Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 289. An Unexpected Battle, A Clash of Physiques, Identity!

That aura was extremely powerful. It surpassed everyone before the youth and carried an overwhelming pressure.

”So the main character has arrived?”

The youth’s eyes lit up. He no longer increased the pressure of his aura, and anticipation appeared on his face.

Below, the others also recovered their senses. All of them turned around with astonishment in their eyes.

A figure was slowly appearing from that direction.

He came with his hands clasped behind his back, his expression calm to the extreme.

Yet the moment he appeared, the tense atmosphere from before vanished entirely.

Almost everyone let out a sigh of relief, and the unease in their hearts disappeared without a trace.

Because the one who had come at this moment was none other than Lu Yuan, who had only just entered seclusion.

Earlier, he had already left part of his consciousness outside.

It was precisely because he feared that some being from the Outer Cosmos might suddenly intrude into Mount Tai and wreak havoc.

Though the chances of such a thing were low, it still had to be guarded against. At the same time, the Celestial Court’s system had only just been established with great difficulty. Nothing could go wrong for the time being, or it would cause endless trouble.

Very soon, Lu Yuan arrived before them. Looking at the youth before him, he frowned slightly.

He did not recognize this person at all, nor did he know who he was.

”You are that human, Lu Yuan?” the youth asked, seeking confirmation.

”That’s right.” Lu Yuan nodded, not denying it, and was just about to say something.

But the youth clearly had no intention of listening. He directly stepped forward, and his aura erupted once more.

Behind him, that great sun surged layer upon layer, sending out beams of divine radiance with boundless might.

Even the surrounding void began to tremble.

This youth truly was powerful.

After sensing such force, the Peacock King and the others were greatly shaken, concluding that this person really was stronger than any Sage from the Outer Cosmos they had encountered before.

Yet Lu Yuan paid the youth no mind at all, nor did he show the slightest alarm. He simply stepped forward and raised a hand.

In an instant, ancient temples and Buddhist shrines rose from the ground and manifested in the sky.

Chants of Buddhist scripture rang out, like a force delivering salvation to the mortal world.

That great sun was restrained.

Then ,Lu Yuan clenched his hand and crushed it outright.

Boom!

The great sun exploded.

It illuminated the entire sky, while the clouds above shattered directly.

”A Buddhist divine art? To think you can use it to such an extent. Good. You truly haven’t disappointed me.”

The youth did not panic at all at the sight.

He stepped forward once more, but this time he did not use any special technique. Infinite radiance surged from his body, and without any flourish, he threw a punch straight at Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan could also tell that this person was extremely strong. Otherwise, he would never have used Buddha’s Palm Domain right from the start.

Especially when the youth charged over, even Lu Yuan could sense a trace of threat from the oppressive strength radiating from the former’s physique.

A worthy opponent!

Yet, Lu Yuan did not feel the slightest killing intent from this person. It seemed he merely wanted a fight.

Great. In that case, I will grant you one.

He likewise refrained from using any divine arts.

Relying purely on physical strength, he faced the youth and threw out a punch of his own.

Clang!

The two fists collided.

It was like metal crashing against metal, producing a thunderous roar.

But neither of them had any intention of stopping. They also knew that if they truly let loose with their strength, all the buildings below would likely collapse. So after that single clash, they shifted sideways hundreds of kilometers in an instant.

They went directly to a place where there were few living beings nearby, then stood facing one another once more.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The two of them fought like primordial beings. The collision of their fists alone triggered earthquakes below.

The earth split apart, forming one ravine after another, and even the mountains and rivers were displaced.

Merely by relying on their physiques, they could alter the terrain itself.

”Solarflame Killing Fist.”

Seeing that he still could not suppress Lu Yuan, the youth finally began using his true strength.

His two fists directly transformed into two blazing suns, one to the left and one to the right, enveloping the surrounding space.

Rumble!

The earth roared, as though it could no longer endure the pressure.

At that moment, he stepped forward and appeared before Lu Yuan in an instant. He smashed out directly with his twin fists.

Even so, he still warned Lu Yuan aloud, ”Be careful. I won’t be able to hold back the force of this strike.”

”There’s no need for you to hold back.”

Lu Yuan smiled. There was no need to say anything more.

This was the first person whose physique alone had allowed him to fight Lu Yuan to this extent.

But now, it was time to start for Lu Yuan to use some real strength as well.

Without hesitation, his chest began to rise and fall.

Dragon-shaped qi emerged from his nose and mouth.

The Primordial Dragon Breathing Technique was activated.

Then, facing the youth, Lu Yuan threw out a punch of his own.

Roar!

Because of the breathing technique, that punch directly brought forth the shadow of a true dragon.

It collided instantly with the youth’s twin blazing suns.

Boom!

The sky itself dimmed at that moment.

Under the force of that terrifying might, the grass and trees below snapped apart, and the massive boulders collapsed.

And in the end, the youth fell short in this aspect. He kept retreating, and there was even a trace of paleness on his face.

Back at Mount Tai, although the people there could not see what was happening, judging from the aura alone, they could tell that in that recent clash, King Lu had absolutely held the upper hand.

King Lu was still King Lu, after all.

Still Earth’s number one expert.

Still Invincible Beneath the Stars.

”You really are something. How is your physique like divine gold?”

The youth raised his hand and looked at the torn purlicue on it, inwardly shaken. His physique had been forged through who knew how many temperings, through who knew how many divine medicines.

And yet now, the other party had completely suppressed him in this aspect...

”You’re not bad either,” Lu Yuan remarked in all honesty.

If all other factors were set aside, this person was probably the strongest opponent he had encountered so far.

”Only ’not bad either’?” The youth sounded somewhat unconvinced and continued, ”I still have more up my sleeve. Come, come, let’s go again!”

As he spoke, he stepped forward. The aura around him grew even denser, while brilliant divine radiance emerged across his skin.

But right at that moment, a cold voice suddenly rang out from afar.

”Jiang Haokong, stop at once!”

Lu Yuan’s heart stirred because the voice was very familiar.

As for the youth, his entire body shook as he instantly withdrew his aura.

From the direction the voice came from, Jiang Ningxian approached.

Unlike when she faced Lu Yuan, her expression at this moment was cold and her gaze solemn.

She walked over one step at a time until she stood before the youth and said, ”Jiang Haokong, you can get away with being willful on our ancestral planet, but now that you’ve come here, you still dare act so recklessly. Do you really think there’s no one left who can keep you in line?”

”Sis... I, I was just—”

The youth wanted to explain but Jiang Ningxian directly grabbed him by the ear.

”And you still dare talk back?”

”I don’t, I don’t! I won’t do it again!”

Against his own elder sister, the youth lost all the imposing bearing he had shown moments ago. He was like a child, continuously begging for mercy.

Only after quite a while did Jiang Ningxian finally stop. Then she turned to look at Lu Yuan with apology in her eyes.

”My apologies. This is my younger brother. I thought he wouldn’t arrive so soon. Who would have thought...”

She had also only just come out of seclusion. The moment she sensed her younger brother’s aura and saw what happened at the Trials Academy, she immediately understood what had occurred.

That was why she had rushed over at once without the slightest delay.

Jiang Ningxian knew very well that if her younger brother and Lu Yuan truly fought in earnest, then the situation might well become impossible to contain.

”Your younger brother?” Lu Yuan smiled, then looked toward the youth before continuing, ”So, you’re that... Holy Son of the Jiang Clan from the Desolate Flame Starfield?”
