Super Gene Hunting Ground

Ah Chuan sneered and said:

”Tell him? The Wildman King has long become history in our Wildman tribe. Now our Wildman tribe is being hunted by the people of Witch Star, hiding here and there. Isn’t the Wildman King the same?

He is not able to save our Wildman, we have to rely on ourselves.

The secret of this cave must not be leaked by anyone. Once we have studied it and improved the Genetic Evolution Level of the entire tribe, one day we will unite the Wildman tribes, oppose the people of Witch Star, and dominate Purple Origin Star.”

Flying Wolf stood aside, feeling rather conflicted.

Initially, he was pursuing a wild beast when he accidentally discovered that cave and later told Ah Chuan about it. Everyone then re-entered the cave to examine the writing, confirming it was indeed the mysterious cave mentioned in the legends of the Wildman tribe.

At that moment, Ah Chuan became obsessed, determined to keep this secret to his own tribe, hoping to someday unearth the secrets hidden within the cave, breaking through the bottleneck of Genetic Evolution and reaching Emperor Level, to dominate Purple Origin Star.

Humans are ambitious, and Wildmen are no exception!

However, the news had already spread within the tribe and even reached other places.

Ah Chuan urgently gathered the tribe for a meeting, communicated with everyone, and by force of will, aligned their thoughts, making them keep the secret. If anyone inquired, they would say the cave could no longer be found.

After all, according to the legends, this cave has always been mysterious and impossible to locate.

Despite some within the tribe not fully agreeing with Ah Chuan’s ideas, under the pressure exerted by him, they had no choice but to align their narrative.

The news quickly spread, and several tribal leaders from nearby came to see the cave.

Thus, Ah Chuan along with Flying Wolf and others put on performances of searching and scouring the mountains again and again, deliberately leading the search away from the actual cave.

After persistent searching, those who came looking for the cave gradually lost patience and gave up.

What Ah Chuan did not expect was that the Wildman King, who was thousands of kilometers away, would also come in search of this cave.

...

After flying away from the valley, Yang Xiao found a secluded and uninhabited valley some tens of kilometers away and landed the spaceship.

The Wildman King was startled,

”Kid, aren’t we going back?”

Yang Xiao parked the warship and said with a smile:

”Grandpa, do you really believe what Ah Chuan said?”

”What do you mean?”

”As Wildmen living in the forest year-round, if you made such an important discovery, what would you do?”

”I,”

The Wildman King showed a surprised look, hesitated for a bit, then said:

”Of course, I would make some marks along the way, so I could easily return.”

”Hmm,”

Yang Xiao nodded,

”Right, that’s what any normal person would do. So do you think Flying Wolf is a normal person?”

The Wildman King suddenly understood and said:

”You mean, Flying Wolf and the others know about the existence of the cave but deliberately lied and didn’t tell us, right?”

”Yes.”

Yang Xiao shared with the Wildman King the conversation he overheard last night while urinating.

After listening, the Wildman King said angrily:

”That Ah Chuan, so insidious! The cave belongs to all of our Wildmen, not just him, not just his tribe. I must go back and question him properly and see how he responds to me.”

Yang Xiao said with a laugh:

”Grandpa, at your venerable age, you still can’t stay calm!”

”Me?”

”I know you’re angry. You feel that Ah Chuan doesn’t respect you as the Wildman King. Actually, you can understand Ah Chuan’s behavior. After all, the Wildman tribes are scattered now, and you are powerless. Their respect for you is merely lip service,”

Actually, there’s no need for you to be angry, just think about it, when they were being chased by the Witch Star people, could you even help at all?”

”Me?”

The Great Chief of the wildmen froze on the spot, his complexion changing as guilt seeped out.

As a generation’s Great Chief of the wildmen, failing to lead his people against the invasion of the Witch Star people and to protect his own citizens, he indeed felt very guilty.

”Sigh!”

The Great Chief of the wildmen helplessly sighed, feeling like a hero nearing the end of his days.

Yang Xiao felt a sinking feeling in his heart and thought he had gone a bit too far in his words, having touched the Great Chief’s inner pain, so he said:

”Grandpa, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that about you.”

The Great Chief shook his head,

”What you said is correct, I indeed do not have the ability to protect my own people, and it’s understandable that they do not respect me, so what do you plan to do now?”

”Of course, we’re going back to find that cave. We’ve already come this far, we can’t just return empty-handed, right? Hehe!”

”Alright, I’ll go with you once more, but this time, we can only covertly track them.”

Yang Xiao killed a wild beast in the valley, roasted its meat to eat a portion with the Great Chief, and stored the large remaining part in the Space Ring, preparing for several days’ worth of food.

The two of them flew into the air, memorized the geographic location of the valley where the warship was hidden in their hearts, and then practiced the Floating Flight Technique, flying along the forest canopy.

When they were a few kilometers away from Ah Chuan’s valley, the two sneaked into the forest and slowly approached the valley, laying in ambush in the nearby forest.

The two continuously hid and tracked for two days and two nights, Ah Chuan and his people, apart from hunting wild beasts in the nearby forest, did not go to the so-called tranquil cave.

”Strange, why haven’t Ah Chuan and the others made a move, could we have misunderstood?”

The Great Chief murmured, casually rubbing his aching old back.

During these two days of covert tracking, sometimes they got too close and to avoid being detected, they had to lie still in the bushes, not daring to move, sometimes for an hour or two at a stretch.

”No, they’re probably just being cautious, let’s wait a bit longer.”

”Sigh, by the time we find the cave, my old back will be done for. When I’m gone, you must take care of Ah Rui and the descendants of the Wildman Valley!”

”Don’t worry, once we get back, you can hang out with your old cronies for a few days and nights, get some movement in your waist, and any ailment will be fixed.”

”You little brat, show some respect to your elders.”

”Shh, be quiet, it looks like they’re on the move.”

The two lay in the forest, watching as Ah Chuan, the Flying Wolf, and a dozen key members of the tribe walked out of the valley in a group.

”Great Chief, I reckon the Great Chief of the wildmen won’t be coming back, right?”

”Sigh, it’s still best to be cautious, I think that youngster with the last name Yang by his side is very crafty, not of our kind, and surely of a different heart, I don’t trust him.”

”So, are we going to the cave today?”

”Mhm, it’s the third day already, I reckon the Great Chief of the wildmen has long gone back home, let’s go, let’s thoroughly explore the secrets in the cave today, sigh, with all the turmoil during this period, it’s been a while since we have visited the cave.”

They were all talking and laughing, seeming very excited.

After leaving the valley, Ah Chuan and the others immediately practiced the Floating Flight Technique and flew off into the distance.

Yang Xiao and the Great Chief ran through the forest from afar.

Thankfully, Yang Xiao had already broken through to the Empire Level, and combined with his innate Ancient Martial Light Skill, he was able to move with extreme speed and could fully keep up with the pace of Ah Chuan and the others.

Needless to say, the Great Chief as well.

After running for about half an hour, covering dozens of kilometers and crossing several mountain peaks, Ah Chuan and his party finally descended slowly towards a valley in the distance.

Yang Xiao, standing in the forests atop Gao Shan, looked down into the valley to see white mist winding through the mountains like a river, undulating and rolling.

On the peak of the mountain opposite, there was a huge swastika structure with an empty middle through which a ray of sunlight shone, illuminating a spot on the misty slope of the valley.

Ah Chuan and his group landed exactly where the sunlight hit and immediately disappeared in that spot.

Yang Xiao was startled and couldn’t help but exclaim:

”Sunrise in the east, by the water’s side!”
