Chapter 1436: Chapter 491: Six Forms_3

”What?” The admiral was obviously taken aback!

The next second, he hurriedly ran to the lookout, grabbed the brass monocular, and looked through it.

Sure enough, a corpse as big as a hill lay sprawled in the clearing of the forest below.

With two giant dragons and a group of strong individuals from the Empire and Federation surrounding it, they seemed to be conversing about something.

”This fire dragon killed and devoured a pure-blooded red dragon when it was young, so we judged its power to be at least in the epic late stage, and now it’s dead....”

The admiral murmured to himself, apparently finding it hard to believe.

Vice Speaker Bertrand was still simmering with anger, but upon turning his head and seeing Trena beside him, he felt considerably better.

”Although the airship fleet suffered heavy losses this time, it did manage to force out a significant secret of the Empire Delegation. This Rein, his identity is extraordinary!” He thought to himself.

After contemplating, Bertrand said to the beautiful female parliamentarian beside him:

”Parliamentarian Trena, the importance of this young Rein must be re-evaluated; his identity may be quite unusual. So, some matters... you know...”

”Ah? This... alright, I’ll do my best.”

Trena naturally understood Bertrand’s words.

But the issue was, did she really have to actively try to allure someone who was slightly younger than her daughter?

Thinking about this issue made Trena’s pretty face blush uncontrollably.

At this moment, Trena also recalled the words Rein said earlier: ’His identity is not suitable to become the Guardian Knight of the Heidelberg Duchy.’

”Could it be that Lord Rein truly carries the Imperial Royal Family’s Dragon Bloodline?”

”No wonder Lord Rein disagreed to become the duchy’s Guardian Knight at that time.”

”Yet he agreed to become my Guardian Knight.”

Thinking of this, Trena’s heart couldn’t help but flutter.

...

Several minutes later.

Sword Saint Terrio on the ground received a transmission from the airship; after listening, he turned his strange gaze to Menia and said:

”Prince Menia, it’s exactly as you said...”

”This ancient fire dragon is named ’Anguskin’, active in the New Continent thousands of years ago. According to ancient records, it once defeated and devoured a red dragon, then disappeared without a trace.”

”Indeed so.” Menia was not surprised at all but rather nodded calmly.

Rein, however, looked at Menia with great astonishment, thinking to himself:

”It seems the Imperial Royal Family’s understanding of the Dragon Bloodline is far deeper than I imagined.”

”The previous reminder from Menia about myself must be quite significant.”

”But when I searched related ancient records, there seemed to be no mentions of two-headed or multi-headed dragons.”

”I’ll have to search again thoroughly when I return...”

At this moment, Menia seemed to think of something and continued: ”However, this fire dragon waking up at this time is most likely because someone awakened it. Didn’t you send someone to investigate the volcanic crater over there?”

”There should be some clues left, such as remnants of the awakening ceremony’s Witch Array.” Menia extended her fair fingers, pointing towards the volcanic path, still spewing black smoke, several miles away.

”This... I’ll immediately send someone, no, I’ll personally go and check.” Sword Saint Terrio felt somewhat ashamed and said.

After all, the Federation had failed to fend off the ancient fire dragon ’Anguskin’, and had not even begun the subsequent investigation, which was truly too much to criticize.

To the unaware, it might even appear as if the Federation was directing and staging this entire incident!
