Chapter 1627: Chapter 562: All Fall One After Another (Part 3)

”Qu Qi, you say...” Bo He, half-squatting, seemed to be talking to herself.

But at this moment, Qu Qi’s head, which had been lying down, suddenly lifted up, and its half-squinted eyes suddenly widened to look at the distant sky.

This sudden action naturally interrupted what Bo He was about to say.

”Woof! Woof!!” Qu Qi’s previously lazy expression had already turned into one of extreme vigilance, barking loudly.

Startled, Bo He immediately looked in the direction Qu Qi was staring, the next second, her beautiful eyes widened, and her small mouth involuntarily opened wide.

She saw atop the spire of the towering Cologne Cathedral in the distance, a large mass of black mist continuously emerging. If it were merely black mist, it might not be so strange, but this mist was like a living thing, constantly surging.

Even from quite a distance, Bo He could vaguely see sharp claws and a ferocious mouth occasionally appearing within the black mist...

It was as if some terrifying creature wrapped within the mist was about to break free!

Just by staring, an intense sense of fear surged from the depths of Bo He’s heart!

”Sister Lagaray!”

”Sister Cleya!” Bo He couldn’t help but shiver, shouting loudly.

With a ’whoosh’, the graceful Cleya dashed out of the villa, and soon, another tall and agile figure appeared beside Bo He, it was Lagaray.

As soon as they appeared, both women’s gazes followed Bo He’s line of sight, and in the next instant, their expressions turned extremely grave.

Though their strength wasn’t the top of the Empire, both had reached the Quasi-Legendary Peak.

Nevertheless, the moment they set eyes on the black mist, a strong sense of terror welled up from within both of them.

At this time, Griffin Knights continuously flew towards the black mist, but before they could fully approach, they were ensnared mid-air by tendrils of the creeping black mist.

Even the Imperial Griffins underneath them were tightly restrained, crying out in pain.

No matter how the Griffin Knights struggled, the sinuous black mist was like ever-changing steel, impossible to break free from.

Only after a few seconds, these Imperial Griffin Knights suddenly convulsed as if electrocuted, then astonishingly regained their ability to move.

But to the horror of those present, they turned and began attacking the incoming Griffin Knights...

”Controlled?”

The two women immediately exchanged glances, seeing the shock reflected in each other’s eyes!

”Cleya... the feeling this black mist gives me... it’s no less than the time we witnessed the descent of the Divine Incarnation... even... the pressure is stronger!”

The barbarian girl, having broken through in the most primal way, possessed a natural sense for danger.

At this moment, her pretty face was pale, her smooth forehead already beaded with fine sweat, clearly sensing immense danger.

”Yes, Lagaray, let’s organize an evacuation immediately!” After a brief consideration, Cleya spoke decisively.

She had a feeling that the Imperial City might not withstand this threat, as the black mist’s terror seemed even greater than that of the Divine.

Fortunately, since the last great battle in the Imperial City, Rein had discussed with her how to swiftly evacuate in case of an emergency.

”Roar!!!”

Suddenly, a resounding dragon roar echoed in the sky!

The Imperial Dragon Knights, who had always avoided appearing directly to the common people, were now unabashedly present above the Imperial City.

One...

Two...

...

Eight...

Their numbers continued to grow!

Now, there was no need for notifications or alarms to convey anything, as the entire Imperial City Tamriel boiled over like boiling water, filled with panicking citizens, nobles urgently ordering coachmen to hurry their carriages to escape...

The city was filled with screams, cries, and angry shouts of men, women, and children of various ages and statuses.

...

In mid-air.

”No! It’s a Fiend Demon!”

”The ancient Fiend Demon has escaped the suppression of the Goddess Church!”

”But... how is that possible!” The oldest and also the strongest among the Imperial Guardians, Walkmas, exclaimed.

”What! Fiend Demon?”

Many of the Imperial Guardians who had heard this name turned pale!
