Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 286. The Eternal Clan, Shifting Circumstances, Unceasing Descents

Back in the Outer Cosmos, she had already heard of the human, Lu Yuan and how he was indeed powerful enough in his own right.

Among all those in this world, he was the one who had advanced the farthest on the path of evolution.

However, this man had already offended both the Celestials and the Ji Clan. Those two powers had already issued a death order against him, and there were not many who could save him. The Eternal Clan, however, absolutely counted as one of those saviors.

They possessed both the strength and the means to do so. Just as the woman had said, if the other party truly was a talent worth nurturing, then the Eternal Clan would not mind stepping in and saving Lu Yuan.

Of course, the price was that he would have to submit. That was non-negotiable.

As for the Spirit Clan’s reaction afterward, with the Eternal Clan standing in front, there would be little left to worry about.

”If he has such an intention, that would be for the best,” the man beside her also nodded.

He was clearly of the same thought. A true talent could not simply be allowed to slip away.

The two then turned their heads.

Their gazes landed on the man standing in the middle because the actual next step still depended on his decision.

”Let’s make some preliminary preparations first. We’ll face plenty of competition in the future. Some matters need not be rushed,” the man spoke, and the rings of divine light behind him began flashing one after another.

As a Ranker of the Eternals, now that he had descended, he naturally had to cast his gaze farther ahead.

The Eternals might be extremely powerful, but they were not invincible.

Now, this world had already become the focus of attention for virtually the entire universe.

Under such circumstances, they needed to proceed carefully.

Lu Yuan was indeed important, but there was no need to hurry. They first had to secure their footing.

”Yes.” The other two nodded. They had no objections whatsoever.

Then, the three Eternals took a step forward, and their figures quickly vanished from the spot.

Scenes like this were unfolding continuously throughout Earth’s famed mountains and rivers. Those beings from the Outer Cosmos were constructing passageways, linking them to folded spaces, and descending directly into this world.

The power of the Separation of Heaven and Earth was gradually weakening, so the people being sent over were also growing stronger and stronger.

In truth, all of this had long been within the predictions of the Celestial Court’s upper ranks.

However, the world was simply too vast. It was impossible to account for everything.

They only knew that beings from the Outer Cosmos were descending without cease.

As for which race they belonged to and from where they had descended, all of that was impossible to know.

Of course, those things were not all that important. They only needed to continue accumulating strength.

Outside Earth, more and more Outer Cosmos beings were gathering. They were spread across different races.

In truth, many of these races bore grudges and disputes with one another to varying degrees.

In the past, if they encountered each other, they would generally fight on sight.

But after drawing near to Earth, nearly all of them quieted down, gazing toward the life-bearing planet below. One after another, they began using different methods to send more of their people down, because the earlier one descended, the greater the chance of birthing that thread of the Great Age’s Providence within themselves.

The power of the Separation of Heaven and Earth still remained, and that was the only reason stopping those old monsters; else, they would never have missed such an opportunity.

Still, sending down some talented juniors was not a bad option either.

Time continued to pass.

Another two or three months went by. And during that period, the situation was no longer as peaceful as before.

Many things happened on Earth as the Outer Cosmos beings descended.

At first, they all kept a very low profile. But in the end, they began revealing themselves one after another.

The first was the Yin Sparrow Race, which decided to establish a power of their own. They enclosed an entire region and declared that they would accept Awakened from Earth. So long as one joined the Yin Sparrow Race, one would be granted all manner of resources, as well as breathing techniques and visualization methods.

Then the Three-Headed Ghost Race followed suit. Beside a lake, they constructed a grand hall named the Three-Heads Hall.

They likewise announced that any talented Awakened from Earth could join them and that they would hold nothing back in teaching them.

Then, it was the Celestials.

As extremely domineering as they were, they directly occupied the Changbai Mountains region and designated it as the Celestials’ territory.

At the same time, they also welcomed human Awakened to join them, even releasing part of their breathing techniques and visualization methods to the public.

It had to be understood that although several years had already passed since Earth’s first Awakening, only a small group of people possessed these two kinds of methods.

The Celestial Court had them, of course, but not everyone could join and cultivate there.

So when the various races brought out their breathing techniques and visualization methods, many people were almost immediately tempted.

There were resources as well and those great clans had not set any real threshold for entry.

Some people had already chosen to head over.

They believed that the future situation would become exceedingly complicated. The beings from the Outer Cosmos were simply too powerful, and the Celestial Court might very well be unable to hold out.

Under such circumstances, they wondered whether joining one of the greater Outer Cosmos powers might be the better choice.

There had long been many people who thought that way.

Certain financial consortiums and capitalist groups had chosen to cooperate with the beings from the Outer Cosmos.

Although many of them had already been purged, it was inevitable that some fish had slipped through the net.

Some factions, and some Awakened as well, were all hesitating, trying to decide which great clan to join.

The Celestial Court did not stop them.

Everyone was entitled to their own choice. This was not something that could be forcibly prevented.

It only needed to ensure that the situation in this world did not descend into chaos.

Fortunately, after descending, those Outer Cosmos beings did not immediately go looking for trouble with the Celestial Court or Lu Yuan.

They too were accumulating strength and adapting to the environment of this world.

Of course, there was likely an element of apprehension involved.

But no matter what, nearly everyone understood that the future would likely overturn many things.

Within a courtyard at the Mount Tai Trials Academy, Lu Yuan was personally pouring tea for Elder Ji and Elder Yun.

”King Lu, according to our statistics, over the past few months, the number of races that have descended, occupied their own regions, and established forces has already exceeded one hundred. And that number is still continuing to rise.”

Elder Ji took out a document. It recorded a great deal of information, all of it discovered by members of the Celestial Court who had been hiding in the shadows.

In any era, information was the highest priority. As the saying went, know yourself and know your enemy, and you will emerge victorious in a hundred battles.

”That is all within my expectations.” Lu Yuan nodded and continued, ”Have those beings from the Outer Cosmos threatened the five supercities?”

”Not for the time being. They are only establishing forces for now. We have not discovered any further intentions,” Elder Yun spoke. He was the chief person responsible for protecting the five supercities.

He had dispatched all kinds of personnel to investigate the situation. So in this respect, he had more than enough authority to speak.

”Then that is good.” Lu Yuan smiled. ”Let them do as they please. What matters most for us right now is still to accumulate strength, so we can prepare for any unexpected situation.”

It could not be helped. The descent of beings from the Outer Cosmos was inevitable. With the Celestial Court’s current strength, it still could not fully contend against it.

This world was destined to become the very center of conflict.

What he could do was maintain the situation in a stable state.

At the very least, when a great war erupted, the Outer Cosmos beings would not dare slaughter the common people at will.

For now, that objective had temporarily been achieved. But it was still impossible to say what would happen in the future.

Elder Ji and Elder Yun could also foresee as much. They knew what the situation outside Earth looked like now with races from everywhere having already gathered there.

Thus, they could not help asking, ”King Lu, can we truly keep guaranteeing that such a peaceful situation will continue?”

Hearing that, Lu Yuan smiled, took a sip of tea, and said calmly, ”I am about to enter the Lesser Sage Realm.”
