Chapter 1402: Chapter 476: Federation Sword Saint (Part 3)

Because now it’s no longer an issue of whether to intercept or not.

If we continue to intercept, both Rebecca and Benito will also be severely injured.

At that time, the Federation’s reputation would be utterly lost.

Even if Lord Terrio Paulo arrives, it wouldn’t be possible to withstand the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon and the Sea God Sect without the assistance of the three Ajax magic statues.

”Retreat ten miles!”

”Rear airships, commence cannon attack!” Urgent orders were issued one after another.

As the Ajax magic statues retreated, the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon and the sea beast swarm controlled by the Sea God Sect unexpectedly did not attack Obedin but continued to move towards the direction of the Fadier Mountains.

This left everyone in the Federation a bit puzzled.

However, at this moment, someone suddenly exclaimed:

”Look, it’s Lord Terrio!”

A silver light ball was seen rapidly flying from the sky behind.

...

On the Imperial airship.

”Oh, that’s a Sword Saint!” Rein said curiously after seeing the silver light.

”Yes, I’ve traveled through the Eagle Federation before. Terrio is a famous Sword Saint of the Federation, quite formidable in combat,” Reginald explained beside him.

On the coast, the silver light ball swiftly closed in on the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon, and the two undamaged Ajax magic statues immediately collaborated to pin it down from both sides.

”Oh? A Federation Sword Saint?” The black-robed elder on the three-headed sea dragon was somewhat surprised.

He was quite certain that this operation inside the church was supposed to be secretive, with no chance of it being exposed.

If encountering the Federation’s airship fleet was a coincidence, then running into a Federation Sword Saint was just too many coincidences.

Could it be that the Federation also had some important operation nearby?

”Deep Water Domain!”

Facing the approaching Federation Sword Saint, numerous light blue water spheres suddenly materialized around the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon, each about a meter in diameter, hovering within a hundred meters radius.

”Super Divine Cross Slash!”

With a tiger-like roar, two giant sword phantoms, each several tens of meters long, formed a cross shape, and suddenly charged from hundreds of meters away in the sky!

”Bang! Bang! Bang!”

”Boom!!!”

Instantly, the giant sword phantoms collided with the countless light blue water spheres, and a violent explosion swept all around!

As the smoke and dust settled, a towering, two-meter-tall, brawny gold-haired man with a full beard, clutching a dual-handed greatsword, landed about a hundred meters in front of the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon.

It was Federation Sword Saint Terrio Paulo.

Although he had halted the advancement of the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon, his expression was unusually grave at this moment.

Originally, he intended to seize the opportunity of the surprise attack to unleash his ultimate move and secure a decisive advantage.

But now it seems that what awaits him is a tough battle.

Even his ultimate move, ’Super Divine Cross Slash,’ seemed unable to completely break through the domain of the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon; its Sword of Belief was worn away by the dense light blue water spheres after penetrating about four-fifths of the way.

However, Terrio’s strike was not without its effect; at least it made both the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon and the black-robed elder behind it take him much more seriously.

For a moment, neither side made another move.

....

Meanwhile.

On the Imperial airship.

”It’s about time, Lord Reginald, we should make our move.”

Menia first spoke to Reginald beside him.

Then, she turned to Rein and said:

”However... Rein, the plan has changed. Stay put on the airship for now.”

”I just have a hunch they might have other means.”

”Be ready to adapt as the situation unfolds.”

”Well... alright, Prince Menia.” Rein hesitated briefly before nodding in agreement.

Because he too felt something was amiss.

At this time, the Imperial airship fleet had already approached within ten kilometers behind the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon, and it was evident that the other side should have already noticed them, yet showed no intention of retreat.

This was not logical.

Could it be that they weren’t afraid of being pincered from both front and back?

He was curious to see what exactly the other side had up their sleeve.

Sensing the summon, one red and one yellow giant dragon took off from the last two airships of the Imperial fleet.

Menia and Reginald each leaped onto their respective dragon companions, swiftly flying toward the direction of the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon.

....

At this moment.

The black-robed elder on the back of the magic-tailed three-headed sea dragon shifted his gaze away from the Federation Sword Saint in front of him, looking rather astonished as he glanced at the rear sky.

”Huh? Are those two Dragon Knights of the Dragan Empire?”

He always thought the enemy was solely the Federation, but unexpectedly, there were also Imperial Dragon Knights.

The black-robed elder’s face turned grim, and after a moment’s thought, he glanced at the not-so-distant Fadier Mountains and quickly performed a gesture.

Soon, a complex pattern appeared before him, it was a Communication Witch Array.

”Activate the Awakening Ceremony immediately!” the black-robed elder commanded the Communication Witch Array.

And a response came instantly from the other end of the array.

”As you command, Vice Pope!”
