She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 352: Chapter 351: Victims Behind the Holographic Reality Show, Part 4

Ah Chen didn’t speak, and Lu Yu also stopped talking. The two had already fallen unconscious, their bodies reddening, completely in a state of infection.

No one proposed to leave, yet their minds occasionally recalled those words, as if they were being soothed. It seemed that only by doing this could they achieve the desired result.

[Host, I have already taken over the entire virtual world. All data is now transparent to me, and you can arrange things as you wish.] The voice of 997 suddenly echoed in his mind, slightly excited. The host didn’t need him often, so he had to perform well.

Recalling the plan the host discussed earlier, he grew excited.

Ah Chen said to him: [First, make sure I transform into a zombie.]

[And what about Lu Yu?] 997 asked.

Ah Chen: [The rest can be ignored for now.]

The grand finale wasn’t now; it awaited them later. She wouldn’t change too much beforehand.

[Adjust my stats and abilities higher.] Ah Chen added. An ordinary little zombie was boring; if she were to do it, she’d become the king of zombies. Moreover, when this virtual world connects to the post-apocalypse, some values could influence the overall situation.

The three days were extremely hard to endure. During this time, neither Ah Chen nor Lu Yu regained consciousness, their skin burning hot and looking quite terrifying.

Suddenly, Lu Yu let out a loud shout, thrashing wildly. At the same time, his skin and eyes began to change.

His skin turned pale, lips devoid of color, eyes dull and gray. He broke free from the ropes, making a hoarse sound from his mouth, his terrifying appearance startling everyone.

[Shit! Lu Yu has turned into a zombie!]

[Turning into a zombie right at the start, gotta say, Lu Yu is a bit unlucky.]

[What will the others choose to do next?]

Yun Rou, who was originally using a wet towel to wipe Lu Yu’s face, was startled by his sudden reaction, wanting to turn around and run.

His current look was truly frightening, as if he would immediately come over to bite her. Her heart skipped a beat.

Nevertheless, the previous words kept echoing in her head, and seeing that Lu Yu was tied up and unable to break free for now, she felt slightly relieved.

She tentatively called out: ”Lu Yu, do you remember me? Even though you’ve turned into a zombie, I don’t want to give up. We are classmates, friends, the closest in this world. We still need to return together. So please, don’t give up, okay?”

The struggling Lu Yu seemed to understand and actually stopped struggling, looking at Yun Rou with lifeless eyes.

Yun Rou felt a sense of relief and gained more confidence.

It’s really strange. The prompt in her mind seemed like those systems in novels. Regardless, she felt such a prompt wouldn’t appear for no reason. If following the prompt meant survival in this world, of course, she would be willing.

”My name is Yun Rou, we are classmates, do you remember?”

”That’s Jie Weiwei, over there is Rong Man, and he’s He Guiyun...” Yun Rou introduced them one by one, finally fixing her gaze on Ah Chen, whose skin was flushed and still unconscious. ”This is Bei Chen. We came here from another world, agreed to return together, so we can’t give up.”

With Yun Rou’s soothing, Lu Yu really calmed down.

To avoid danger, they didn’t untie Lu Yu just yet.

Since Yun Rou could calm him, the task was temporarily entrusted to her.

Another day passed, and Lu Yu seemed to truly accept Yun Rou. Even if he couldn’t speak, he listened to her. One of the crises within the team seemed to be resolved, and everyone’s gaze inevitably turned to Ah Chen’s position.

[Initially, we thought Lu Yu would be the leader of this team, but then he turned into a zombie.]

[Who knows if Bei Chen will awaken a superpower or become a zombie? Didn’t the program say the subsequent guests and rewards were related to the audience? Isn’t it time yet? I really hope they unlock the permissions now and let Bei Chen awaken a superpower, so at least they’d fare better.]

To this, the program crew quickly responded: The time for the audience’s involvement hasn’t come yet. Now is the free activity time for the guests. There’s a 50/50 chance of Bei Chen either awakening a superpower or becoming a zombie.

The program crew naturally had no control over this. They hadn’t anticipated two participants getting scratched right off the bat.

The crew wasn’t aware of the six participants receiving hints either, as it was something Wen Chulin instructed a technician to do. Whether the participants would reveal the truth after returning was something he wasn’t worried about. Revealing the truth would be to their detriment, and no one was foolish enough to do something against their own interest.

On the fifth day, Ah Chen finally began to change.

When her skin turned pale and her eyes changed, everyone’s hearts sank. If they weren’t mistaken, Bei Chen hadn’t awakened a superpower either.

Which superpower user has pale skin?

Which superpower user has pupils like that? Though they weren’t as lifeless as Lu Yu’s dead fish eyes, it wasn’t a normal person’s gaze.

[I somehow feel that Bei Chen turned into a powerful zombie.]

[You can drop the ”somehow.” She definitely turned into a powerful zombie.]

”Bei Chen!” Jie Weiwei hesitated, calling out.

Ah Chen, of course, had her own consciousness. But she wasn’t deliberately controlling her body now; instead, acting on this zombie’s instincts, she naturally didn’t respond to Jie Weiwei’s words.

Of course, she didn’t intend to attack Jie Weiwei either.

Her eyes stared at the nearby Wen Chulin, prompting him to come to his senses.

Regarding his company’s holographic technology and the current virtual world they were in, Wen Chulin understood more than others. However, he was unclear about what levels of zombies there were in terms of specific data.

But anyone could see that Bei Chen’s appearance was definitely not that of a normal zombie.

”Bei Chen.” Wen Chulin came to his senses, a pained look in his eyes, and cried out, even running towards Ah Chen. He had his own memory, naturally knowing it was a virtual world.

Even if he didn’t understand Bei Chen’s situation, he wasn’t afraid of accidents. After all, he wouldn’t really turn into a zombie or die.

So he unflinchingly approached her, his eyes still deeply affectionate: ”I said before, no matter what you become, I won’t give up.”

”You still look pretty like this.”

”Maybe you forgot, my name is Wen Chulin. Remember that, okay?”

Seeing no reaction from Ah Chen, Wen Chulin gave a sorrowful smile, then reached out to touch her face.

Just then, Ah Chen raised her hand and slapped him, sending him flying.

Wen Chulin’s eyes were vacant, having been flung against the wall by Ah Chen’s slap, tumbling down painfully.

Ah Chen ignored him completely, walking outward.

Wen Chulin got up from the ground, stumbling as he chased after her: ”Bei Chen, where are you going? You didn’t kill me right away, so do you remember me? Are you afraid of losing control?”

Just as Wen Chulin was about to embrace Ah Chen, she turned and kicked him away.

The others finally came to their senses. The bad news was that Bei Chen had turned into a zombie, but the good news was she wasn’t attacking them actively.

But if provoked, she would still fight back.

Seeing Wen Chulin trying again, Rong Man stopped him: ”Don’t go up there, she doesn’t remember us.”

”No, I can’t give up on her.” Wen Chulin charged again, her hitting him would prove once outside who really cared.

Facing Wen Chulin’s renewed pursuit, Ah Chen grabbed his collar and swiftly leaped onto a flagpole, hanging him up there.

Then, she walked into the distance. The others wanted to follow, but when she glanced back, they had to stop, not wanting to be hung on a flagpole.

Wen Chulin was bewildered, struggling in vain to get down, just watching Ah Chen leave with frustration.

How could this happen?

What kind of zombie is this?

[Hahaha, why do I feel like laughing?]

[We thought they were going to die, but Bei Chen didn’t actually kill them.]

[What’s going on with Bei Chen? What type of zombie is she now? She’s not actively attacking humans. What’s she going to do? Looks like she truly forgot her past.]

[Anyway, she’s really strong!]
