She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 370: Chapter 369: Victims Behind the Holographic Reality Show, Part 22

Through her identity as Bei Chen’s former assistant, Yun Rou actually gained quite a few followers.

Some people snapped out of it and started to criticize her. Anyway, she was all out there, and she really didn’t care. In fact, this even created a buzz, and some people started defending her. They said, well, Bei Chen isn’t live streaming anymore, and you can’t stop others from doing it, right? That really upset the Commissioner’s fans.

But they couldn’t find fault. She just borrowed the identity for live streaming and didn’t even speak ill of Bei Chen, leaving people feeling frustrated.

Ah Chen saw the Commissioner’s fan comments and posted something: I still feel uneasy, growing more so with time. Let’s not focus on trivial things but make some preparations. Better safe than sorry, and if something does happen, we won’t be in such a panic. Get food, water, various daily necessities, just in case.

Even though she prepared a lot for this, when another world merges over, it’s not a process that can end quickly. A little preparation would be better in any case.

If you wait until the crucial moment to prepare, the world will be in chaos, and stabilization will be difficult. Prices could skyrocket, and there would be shortages. After merging, all kinds of problems will emerge, undoubtedly making a mess.

Besides the show’s trailer, she also had 997 send more complete information to the officials, explaining how to deal with things based on the Commissioner’s memory of the merged world. Even if they are skeptical now, it will serve as a reference for the future. But she believes they’ll start preparing, even if secretly.

That’s the best that can be done, fulfilling one of the Commissioner’s wishes. The remaining issues will have to be faced by everyone.

Originally, the indignant fans saw that Ah Chen didn’t care, and instead reiterated her previous advice. Some had already made preparations, but with Ah Chen bringing it up again, they felt somewhat uneasy and forgot about Yun Rou. Maybe they should prepare more? That’s what’s on the minds of those who had prepared.

Or should they listen to Bei Chen’s words? That’s the thought of those who initially didn’t believe.

Since Ah Chen stopped streaming and Yun Rou started, she thought every day about the content of her streams and didn’t have time to worry about Ah Chen’s situation. Her slight worry was that if Bei Chen really got angry, she might expose the fact that Yun Rou received red envelopes from Wen Chulin.

She had already figured out how to handle it.

Bei Chen isn’t ruling the world. This is the real world, and not everything is under her control.

Regarding that point, evidence should be presented, right?

The only witness is Wen Chulin, and he probably isn’t interested in testifying for Bei Chen.

Today’s live content from Yun Rou was about two virtual apocalypses.

”During the first apocalypse, I thought I had some sort of system. The hints told me not to make a sound, and initially, I didn’t believe it. But later on, things went progressively smoother, and I ended up believing it. At the time, I didn’t think much about it. I felt like anyone would follow the guidance in that situation, right?”

”As for the second apocalypse, I considered my actions quite normal. It felt like truly facing an apocalypse, and nobody awoke any cheat abilities for me. Maybe in this world, people are very persistent, very infatuated, risking everything for someone they like. But, I really am not that kind of person.” Yun Rou candidly addressed the matters of the virtual world, gaining quite a few fans, ”I’m just an ordinary person, afraid of death, so the first thought is definitely about survival.”

”Of course, I was attracted to Lu Yu, but obviously, this became a barrier between us. It’s impossible now, and can only be considered a bit of regret. He’s handsome and wealthy; how can there be no regret? Is it normal for humans to pursue those who are attractive and have good conditions?”

What she said resonated with many ordinary netizens.

Back then, there were eight participants in the show, and after it ended, the others no longer mentioned these things or explained anything, as if they had forgotten. Only Yun Rou faced it directly; her personality really endeared her to people.

Everyone thought she was a straightforward and candid person, and her followers were growing.

After the live stream ended, Yun Rou saw the gifts she received today, feeling happy.

The phone rang, and she glanced at it, finding it was a message from Wen Chulin.

She looked around the dorm room. Bei Chen didn’t stay in the dormitory, and the other two roommates were playing games together. These two had entered college together after high school; they were very close, and others couldn’t quite fit in, managing only casual chatter in the dorm. She saw this early on and immediately got closer to Bei Chen.

Later, in the dorm, those two hung out together, while she and Bei Chen stayed together, living harmoniously with them for over two years.

Returning to her senses, she checked Wen Chulin’s message.

Wen Chulin: What has Senior Bei Chen been up to lately?

Yun Rou: I don’t know.

Wen Chulin frowned. He hadn’t been keeping up with online matters lately and wasn’t aware Ah Chen stopped streaming.

He asked again: You didn’t hang out with her?

Yun Rou chuckled and told Wen Chulin that Ah Chen was no longer streaming and had disbanded her team, so she really had no idea what Bei Chen was up to.

Wen Chulin felt a bit annoyed, didn’t reply further, and without getting the information he wanted, didn’t send Yun Rou a red envelope.

Yun Rou didn’t care; her streaming income now was substantial, far surpassing what Wen Chulin gave.

She knew long ago that streaming was profitable, but hadn’t dared to try before. With Bei Chen suddenly exiting, it actually created a buzz and drew many people to her.

Bei Chen might be unhappy, but couldn’t effectively bother her since Bei Chen was the one who stopped streaming, couldn’t blame Yun Rou.

Ah Chen genuinely wasn’t upset. These were just temporary matters.

Recently, she stockpiled some supplies, filling the place across her studio and storing quite a lot in her house. After world fusion, she was confident she could survive individually. These supplies were prepared for the orphanage, as the Commissioner initially disregarded these matters due to anger. Upon learning about her stockpiling, he asked 997 to relay a message hoping she would take care of the orphanage.

Besides the headmaster and a few teachers, the rest were children, all with their own minor flaws.

Knowing the supplies were intended for the orphanage put the Commissioner at ease.

The orphanage wasn’t large; what she stockpiled could support them for a year. A year’s time should be sufficient for two worlds to slowly stabilize. If it wasn’t enough, she’d find a way.

Her phone rang again, and Ah Chen glanced at it; it was a message from Wen Chulin.

She opened and scanned it.

Wen Chulin: Senior, I miss you, still really like you.

Ah Chen replied: Do you like me that much? Why not twist your head off and give it to me, okay?

Onlookers like 997 were shocked, wondering what kind of horror conversation this was.
