had already become the core of Huaxia. Those within it were all the most gifted Awakened. The two elders understood very clearly that every bit stronger the Celestial Court became, the safer the world would be. And so now, all of their energy was focused on that.

”Elder Ji, Elder Yun, something’s happened.”

Zhu Qingyu, the Ice Fairy, and the others arrived, with urgency written across their faces.

”Our latest readings show that the famed mountains and rivers all across the land are undergoing different degrees of awakening, and a great number of folded spaces have appeared.”

”There’s also an extremely powerful force within Mount Tai itself, but it’s shrouded by some mysterious aura, so we can’t investigate it clearly.”

Utilizing all sorts of methods, the Celestial Court monitored every region throughout the country. The moment any changes occurred, they would know at once. And earlier, after receiving Lu Yuan’s reminder, Elder Ji, Elder Yun, and the others had also learned that another great awakening would occur.

That was why they had been keeping watch the entire time. And now, the time had finally come.

The two elders immediately asked for more details.

They discovered that not only had the changes in the famed mountains and rivers been growing more intense recently, but there was also an even more important point. The folded spaces that had always remained hidden were now directly manifesting.

By now, many people already knew that Earth was not as simple as it appeared on the surface. Not only was it vast beyond imagination, but it also contained many Mythical Secret Realms, or also called folded spaces, such as Guang Chengzi’s Dao ground and the secret realm in Mount Kunlun.

In the past, all of these spaces had remained concealed. But now, things were different. They had manifested directly. It also meant that Earth’s true appearance was likely about to gradually reveal itself before everyone’s eyes.

”This matter must be reported to King Lu as soon as possible.”

After discussing it, Elder Ji and Elder Yun both understood that what lay ahead was likely to be a truly chaotic situation, and they needed to make preparations.

So after instructing Zhu Qingyu and the others to continue observing the changes, the two of them headed straight for Lu Yuan’s residence.

However, on the way there, both of them noticed that the Mount Tai before them seemed to have grown even more majestic. Though no great change could be seen from the outside, there seemed to be some kind of power within. It made the current Mount Tai extraordinarily unique, even under present conditions.

A thought suddenly surfaced in their minds. Perhaps there was a deeper implication for King Lu to have established everything at Mount Tai.

Very soon, the two arrived at their destination. Lu Yuan, too, learned that the famed mountains and rivers were all undergoing change.

”So it has finally begun after all,” Lu Yuan commented with a solemn look in his eyes. He knew what the Third Awakening would bring.

In his previous life, no one knew how many living beings on Earth had died because of it. The Outer Cosmos would begin a full-scale invasion.

But now, the Outer Cosmos beings presumably would not be able to do that.

The Celestial Court had already begun to take shape, and all power had been integrated under his command.

Some things would not happen again.

”By the way, King Lu,” Elder Ji said. ”Mount Tai itself also seems to be undergoing change now, especially within it. But we still can’t tell exactly what it is.”

They could perhaps afford to not care if it were other places since those were far away.

But Mount Tai was right before their eyes. It was the seat of the Celestial Court, the core of power itself. If anything unexpected happened there, the consequences would undoubtedly be enormous.

”It’s fine. I will handle this matter.” Lu Yuan waved a hand, signaling for the two of them to set their minds at ease.

As the foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains and the site of imperial sacrifices, Mount Tai was naturally no ordinary place. The impact of the Third Awakening upon Mount Tai was, in truth, also extremely great.

In the end, he gave the two of them a few more instructions. He told them that the current disturbances were only the beginning. It would continue for quite a long period of time. For now it would not lead to chaos, and they could set their hearts at ease for the moment.

After hearing this, the two elders finally relaxed and departed directly.

Lu Yuan then stepped out of his room. He turned to gaze at the distant Mount Tai, his eyes turning grave.

Even now, he could already see a mysterious power was brewing within it. The Awakening of the world affected all things under the heavens.

After a brief moment of thought, Lu Yuan murmured softly to himself, ”In that case... I should go and have a look at Mount Tai.”
