Chapter 368: Chapter 367: Victims Behind the Holographic Reality Show, Part 20

Wen Chulin suddenly thought Bei Chen was quite twisted too, wanting to mess with his head.

Without a head, he would be dead. How could he agree? He glanced at Ah Chen and left, but it was clear he had no plans to give up.

Ah Chen didn’t mind; the world was already converging, it would be soon.

There would be a time when Wen Chulin panics.

The time for this program was during vacation; the two Virtual Worlds lasted over a month, with a few days left until school starts.

The school was in the city, so returning was convenient.

But since it was vacation, they didn’t return to school; they went to an off-campus rental apartment.

Moreover, they were juniors now; if they didn’t continue their studies, they would soon have to go out for internships, with only one semester left.

Yun Rou was returning with Ah Chen. Along the way, Yun Rou chatted quite a lot, while Ah Chen didn’t chime in much. Yun Rou didn’t suspect anything, nor would she distance herself from Bei Chen due to inner jealousy; she had to admit that being friends with Bei Chen brought many benefits, in good matters, the other party would first think of those around them.

The Commissioner and Yun Rou weren’t just roommates and friends; Yun Rou was one of her streaming assistants.

On the subway, Yun Rou held her phone and chatted in groups, suddenly asking, ”Fans are asking if you’ll stream tonight. It’s been over a month, they really miss you. How about streaming and chatting tonight?”

”Sure.” Ah Chen didn’t refuse; her relationship with Yun Rou didn’t have a chance of breaking for now, and soon the world would converge, so there was no need to do much; the other would run on their own then.

Seeing Ah Chen had closed her eyes, Yun Rou felt she must be tired, so she didn’t say much, holding her phone without knowing what she was doing.

Suddenly, she received a message from Wen Chulin.

She cautiously glanced at Ah Chen, whose eyes were still closed, making sure she wasn’t noticed before she opened the message.

Wen Chulin: Is Senior streaming tonight?

Yun Rou: Streaming, it’s set, eight o’clock, just chatting simply with fans.

Wen Chulin: Okay, thank you.

Wen Chulin: [Red Envelope]

Although Wen Chulin’s actions were a bit twisted, he probably really liked Bei Chen, appearing a little extreme, just being a fanatic.

If Bei Chen agreed with him, these things afterwards wouldn’t have happened; such a fanatic must be nice to the ones they like.

Yun Rou thought of Lu Yu, feeling quite regretful, she almost managed to reach someone like Lu Yu, every time it crossed her mind, she was filled with remorse.

”Does Wen Chulin often ask you for my information?” Ah Chen’s voice suddenly startled Yun Rou, causing her to almost drop her phone.

She hesitated slightly and said, ”I see he’s quite passionate, so I told him some insignificant but well-known information.”

”So every time I go out, he appears quickly in front of me, all because you help inform him?” Ah Chen asked again.

Since the Commissioner’s whereabouts weren’t particularly secret, she just thought Wen Chulin was paying close attention to her, not considering it was Yun Rou leaking the information.

Usually, Yun Rou almost never spoke much to Wen Chulin, making it hard to notice.

”Still taking red envelopes?”

”How many red envelopes did you receive from him?” Ah Chen asked, ”One red envelope is two hundred, university has been two and a half years, calculate the times I met him everywhere, sometimes it’s not just red envelopes, right? He doesn’t lack money, if important information was leaked, there would be extra rewards, your income must be quite substantial.”

Yun Rou was somewhat panicked; she didn’t want to admit these things.

These were recorded, if not admitted, Bei Chen could just ask her to open records, a check would reveal it. Refusing to let them check would clearly show she was hiding something.

”I remember telling you, I have no feelings for Wen Chulin, nor have I ever accepted his things. All these years, you should know that. And yet, you still accepted red envelopes and leaked my whereabouts. Now you know what he’s been doing, yet you continue receiving red envelopes, leaking my information, what’s your intention?” Ah Chen didn’t say much more, finally saying, ”Junior year only has one semester left. Next, should start interning, you don’t need to follow me anymore, what’s due will be settled for you.”

Initially intended to let her leave on her own, now with this excuse, there was no need to wait, it seemed reasonable.

Yun Rou’s eyes reddened from urgency, she quickly said, ”Bei Chen, give me another chance. I’ll return the red envelopes to him and won’t disclose any of your whereabouts anymore. I thought you didn’t mind these things...”

”Are you sure I really don’t mind? Otherwise, why do you have to hide it? Isn’t my attitude clear enough?”

Yun Rou tightly gripped the phone, despite receiving so many times, this time being caught was frustrating.

Arriving at the station, Ah Chen stood up.

Yun Rou quickly followed, attempting to say something, only to see Ah Chen open the group chat on her phone and immediately remove her as an administrator, casually kicking her out.

”School starts in a few days, remember to move your things then.”

Ah Chen walked into the place she lived, not letting Yun Rou in, while the other stayed at the studio during the holiday. Initially, the two would have gone out to eat and shop.

The sudden removal from group management stunned fans.

Ah Chen spoke in a few groups: Streaming schedule remains unchanged, Xiao Rou due to personal reasons is no longer my assistant or group admin. @all members

The world will soon converge, she wouldn’t continue doing the Commissioner’s tasks. Since the other party didn’t require it, she would do as she pleased.

Yun Rou stood at the doorway, shocked at Bei Chen’s decisive action, giving her no chance at all.

Even though she was no longer a group admin, she still had some friends.

After being kicked out and Ah Chen’s announcement about her situation, friends from her list quickly asked what happened.

She saw the screenshots but dared not say much, for in this matter she had no valid position, simply saying: Personal reasons.

Yet internally, she wasn’t quite reconciled, she added: I didn’t do well enough.

Let them guess; she didn’t say anything. Whatever rumors arose were purely their speculation, unrelated to her. Moreover, she admitted it, that she hadn’t done well enough; what more was needed?

Through two Virtual World experiences, Bei Chen attracted a large crowd of fans.

Whereas she, her performance in the second Virtual World resulted in many original fans leaving. Even though it was normal reaction, what she said while driving wasn’t likable at all.

She understood some of Bei Chen’s character; once she said she wouldn’t use her anymore, there was no redemption, no chance.

She should never have joined that program, Yun Rou thought.

Disregarding fan speculations, at eight in the evening, Ah Chen began the broadcast.

Yun Rou was quite focused on the matter, immediately entering the stream to watch.

Ten minutes later, Ah Chen’s stream showed as being banned, even if for just one minute, it was quite disruptive.
