Super Gene Hunting Ground

Yang Xiao came to the poolside again.

This time, when Black Jinkang saw Yang Xiao, he darted over.

”Boss, you’re finally here.”

”What do you mean?”

”Our Ape King asked me if you still have any of those pills?”

”Uh?”

”Hey Boss, don’t you know? The effect of the pill only lasted a day and a night, and then it disappeared. Now the Ape King is getting anxious.”

Yang Xiao was taken aback and then burst into laughter.

For these beasts, impulsiveness is a primitive instinct and the greatest pleasure in their daily lives, even more enjoyable than increasing their genetic evolution.

The pills that Yang Xiao concocted were like drugs, addictive to those beasts that had tasted them.

Thinking it over, Yang Xiao took out two pills and said:

”Black Jinkang, I’ve got two pills here. Listen carefully to what I’m about to say before you decide,

This elixir medicine can indeed temporarily increase your combat strength, but you’ll become dependent on these pills. You’ll think about them all the time, and I can’t supply them to you every day.

However, if you take a small dose, there shouldn’t be any major side effects.”

Yang Xiao pointed to the pills in his hand,

”You can divide this pill into ten portions and take a little each time. Don’t consume too much.”

Black Jinkang wasn’t stupid. After listening, he nodded, took the pills from Yang Xiao, and ran off towards a distant valley.

After Black Jinkang left, the Golden Lion King said:

”Boss, actually, you could make more of these pills, just like you said to Black Jinkang, in reduced doses.”

Yang Xiao was startled,

”Why make so many? Do you want them too?”

Black Jinkang cunningly smiled and said:

”There are so many demon beasts here. You only have to give them the pills twice, and they’ll probably become addicted. After that, whatever you ask them to do, won’t they obediently listen to you?”

”Buzz!”

Yang Xiao’s mind was shaken as he looked at the Golden Lion King. This method seemed pretty good.

It was difficult to control the several hundred thousand various beasts in the entire Primitive Forest.

Currently, the demon beasts that were fed with Crystal Stone Powder made up only a tiny fraction and moreover, it wasn’t possible to truly achieve control over them. The last Super Tyrannosaurus, after breaking through its own abilities, attempted to dominate the forest and proclaimed itself king, leading the demon beasts and Wildmen in a confrontation.

If these beasts used the pills and became addicted, they would probably need Yang Xiao’s elixir medicine for a long time. Wouldn’t it be easy to ask them to do things?

Controlling demon beasts with elixir medicine is the same as controlling humans with drugs.

If this concept were expanded, selling these medicines as a special remedy to the Witch Star people could make for a good business, right?

Back on Earth, Viagra made billions a year, with so many people becoming obsessed once they were on it.

Yang Xiao looked at the Golden Lion King, smiled, and said:

”In a while, I’ll accompany you to look for the pride of lions in the Primitive Forest and let you show off your prowess.”

”Heh, Boss, there might not be any of my kind in this forest.”

”Don’t lose heart; there definitely are. I heard from the Wildman King last time that your kind does exist in the forest, it’s just hundreds of kilometers away from here. I don’t have the time to accompany you to look for them right now, but the construction of Wildman City is almost complete, and I will definitely accompany you to find them.”

”Thank you, Boss.”

Deep down, the Golden Lion King still hoped to find his own kind; only then would he feel a sense of belonging.

There were still plenty of collected medicinal herbs, so Yang Xiao made two more batches. With his improving alchemy skills and better control over the heating process, Yang Xiao now took only about five days to concoct a batch.

After completion, Yang Xiao took the fruit jam sugar usually boiled by the Wildmen, mixed in the medicine, boiled the jam sugar until it was a bit drier, and rolled it into small balls of soft candy.

That made about fifty or sixty pieces of soft candy.

”Hmm, should I try this myself to see the effects? There should be some clinical trial, right?”

Yang Xiao went home, ate one, and the effect was indeed good.

Yang Xiao felt that if it were used by an ordinary person, the dosage could be reduced to one-quarter, and if given to demon beasts, the effect of one piece could be halved.

Yang Xiao came to the poolside again, and this time, he saw five or six female gorillas gathered around Black Jinkang, who seemed to be enjoying his past few days.

Yang Xiao called over Black Jinkang and the Golden Lion King, and gave them thirty pieces of fruit sugar.

”Remember, give one piece to each male demon beast that comes to drink water.”

Black Jinkang glanced at them and said:

”Boss, these pills seem different; they even smell like fruit jam.”

”Black Jinkang, you have to watch your health. Eat at most one piece a day, or one every other day. These five are specifically for you. I may not be able to concoct them fast enough to keep up with your consumption, so I can only give you some periodically.”

Yang Xiao’s thought process was simple; as long as he controlled the high-level demon beasts that often came here to drink Crystal Stone Powder water, he could indirectly control thousands of other beasts in the surrounding area. After all, those Emperor Level demon beasts were leaders of their respective species.

”Boss, what’s the name of this pill? What do I say to the other demon beasts when they want it?”

”A name? Hmm, let’s call it Happiness Pill.”

”Happiness Pill? Hehe, that’s a nice name.”

After Yang Xiao left, the Golden Lion King and Black Jinkang distributed the Flower Heart Pill to thirty demon beasts. After consuming them, each beast was invigorated.

As a result, more demon beasts came to the Golden Lion King and Black Jinkang asking for Blessing Pills.

”Everyone, don’t rush. Our boss said this is a benefit to increase everyone’s happiness; the medicine is personally concocted by him. Currently, the quantity is limited, but our boss will soon prepare a new batch of medicine for everyone.”

”Ah, I’m so looking forward to it, I hope I don’t have to wait too long!”
