She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 359: Chapter 358: Victims of the Holographic Reality Show Exposé 11

Ah Chen watched as the virus completely disappeared from the mutant rooster’s body. Now it could only be considered a relatively strong rooster. Whether it had any superpowers still needed testing, but it was no longer as dangerous as a mutated creature. Even if it attacked and humans were caught, it was impossible for them to be infected by the virus.

She accomplished this by instructing 997 to modify values while commanding the zombies to act, trying to keep things logical and grounded so that these things could be usable once the two worlds converged.

If things were unreasonable, even if they could be used, they couldn’t be replicated, and the problem would revert to how it was initially.

So, the concoctions developed by the zombies were all things that could be made under real-world conditions.

If nothing else, she still had a bunch of zombies she could control. These zombies were currently virtual settings. As long as they weren’t eliminated, they would continue to exist even if the world merged.

Once the time came, she would restore all of them to humans, and strong humans at that. By then, they’d be more than enough to deal with the mutant creatures from the other world.

There’s a pretty good chance that the zombies of the other world would heed her call since the other side was based on this Virtual World for fusion.

We’ll see when the time comes; everything that needed preparing was prepared, after all, these were matters of two worlds, not something easily resolved.

The concoction could now be tested on zombies, Ah Chen thought, so she instructed the zombies around her to proceed.

First, see how it works, and then make modifications.

[What are they communicating about now?]

[Ah, I’m so anxious.]

The technicians on Wen Family’s side were also at a loss. The problem was they hadn’t detected anything wrong, and could only try to quickly locate the replay. But the data was vast and complex, solving it wasn’t something that could be done quickly.

They were also quite curious about what Bei Chen was up to.

Until they saw that concoction, they were taken aback. While highly flexible, it was also based on data settings. Was this part of the settings?

They vaguely sensed something off but couldn’t pinpoint the issue.

Moreover, so far, except for the initial few who awakened superpowers and became a joke, nothing else had gone wrong.

Soon, the audience followed Ah Chen’s perspective and saw the effects of the concoction on the zombies.

Seeing with their own eyes a zombie struggling for a long time before slowly regaining a human appearance, they were thrilled.

[Ah, it really is that concoction. Bei Chen must have gained consciousness, gathering all the zombies to restore humanity, and she succeeded.]

[Oh my god, I can’t believe it, she’s incredible!]

[From now on, Bei Chen is my idol.]

[Wait, this is just a Virtual World, don’t take it too seriously.]

[Even in the Virtual World, who else but Bei Chen could achieve such a thing?]

Just then, Ah Chen punched the person who had just become human again, then shook her head and said, ”A bit weak.”

Despite having taken a punch, even with a slightly swollen face, he simply smiled foolishly, not minding at all: ”It’s great to be able to look human again, my king.”

”Since you’ve recovered, that’s that,” said Ah Chen, ”Next, do more physical training and see if you develop any superpowers. Later on, you can try the superpower awakening and physical enhancement concoctions, only by doing so can you increase in strength.”

”Understood, my king.” The young man who had returned to human form immediately responded.

Ah Chen, after thinking about it, chose a few more zombies and restored them to human form for easier communication.

[Huh? Can Bei Chen speak?]

[So, she didn’t speak before just because the zombies couldn’t understand, using another form of communication?]

[Is Bei Chen planning to end the apocalypse on her own?]

[No matter what, I’m a fan now!]

There was nothing else on Ah Chen’s side for the moment. The audience flocked to another side for discussion, voicing to He Guiyun and others via screens, as if trying to convey that the world now held hope.

Of course, He Guiyun and the others couldn’t see it.

[Why isn’t there a vote for Bei Chen, ah, I want to reward her, let her upgrade wildly.]

[Exactly, she should become the strongest.]

This was a money-making opportunity. After some discussion, the production team decided to cater to the audience’s wishes by enabling them to upgrade Bei Chen.

Right away, 997 communicated this to Ah Chen: [It’s just an upgrade for the host, no other effects.]

[Then I’ll ignore it,] Ah Chen said. Being able to upgrade was good, and since the audience rewarded, the money couldn’t just let the show profit freely. Although she wanted to upgrade, she could just have 997 alter the data. But since the audience was invested, she took the opportunity to become stronger, preparing for the future apocalypse.

Once the permission was opened, the audience rewarded furiously. With those upgrades, Ah Chen’s appearance diverged less from humans, though differences were still noticeable in her pupils.

Since it’s all a Virtual World, the production team wasn’t worried.

These earnings were also shared with the Wen Family, of course, they didn’t prevent the audience’s rewarding.

As a result, Ah Chen kept upgrading, unstoppable until she controlled it herself, lest by the time of fusion the world couldn’t bear it and suppressed her level.

In the following time, Ah Chen stayed in the lab observing concoction trials, and as the concoctions were constantly improved, the recovered humans became increasingly powerful.

When she felt it was about right, she called for mass production of the concoction to restore all zombies to human form.

”King,” someone beside her handed her a concoction meant for her.

Unexpectedly, she shook her head: ”I don’t need it.”

The person next to her didn’t understand, but considering Ah Chen’s prowess, there indeed was no need.

There were still many of such concoctions, prepared for later.

Then she instructed everyone to disperse those common concoctions everywhere, altering those mutant creatures.

Because it was the Virtual World, she didn’t bother notifying other powers apart from where the show cast them; everything else was NPCs set by the program.

After the world fusion, whether they could exist was unknown.

Those she had gathered would certainly continue to exist.

On this day, Wen Chulin and others went out to exterminate mutant creatures. Suddenly, numerous aircraft appeared overhead, dropping some kind of liquid. They hurriedly dodged. As the liquid fell on the mutant creatures, they struggled for a bit and then changed appearance. They were still quite large, but not intimidating. They even had an intuitive feeling that the virus might have been eradicated?

Looking again at the ground, where the liquid had fallen, there were indeed some changes, the soil seemed purified.

What was going on?

Within a few days, the entire world was renewed.

The apocalypse seemed to have suddenly ended.

Very soon, they learned who was behind it all. It was Bei Chen!

They saw on the television how Bei Chen had taken control of the entire world, and they were bewildered.

The one most reluctant to believe was Wen Chulin. Was it really her doing all that?
