Chapter 1610: Chapter 556: Fiery Flame Storm_3

...

Immediately, the group arrived above Ressero Canyon, where they saw a fierce giant beast glimmering with metallic sheen under the sun in the distance, followed closely by several armed airships of the Empire.

”It’s that guy Dorick. (Dragon Language)” Black Dragon Metheus murmured softly.

”Yes, indeed.” Rein nodded with a smile.

From the first glance, Rein had recognized the identity of the other—Steel Dragon Dorick.

”Lord Terrio, you can lift the alert; it’s a friend of Metheus.” Rein smiled and patted the broad back of the Black Dragon, speaking to Sword Saint Terrio beside him.

To avoid exposing his ability to contract with two Giant Dragons, Rein defined Steel Dragon Dorick as a friend of Black Dragon Metheus.

Although it was equally sensational, at least it made sense.

His master’s words made Black Dragon Metheus secretly disgruntled, ’Who is that arrogant Steel Dragon’s friend!’ However, he could only keep this thought to himself.

”Your Giant Dragon companion’s friend?” Terrio couldn’t help but be surprised, looking incredulously at Rein’s Black Dragon Metheus from under him, feeling a bit taken aback.

He had never heard that the relationship between Giant Dragons and Dragon Knights had reached such heights, where a Dragon would invite friends to assist?

Rein’s words similarly surprised those around him, including Haleem!

What?

As long-time rivals, the Federation clearly understood the relationship between the Dragon Knights of the Dragan Empire and the Giant Dragons.

The relationship between the two was more like a cooperative contract and did not exist in a manner where Dragon Knights took precedence. Dragons are too proud to truly recognize a human master.

However, the unique Dragon Bloodline of the Royal Family greatly reduced the resistance of Five-Colored Dragons, and a lasting alliance was achieved during the era of Emperor Atlas.

Even so, they had never heard of such a situation before, where a Dragon invites friends to assist.

”Steel Dragon Dorick prefers metals, so Metheus was able to invite it over.”

”Of course, it won’t take anything from this exploration of the Floating City ruins, except for devouring some rare metals.” Rein explained with a smile.

”I see, we certainly welcome it.”

Sword Saint Terrio, as the representative of the Federation side, naturally welcomed such a powerful dragon to join.

A rare Steel Dragon of strength comparable to Black Dragon Metheus, nearly equivalent to several Federation strongmen.

And Haleem and the others beside him also immediately showed a sudden realization.

That makes sense. Steel Dragons love metals, and in the Floating City, a variety of metal constructs abound, no wonder it could be invited, that’s the reason.

”Attendant, quickly arrange to expand the cave door, um... at least make it easy for the two Lord Dragons to enter!” Sword Saint Terrio immediately ordered.

”Yes, sir!” A Federation colonel saluted promptly.

...

Meanwhile, in the distance, the Zok brothers, upon hearing the message, were left in awe.

”What? This... this giant beast was invited by the Empire representative, Lord Rein?”

”It was invited by Rein’s Giant Dragon partner, Black Dragon Metheus. The other party is named Steel Dragon Dorick.” Haleem solemnly corrected Ogre Zok’s wording mistake.

But at this moment, Ogre was already unconcerned with Haleem’s attitude and murmured:

”It’s a rare Dragon at the Extremely Old Dragon Level—Steel Dragon, no wonder we were no match earlier.”

”Incredible...” Otto Zok also showed a stunned expression, whispering.

However, it immediately made him realize.

Why this Steel Dragon had held back earlier, now it made sense.

”Inform the airship fleet to end the alert and return to the fixed patrol route.” Recovering from the shock, Ogre immediately ordered.

”Yes, sir.”

”Let’s go, Otto, we should pay a visit to Lord Rein.” Ogre said to his brother, his tone full of sighs, no longer showing any arrogance they had previously.
