She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 391: Chapter 390: It Is Your Honor to Die for the Princess 10

After visiting Song Wenyu’s residence, he didn’t do anything to her, just took her around the mansion and said she should familiarize herself with the place where she would live in the future.

Fortunately, she didn’t have the identity of the Ninth Princess; if she did, Song Wenyu wouldn’t be so courteous to her.

It seems the people of Bei Qi really enjoy tormenting the princesses of Nan Qi, for reasons unknown.

When she returned to her quarters, Cui Jing was exhausted and just wanted to rest for a while, but someone entered the room, causing her expression to change drastically upon seeing this person.

The visitor was Song Muyun, the Eldest Prince of Bei Qi, who didn’t care if she was a Nan Qi Princess; he had always been interested in her solely because of her attractive appearance.

”You’ve certainly been busy today, but at last, this prince has caught you,” Song Muyun entered, and just as Cui Jing was about to run, he grabbed her in an instant, ”Why run? We finally have time without others interrupting us. You’re so compliant with everyone else, why struggle against this prince? Luckily, I’m a forgiving person, so I’ll let it go.”

”Little beauty, today you can’t go anywhere. Just stay here and attend to this prince obediently. If I’m pleased, I’ll take you to the mansion. You’re not a Nan Qi Princess; they won’t care. Once the Ninth Princess of Nan Qi arrives, no one will remember you.”

Song Muyun grabbed Cui Jing’s hand, then lifted her up and tossed her onto the bed.

Cui Jing was so scared that tears welled up in her eyes, but at that moment, someone pushed the door open, and upon seeing the newcomer, she felt a sense of relief.

Song Muyun turned around to see who it was and felt annoyed: ”Third Brother, why are you here? You can’t keep interrupting your brother’s affairs. I’m patient, but that doesn’t mean I won’t get angry.”

”Brother, there are so many beauties in the world; you love them all. Why focus on Cui Jing alone?” Song Yuheng said, ”I have plenty of beauties here. How about I send them to Brother in exchange for Cui Jing?”

Song Muyun leaned back lazily, glanced at Song Yuheng, and then at Cui Jing, who was curled up on the bed, and suddenly laughed: ”Then I must first see how your beauties fare, they better not be inferior to Cui Jing.”

”Naturally, they are good. They’re untouched, reserved for Brother. I wouldn’t dare offer anything impure.” Song Yuheng clapped his hands, and a pair of twins entered from the doorway, whose looks indeed rivaled Cui Jing.

Song Muyun stood up enthusiastically, eyeing the twin sisters with delight and said, ”Good, Third Brother understands my heart. Then I’ll leave Cui Jing to you.”

”However, once the Ninth Princess of Nan Qi arrives, you’d better not interfere with your brother’s affairs again, or I will truly get upset.”

”Naturally, I won’t.” Song Yuheng smiled, though his eyes were icy, ”When that time comes, Brother can enjoy as he pleases; there’s no way I’d interrupt. Brother should understand that I would never prevent it.”

”Is it because of her?” Song Muyun looked back at Cui Jing, who was still curled up, and laughed, ”I didn’t expect a romantic in our Bei Qi Imperial Family,” he leaned in towards Song Yuheng, ”I’ve heard that Second Brother also quite likes Cui Jing. I won’t compete, but neither will I help you compete. You’ll have to find your own solutions for Second Brother. He’s not easy to appease with just a couple of beauties.”

Song Yuheng furrowed his brow slightly; indeed, Second Brother wasn’t someone who could be appeased with just a couple of beauties.

Song Muyun had already taken the twin sisters and left; Song Yuheng closed the door casually and approached Cui Jing, whispering, ”It’s okay now.”

Cui Jing suddenly grabbed Song Yuheng’s wrist, looked up at him, and asked, ”Third Prince, can I follow you?”

In Bei Qi, only Song Yuheng seemed like a good person to her; if she had to choose someone, she would choose Song Yuheng.

Song Yuheng was momentarily surprised, seeing the fear in her eyes, he felt compassion and said, ”You don’t want to go back?”

”Can I even go back?” Cui Jing began to cry, daring only to cry in front of Song Yuheng.

In front of others, the more she cried, the happier and more excited they became, the louder their mockery.

In this place, Bei Qi, staying even a day was torture.

Song Yuheng took out a handkerchief and wiped her tears: ”If you wish to go back, I can send you back. Trust me.”

If she were the Nan Qi Princess, he indeed couldn’t do it, but she wasn’t; she was merely the daughter of a seventh-rank County Magistrate from Nan Qi, making it easy to send her back. Even if Second Brother was displeased, he wouldn’t cause a stir for an insignificant County Magistrate’s daughter. Second Brother was only intrigued by Cui Jing because she was new and amusing.

”Really?” Cui Jing felt hope.

Song Yuheng said, ”Yes, I’ll find a way.”

”Thank you, thank you.” Cui Jing’s tears kept flowing. He was a good person, but she truly wished to return, not wanting to stay in Bei Qi; this place wasn’t fit for human living.

”I found out your Second Brother also arrived with the convoy,” Song Yuheng said, ”At that time, I’ll arrange for someone to contact him; he should be here for you.”

”Given Bei Qi’s current situation, Nan Qi’s best course is not to bring you back openly, for that would make it impossible. You need to write a letter to your Second Brother to prevent any mistakes during his anxious wait, delivering it to him before they reach the Capital City.”

Cui Jing quickly nodded, ”Okay, I’ll write it immediately.”

From her recent understanding of Bei Qi, she clearly knew everything Song Yuheng said was true.

Anything Nan Qi cared about wouldn’t be let go back by Bei Qi.

Cui Jing wrote a letter, and Song Yuheng arranged for someone to deliver it swiftly to Cui Chen.

Cui Chen received the letter, immediately discussed with the envoy, and decided not to bring up Cui Jing’s matter when meeting the Bei Qi Emperor, to prevent her from being unable to leave. Naturally, the envoy was willing, as he was quite afraid of the Bei Qi Emperor.

Throughout history, Bei Qi Emperors have been quite mad, absolutely showing no mercy just because someone was an envoy.

”You’re about to meet your cherished sister, aren’t you happy?” Ah Chen asked.

Cui Chen glared at her, coldly saying, ”What trick are you planning now? Don’t even think about it; it’s impossible. We’re already within Bei Qi’s borders; you can’t escape.”

”Although I can’t escape, a mere word from me could keep Cui Jing in Bei Qi to serve me, which the people of Bei Qi probably wouldn’t oppose.” Ah Chen smiled sweetly, but her words genuinely frightened Cui Chen.

He became anxious: ”Song Chen, don’t go too far! Jing’er has never harmed you. From a young age, you competed for everything with her. If you hadn’t come to our family, we would have been so harmonious. You sent Jing’er to suffer, and now you wish to prevent her from returning home. What’s your motive?”

”It’s just dissatisfaction, especially with you cursing me countless times along the way; because of this, I can’t let her go back easily.” Ah Chen said indifferently, sitting inside the carriage, though she wouldn’t keep Cui Jing; having her around was disadvantageous to her plans.

She simply found Cui Chen unpleasant, teasing him for amusement.

Cui Chen: ”What do you want? I’ll apologize to you; just don’t harm Jing’er, okay?”

”You truly are a good brother.”

”If I were your sister and she the Ninth Princess, would you still act this way?” Ah Chen asked, knowing this is what the commissioner wanted to find out, though deep down, they already had the answer. After all, the final attitude would reveal everything.

Cui Chen didn’t answer, instead saying, ”As long as you spare Jing’er, I’ll apologize however you want.”

If the roles were reversed? Song Chen’s nature wouldn’t allow her to be his sister, and he was glad he didn’t have a sister with such a terrible personality.

”If you don’t want me targeting Cui Jing, remain silent from now on. Don’t let me hear a word from you; otherwise, I’ll keep Cui Jing with me.” Ah Chen said, ”Lower the carriage curtains for me.”

Cui Chen responded, ”Alright.”

Not daring to speak further, he also lowered the carriage curtains.
