Super Gene Hunting Ground

The Ape King slept until midnight before waking up, feeling incredibly energetic and virile, and immediately got affectionate with several female apes.

Early in the morning, the Ape King found Black Jinkang, patted him on the shoulder excitedly, and said:

”Black Jinkang, my good brother, how can I ever thank you?”

”Cough, well, in my heart, boss, you’re always number one. I’m willing to do anything for you. By the way, boss, have you broken through your genetic evolution bottleneck?”

The Ape King paused for a moment, checked his body, and chuckled:

”No changes for now, but it’s alright, I’m pretty good as it is, haha....”

...

Black Jinkang told Yang Xiao about what happened yesterday, and Yang Xiao was astonished.

Shit, how did the effects of the medicine change?

Something must be wrong.

Yang Xiao then asked the chimpanzee for some detailed information, staying silent and thinking about where the problem could be.

Was it the raw materials themselves, the method of preparing the elixir, or an issue with the recipe?

Looking at Yang Xiao, the chimpanzee said:

”Boss, do you have any more of that medicine? Give me one too?”

”Hehe, if you want, I can make one for you, but the effect of this elixir was totally unexpected. Eh, don’t rush; I’ll go back and prepare a few more and test their effects.”

Upon returning to Wildman Valley, Yang Xiao once again scrutinized the ingredients of the recipe, then went to see the Wildman King and reported the unexpected effects of the elixir.

The Wildman King, excited, looked at Yang Xiao,

”Really?”

”Grandpa, you wouldn’t want to end up like the apes, would you?”

The Wildman King blushed slightly and said:

”How could that be, I’m a civilized man... but is that elixir really that powerful?”

Yang Xiao: ”@#￥%”

”Grandpa, what do you think went wrong?”

”Ah, strictly speaking, we’re not adept at alchemy. We have no clue how that Wildman predecessor prepared his elixirs. You see, temperature variation, duration – they all can alter the effect of the medicine.

For instance, if you overcook the elixir, some medicinal properties might disappear, or if it isn’t cooked long enough, the potential of the medicine won’t be realized.

And, how are the raw materials prioritized and added to the medicine cauldron? All these affect the final result of the elixir.”

Yang Xiao nodded.

”It seems this approach is a dead-end for now, as perfecting alchemy might require hundreds or even thousands of experiments to occasionally find the right method.”

”Hmm, you’re right, but your alchemy attempt wasn’t totally ineffective; you did create a special medicine. Why don’t you try the last method again, make another batch, and test it on a different animal? If it yields the same result, then you might have created a unique elixir, hehe, not valueless.”

Yang Xiao: ”...”

I really want to say, damn it, typical Wildcats, still not over simplistic pleasures!

However, Yang Xiao was also curious whether he could replicate the same effect with another batch of elixir.

Thus, he prepared another batch of the same elixir, this time using double the materials, hoping to make two additional pills.

After ten days of preparation, he finally made two pills identical to the previous ones.

Looking at the two elixir pills in his hand, an idea struck him, and he divided one pill into two, thus obtaining four pills, half the quantity of the previous batch.

Yang Xiao casually captured a low-level male wolf in the forest and forcibly fed it the elixir.

This male wolf’s genetic evolution level wasn’t even King Level, so it was completely at Yang Xiao’s mercy.

The male wolf soon fainted after swallowing the pill.

Then, a terrifying thing happened—as the wolf’s body began to expand incessantly.

Watching this exaggerated scene, Yang Xiao suddenly had a bad feeling, then heard a loud ”bang” as the wolf’s genitalia swelled and exploded.

”Shit!”

Yang Xiao cried out, feeling as if his own genitals had exploded.

How could this happen?

After thinking for a moment, Yang Xiao slapped his forehead, understanding.

The pill given to the Ape King last time, although only twice the quantity, was for a body dozens of times larger than this wolf,

and the Ape King’s genetic evolution level was already at the Emperor Level, whereas this wolf wasn’t even at the King Level, which is why the wolf exploded.

That said, the pill indeed is a peculiar medicine, but its effects depend on the user’s evolution level and body size.

”Yes, that’s right, it’s just like when I used to take meds for a cold; if it was given_NSFW to an infant or child, the dosage compared to an adult’s would be much less.”

Yang Xiao shared this discovery with the Wildman King.

The Wildman King immediately caught a several-hundred-kilogram wild boar for testing, giving it just a small amount of the pill.

Miraculously, the wild boar became vigorous and spirited.

The Wildman King reached out to Yang Xiao.

”Hm? What?”

”Weren’t you saying there are four? Give another one to me; I’ll try it on other wild animals.”

”Oh.”

Yang Xiao handed a pill to the Wildman King, who excitedly ran off with it.

Yang Xiao hesitated, shouting:

”Hey, Grandpa, you’re not going to use it on yourself, right? Be careful, you’re old, be careful it doesn’t explode!”

The Wildman King had already disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Yang Xiao could only deeply say,

Damn it! All that work for such a bizarre perk?
