She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 376: Chapter 375: Victims Behind the Holographic Reality Show, Part 28

Because the window was relatively small, the monster could only get its head in, but it kept pecking around the window, seemingly trying to squeeze its way in.

Yun Rou gasped in fear, burst into tears, falling to the ground, trembling in terror, crawling and scrambling to get up and run outside. She had just seen clearly that the thing was a goose, no, it should be said it was a mutated goose. A real goose wasn’t that big or that ugly, with dark green liquid oozing from its mouth, disgusting and making one’s scalp tingle.

It also had a sharp beak, capable of pecking the window to pieces, imagine what it could do to a person’s body.

Yun Rou had her phone in hand but had long forgotten about the livestream and was desperately fleeing for her life.

Once outside, she realized there was no one around. Scared, she immediately found a dorm to rush into and hide. Noticing the phone still in her hand, she finally checked it, and everyone in the livestream was asking how she was.

Some suggested she should find Bei Chen, saying that being around someone so powerful would surely be safe.

[Bei Chen is outside exterminating the mutated creatures, I just caught her in the live feed at Xingquan Square, but you could also find a place to hide, going out might be dangerous.]

[There are quite a few mutated creatures outside, better to hide.]

Having experienced two virtual apocalypses, Yun Rou had calmed down. Without knowing the situation clearly, she certainly couldn’t rashly venture out.

She was no superpower user.

Bei Chen?

Has Bei Chen become very powerful again?

She hadn’t figured out the specifics yet, but from what viewers said, she searched a bit and realized the two worlds had merged, and the officials had been broadcasting continuously. Thankfully, it hadn’t affected the internet yet, but who knows if it will later.

She also found videos of Bei Chen leading people to rescue others, taking down each mutated creature with a single punch, truly impressive.

She logged off from her livestream and entered the official livestream, just in time to see the figure of Zombie Bei Chen, nearly clearing Xingquan Square of mutated creatures.

Looks like they’re heading somewhere else.

Yun Rou hurriedly found Ah Chen’s phone number and dialed it.

If they’re changing locations, they should come to the school here. This is Bei Chen’s school too, with many familiar classmates and teachers; Bei Chen surely wouldn’t just watch them die.

The call went through, but Yun Rou was suddenly stunned as the Bei Chen on screen wasn’t answering the call. Did she not have a phone?

Ah Chen’s voice came through the phone: ”What’s up?”

A familiar voice, Yun Rou stared at her phone’s screen, Bei Chen didn’t answer or speak, and vanished from the screen with her group.

What’s going on?

”Bei Chen, where are you?” Yun Rou asked loudly.

Ah Chen sat on a sofa, propping his head with a hand: ”Hiding in a villa, keep your voice down, it’s noisy.”

”You’re not outside?” Yun Rou was shocked. Then who’s outside?

Wait a minute, she remembered the people with Bei Chen, weren’t they from the first virtual apocalypse?

Did people from the virtual world come out?

Yun Rou’s mind was now completely confused, but there were noises and screams outside that left her unable to think much, crying and speaking to Ah Chen: ”Bei Chen, there are lots of mutated creatures at the school, could you come and save me?”

”What did you say?” Ah Chen laughed, ”I’m in hiding, how could I save you? Yun Rou, you’re assuming too much.”

”The Bei Chen outside, did you see? That’s the Bei Chen from the virtual world. I don’t know what’s going on, but she’s really strong. You have some connection to her, she’s currently eliminating mutated creatures, do you have contact with her? Could you ask her to come to the school first?”

At the same time, Yun Rou thought, in the virtual world there’s her, a powerful superpower user, would the powerful version of her appear?

Of course not.

The roles of a few guests in the virtual world couldn’t sustain using soul power.

And the roles following Ah Chen, they were born from that apocalypse and gained consciousness, hence they could follow out. Zombie Bei Chen had a trace of her soul power, so she could exist as well.

”Haven’t you experienced the apocalypse?” Ah Chen said, ”With what you’ve been through, surviving shouldn’t be an issue.”

Yun Rou wanted to say more, but Ah Chen hung up on her.

Her face turned sour, not expecting Bei Chen to be so unfeeling, but she had no choice, even feeling a bit afraid of Bei Chen.

Wen Chulin, also taking shelter in the school, saw the Zombie Bei Chen leading people to eliminate mutated creatures outside, and felt a chill run down his neck.

Thankfully Zombie Bei Chen hadn’t come here yet, but the animals and plants at the school were mutating; they could only temporarily hide inside the buildings, too scared to go anywhere else.

Wen Chulin and his dormmates had just defeated a mutated potted plant, leaving them drenched in sweat.

Suddenly, someone pointed at Wen Chulin in alarm: ”Wen Chulin is wounded.”

Wen Chulin’s heart sank, realizing the pain; the plant had swiped his neck earlier, leaving two gashes that were bleeding, but the blood looked odd, dark red with hints of green.

Soon, he felt his body growing stiff, realizing things weren’t good, his consciousness blurring, with only an instinct to attack his surroundings.

In a daze, he felt himself being attacked.

”Let’s drive him out.”

”Bei Chen over there is tying zombies up, maybe there’s a way to restore them.” Wen Chulin’s roommate hesitated, ”As long as he doesn’t threaten our lives, we won’t do anything to him. But if he attacks, we’ll have to smash his head.”

Everyone in the dorm was college students, and the apocalypse had just arrived. They couldn’t bring themselves to kill a classmate.

So everyone worked together to tie up the zombified Wen Chulin and toss him outside the door.

But things weren’t steady for Yun Rou, she was being attacked by two especially large hamsters. She didn’t know who kept hamsters in the dorm, but it nearly got her killed.

Both were as big as cats, and she could only grab a broom to fend them off, dodging incessantly.

Just then, the fish tank shattered, the fish inside had mutated too, jumping out to chase her.

This dorm was no longer safe, so she quickly rushed out.

After only a few steps, a mutated willow tree wrapped around her, leaving her unable to break free. As she struggled, she saw a familiar figure and instinctively yelled: ”Wen Chulin!”

Once she got a clear look, she realized Wen Chulin’s face was deathly pale, with slow movements, clearly turned into a zombie.

She was speechless, feeling a deep sense of despair rise within her.

The real apocalypse was far scarier than she’d imagined. She actually wished she were still in the virtual world.
