Super Gene Hunting Ground

Evening fell, and ten Spaceships took off from Wildman Valley. Yang Xiao piloted the Warship alone, arriving at the mining base two hundred kilometers away.

Ah Bao’s Spaceships here were a bit smaller, each barely squeezing in about a hundred people.

”Ah Bao, are you ready?”

”Boss, all set.”

”Okay, take off immediately, follow me to Pegasus City. Did you get everything I told you before?”

”Don’t worry, once we reach the outskirts of Pegasus City, we’ll disembark in advance, gather outside the city, and pretend to attack to draw their forces.”

”Good. Gu Beifeng, you pilot my Warship. This Warship was captured from the Mercenary Army and cannot be recognized by the Defense Light Screen of Pegasus City, but you can pilot it to assist Ah Bao and others in the attack from outside the city.”

”Understood!”

Initially, Yang Xiao had all of Gu Beifeng’s men learn to pilot Spaceships, and now it was proving useful.

Amidst the night, twenty-one Spaceships flew toward Pegasus City.

As they approached Pegasus City, Yang Xiao, the Wildman King, Wind Eagle, Shan Feng, Tai Qi, and others flew their Spaceships directly into the Defense Light Screen, while Ah Bao’s ten Spaceships and Gu Beifeng’s Warship landed on a flat ground three kilometers away from Pegasus City. One thousand Wildman guards exited the Spaceships, assembled together, and ran towards Pegasus City.

Gu Beifeng piloted the Warship, closely following above the troops.

.....

After Yang Xiao left the Jino City Lord Mansion, Jino started to feel restless, pacing back and forth inside the room.

He had some premonitions about the outcome of the fight between Yang Xiao and Long Yue, but he didn’t expect it to come so soon, and what shocked him even more was Yang Xiao’s domineering attitude.

And, Yang Xiao even looked down on him, which was somewhat arrogant.

Back when Yang Xiao asked for his help to visit Gong Yu and others in Pegasus City, Jino realized Yang Xiao was a person of deep loyalty. Dozens of Yang Xiao’s brothers were captured by Long Yue, which presented a great opportunity.

Later when Long Yue attacked Wildman Forest, Yang Xiao took the opportunity to move all the Wildmen to Wildman Valley, and this began to cause conflicts between Long Yue and Yang Xiao.

Especially since Yang Xiao’s Wildman Valley mines lured away a huge number of private mine owners and Miners, snatching Long Yue’s business, exacerbating the conflict.

Jino deliberately revealed that Yang Xiao cared greatly about his brotherly bond with Gong Yu and advised Long Yue to keep a tight hold and watch him closely.

He knew Long Yue was narrow-minded and brutal, but he didn’t expect Long Yue to have tortured Gong Yu to death so quickly, sparking an uncontrollable feud.

”Can Yang Xiao succeed in attacking Long Yue now?

This kid is backed by Wildman Valley now, his power has grown, he doesn’t even take me seriously anymore.

What should I do now?

Should I inform Long Yue in advance, join forces with him to directly consume Yang Xiao and his Wildman troops,

Or let Yang Xiao attack Long Yue, and after he kills Long Yue, take advantage of the situation and besiege Yang Xiao?”

Jino was very troubled, undecided for the moment.

He detested Long Yue, even hated him deeply, after all, Long Yue had threatened his own status, but Long Yue was also his compatriot, both from the Great Dragon Empire, and facing external forces, they should unite.

Furthermore, if Long Yue died, Jino would have to explain himself properly to those above and handle the aftermath, silencing many people.

He didn’t dislike Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao’s arrival had helped him a lot; Wildman Valley had helped him withstand Long Yue’s pressure, stabilizing his position for the time being. Moreover, Yang Xiao gave him twenty-five Mining Fields, letting his nephew Xingyun Piaoxue manage them on his behalf, with most of the revenue ending up in his own pocket.

That was a huge sum of money, much higher than the income from his City Lord position.

His only worry now was that Yang Xiao’s power was growing stronger by the day, and in the future, he might become too domineering to control.

”Ah, what a difficult choice!”

...

The fleets of the Jino Army and Long Yue’s forces had reciprocal recognition in their respective city Defense Light Screen systems.

Yang Xiao and the others flew ten spaceships directly into Pegasus City, and the city’s defenders didn’t pay them any mind.

Ten spaceships landed around Long Yue’s residence, and two thousand warriors charged out, surrounding the entire mansion.

”Kill, slay anyone on sight, leave no survivors!”

At Yang Xiao’s command, two thousand wild warriors stormed into the mansion.

Although Pegasus City had two thousand elite troops, these soldiers were usually not stationed at Long Yue’s residence, but rather at the city’s military camp.

There were only two hundred guards in the residence.

Two thousand Emperor Level Realm wild warriors flooded in like a tidal wave, instantly breaking into the mansion.

”Not good, assassins!”

”Not assassins, they’re wildmen.”

”The Wildmen are attacking us, protect the City Lord quickly!”

...

Long Yue was resting at home when he suddenly heard the sounds of combat outside and rushed out immediately.

He was met by a dozen guards running towards him, covered in blood.

”What’s going on?”

”My Lord, a horde of Wildmen has stormed in, killing anyone they see, we can’t hold them back.”

”Dammit, where is the army? Go call the army!”

”We’re completely surrounded, we can’t break through.”

”Quick, activate the alarm!”

”We didn’t have time to activate the outside alarms, the Wildmen are flooding in like a tide, many of our brothers are dead.”

”Don’t panic, follow me to the main hall, there’s an alarm there.”

Long Yue, with fear and anger in his heart, rushed with a dozen guards towards the mansion’s main hall. The sounds of killing drew closer, and large explosions resounded within the mansion, flipping over many houses.

Long Yue and his guards burst into the hall and pressed a button; a stream of colored fire shot straight up from the roof towards the sky, just like fireworks on Earth.

The alarm firework exploded in mid-air with a loud bang, audible throughout Pegasus City.

The military camp was about two kilometers away from Long Yue’s mansion.

The on-duty guard at the camp saw the alarm firework and heard the huge noise, immediately sounding the alarm bell.

”This is bad, the City Lord’s mansion is under attack, they’ve launched a distress firework.”

Two thousand soldiers were quickly organized, ready to move towards the City Lord Mansion.

At this moment, at the city gates of Pegasus City, another alarm firework was set off.

As it turned out, Ah Bao, Gu Beifeng, and others waiting outside Pegasus City saw the alarm firework rising within the city and knew that the fight had started inside.

According to the prior agreement with Yang Xiao, if there was no alarm firework within the city, they would not act. But if there was, they would attack the city gates to disperse the enemy forces.

Gu Beifeng immediately manned the warship, bombarding the city gate with a barrage of laser cannon fire.

Ah Bao led a thousand Wildmen in a distant chant.

The two hundred guards at the city gate, scared stiff by this show of force, quickly launched an alarm firework.

The military camp was in a dilemma.

”Damn it, someone is attacking the city, an alarm from the city gate, what do we do? Which place do we go to save first?”

”There’s no choice, the city gate can’t be compromised, send a thousand men to support the city gate, and a thousand to Lord Long’s mansion.”
