Super Gene Hunting Ground

Long Yue summoned another thousand elite soldiers from Witch Star to prepare for the attack on three Primitive Forest settlements within the Pegasus City jurisdiction.

Each Primitive Forest covered hundreds of thousands of square kilometers. If they could seize these three areas, it would significantly increase the Crystal Ore resources.

Jino was the Supreme Commander of the Great Dragon Empire on Purple Origin Star. To attack the Wildman tribes, Long Yue had to consult with him.

”Lord Jino, I have gathered another thousand elites from Witch Star. Coupled with the original thousand elite guards, I am confident that we have the capability to attack the Wildman tribes within the Pegasus City jurisdiction.”

”Lord Long, attacking the Wildman tribes is not a simple matter. The Wildmen are currently coexisting peacefully with us; why go looking for trouble?”

”Coexisting peacefully? In my jurisdiction, Demon Beasts frequently attack my mining bases, and the Wildmen audaciously extort me. Without giving them Crystal Stones, they kill my Miners and destroy my mines. I’ve been unable to tolerate these Wildmen for a long time, eliminating them will solve all problems.”

”Ah, isn’t it just a matter of giving them a few Crystal Stones every month? Give it to them. Once a war breaks out, even if you defeat the Wildmen, there will be costs.

Pegasus City has only just been captured, with the Snow Leopard Empire eyeing us like a tiger watching its prey. Think carefully.”

”Lord Jino, are you lacking courage now? A forest of Wildmen barely numbers four or five thousand—how can they be a match for my elite troops?

Rest assured, I don’t need your support. I only need to use the forces from Pegasus City, and we can easily eradicate the Wildman tribes and seize the Primitive Forest.

In doing this, I am also taking the Great Dragon Empire’s worries into consideration. Currently, the Empire is in dire need of Crystal Stone resources due to the battle with the Snow Leopard Empire. Securing one more territory naturally means more resource reserves.

If we don’t act now, it will be too late once the Snow Leopard Empire or the Youming Empire makes their move.”

After speaking, Long Yue laughed heartily, and then continued:

”Lord Jino isn’t worried that I’ll seize the Primitive Forest from the Wildmen and steal your thunder, right? Haha...”

”Haha... Since Lord Long Yue is so confident and courageous, go ahead then, but let me say this first—I can’t send troops from Jino City to aid you. I need to keep our forces ready to face people from the Snow Leopard Empire. We must not let a campaign against the Wildman tribes become an opportunity for the Snow Leopard Empire to take advantage of.”

”Fine, as long as you agree. When I have taken down the Wildman tribes’ Primitive Forest and report to the Eldest Prince, I will also acknowledge your contributions.”

”Hehe, then I thank you in advance.”

...

Long Yue returned to Pegasus City and immediately organized two thousand elite guards, and called for a thousand experts from various bases, totaling three thousand men. Accompanied by ten warships, they carried out a massive sweep of one Primitive Forest.

The Wildmen living in the Primitive Forest hastily fought back, but vastly outnumbered, they suffered heavy casualties and retreated again and again.

Within just ten days, with minimal casualties, Long Yue captured one Primitive Forest.

After half a month of repairs, Long Yue reorganized the troops and launched a sweep on the second Primitive Forest.

The defeated Wildmen fled in all directions, with a small portion running to Wildman Valley, where Yang Xiao was, and sought refuge with the Wildman King.

The Wildman King summoned Yang Xiao immediately to discuss countermeasures.

”Yang Xiao, Long Yue is now relying on his military strength to sweep through Wildman tribes, what do you think, should we lend a hand?”

Yang Xiao briefly inquired about the situation from the Wildmen who had escaped, pondered for a moment, and said:

”Long Yue currently has a strong military force. We are no match for him. A direct confrontation is definitely not an option. We have finally achieved a stable living environment and must not destroy it.”

”But, to just watch as my compatriots are killed by the people from Witch Star? I... I feel terrible inside.”

The Wildman King was once the leader of all Wildmen but was gradually scattered from the other tribes due to segmentation and expulsion by the people from Witch Star.

Yang Xiao sighed and said:

”If we want to help, we can move all the Wildmen from the three forests to our Wildman Valley. We have room for a hundred thousand people here with no problem, it’s just that,”

”Just what?”

The Wildman King looked at Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao replied with a bitter smile:

”Grandpa, do you still have much influence amongst the Wildmen now? Will that group of Wildmen still listen to you?”

The Wildman King was full of confidence, with his chest thumping powerfully.

”Kid, I’m not bragging, but in my day, I was the leader of all the Wildmen, known as the Wildman King. As long as I appear and give an order, who would dare not to listen to me?”

”Alright, since you feel the old blade hasn’t dulled, I can try my best to help your descendants and offspring,

but let me make this clear upfront, Wildman Valley wasn’t easily established, and we finally have the situation we have today, it absolutely can’t be destroyed by them,

if any of the new Wildmen don’t follow orders, or even cause trouble, I won’t show mercy; those who should be killed will be killed, and those who should be punished will be punished.”

The King of Wildmen was stunned,

”Is it really that serious?”

”Just in case. If you disagree, then I can’t accept your descendants coming to Wildman Valley.”

”Alright then, I’ll follow your suggestion. I don’t believe they would dare not to listen to me?”

”Okay, Wildman Valley now has five Spaceships. You personally take people over, bring the Wildmen here, and I will organize things in Wildman Valley to prepare for receiving these refugees.”

The King of Wildmen immediately set off, with the guidance of several fleeing Wildmen, he transferred the Wildmen to Wildman Valley one by one from several valleys.

....

Yang Xiao transferred six hundred guards from the mine, and relocated five hundred to Wildman Valley.

Then he made emergency arrangements with the people inside Wildman Valley, setting up temporary shelter points.

”Qing Mu, Ah Bao, I want to make things clear to you now, the Great Chief is going to receive those Wildmen who have been driven out by Long Yue’s defeat, once these people arrive at Wildman Valley, it will inevitably cause some chaos, so, you must maintain public order twenty-four hours,

if there are any troublemakers, do not be lenient, kill if necessary!”

Qing Mu and Ah Bao were stunned, looking at Yang Xiao.

”Boss, if you’re so worried, why bother bringing those Wildmen here at all? We belong to different tribes, and haven’t lived together for decades, there’s bound to be estrangement, and conflicts can arise.”

Yang Xiao sighed,

”I don’t want to stir up this trouble either, but you think about it, if Long Yue was able to defeat the Wildman Forests under the jurisdiction of Pegasus City one by one today, couldn’t he come to sweep us out another day?”

”Huh?”

The two looked at Yang Xiao in surprise.

”Haven’t we already submitted to the Great Dragon Empire?”

”What of it? If the enemy is strong and we are weak, isn’t it up to them to decide whether or not to attack us? Do we even have a say in it?

Even if Long Yue doesn’t attack us, who’s to say the Snow Leopard Empire, or the Youming Empire won’t?

What if one day the Jino City Lord leaves Purple Origin Star and returns to Witch Star, and the new City Lord doesn’t recognize the previous agreements, what can we do then?

It is quite possible that Long Yue could replace the Jino City Lord, and if he succeeds, with his stance on sweeping out Wildmen today, he will certainly sweep us out.”

Qing Mu and Ah Bao stood there stunned, nodding their heads in sadness and helplessness.

”The only one who can save us is ourselves, if our strength is enough, strong enough that the opponent dares not attack us, even fears us attacking them, only then will we be safe.”

”Yang Xiao, I understand your meaning, you want to gather all the other Wildman tribes to form a strong team to fight against them, right?”

Ah Bao said, suddenly realizing.

Having been around Yang Xiao a lot, Ah Bao had also learned quite a few things.

Yang Xiao chuckled, patted Ah Bao’s sturdy chest,

”Not bad, Ah Bao, you’ve improved!”

Ah Bao scratched his head, and said with a naive smile:

”It’s all from learning with you.”

”The Great Chief cares about the kinship with his people, and takes in these Wildmen, I have no objections to this, I also want to take this opportunity to first bring together Wildmen from these three tribes, to integrate with each other, if we can succeed, our overall strength will increase several times, by then, it won’t be just a few thousand of Long Yue’s men who dare to attack us.”
