Chapter 766: Chapter 292: Defensive Power Test (Double-Length Chapter)_3

From this novice mission, Evelyn discovered that although Sword Bearers receive excellent treatment, the degree of danger is not low.

Although most tasks are evaluated, there are many times when changes occur, and if one wants to continue to complete tasks smoothly, the demands on one’s strength are almost harsh!

Take Nelio behind her for example, who performed admirably. In this novice mission, he killed a deacon of the Sea God Sect.

According to the instructor, he should receive the extra reward of three bronze mission evaluation medals.

This also means that he can directly be promoted to a Silver Sword Bearer, with a qualitative improvement in treatment and the variety of exchangeable items.

“My lord, could you please wait a moment, while I change your emblem for you?”

“Okay, thank you.”

This novice mission was successfully completed, and besides the 150 Merit Points, the most important thing was that she had gone from being a reserve Sword Bearer to becoming an official Sword Bearer, now eligible to exchange for a bronze emblem.

It signified shedding the identity of a ‘rookie’ Sword Bearer.

However, it was only just in terms of identity; she still had a loan of 1000 points from the scholarship department…

“My lord, here you are, your golden emblem.” The female clerk handed the large, shimmering gold emblem to Evelyn respectfully with both hands.

“Huh?”

Evelyn’s beautiful eyes widened, as she shook her hands emphatically, refusing, “No, no! You must have made a mistake, I’m supposed to receive a bronze emblem!”

What was the concept of a golden rank?

Those were the elite among the entire Sword Bearers Branch.

Most of the Sword Bearers who had been mingling in the branch for a year or two were mostly Silver, while the Golden ranks made up less than one-third.

Seeing Evelyn’s vehement denial, leaving no room for pretense, the female clerk looked puzzled and once again confirmed the name on the emblem, “May I ask, are you Eveline Norman from Rosby County?

“Yes, that’s me.” Evelyn nodded.

“Then there is no mistake!”

“But… but… how could it be a golden emblem?” Evelyn’s brain was still frozen, completely failing to catch up.

“Umm… The record shows you’re a formal member of the ‘Meister Siege Hammer’ team, and when Captain Reine submitted the team mission completion report, he allocated you three silver medals and two thousand Merit Points.”

“So, it’s correct! You can be promoted to a Golden level.”

“What!” Now, Evelyn was utterly stunned!

What mission had Reine completed?

And why would he allocate so much to her?

Evelyn’s mind was completely overwhelmed.

Actually, when Reine submitted the mission yesterday, the female clerk had asked him how to divide the mission evaluation medals and Merit Points. He thought about it and casually allocated some spare silver evaluation medals to Evelyn.

In Reine’s eyes, since they were all in the same team, it was a matter of lending a helping hand where it was due.

He remembered Evelyn had apparently loaned 1000 Merit Points, so he just gave her a hand.

As for the twin-tailed girl Vinica, Reine naturally gave even more. After all, their relationship was much closer; he casually allocated to her a gold evaluation medal and five thousand Merit Points.

Meanwhile, Nelio and another Sword Bearer novice waiting behind Evelyn were staring with round eyes, faces blank with shock!

They were only four or five meters away from Evelyn.

As Evelyn showed her shock, the two of them curiously started to listen intently.

When they personally heard about the allocation to Evelyn, enough for her to be promoted to Gold level, they were astounded!

Didn’t this mean Reine was at least a Gold level Sword Bearer captain!

Good heavens! This…

Soon, the news spread among the Sword Bearer novices!

…

The second floor of the training building.

In the attack power testing room, several Great Knights and expert Sword Bearers were testing in small groups.

“Captain Angus, have you heard? Lord Reine has been promoted to a Golden level Sword Bearer captain!” Viery, who had just recovered from an injury, was undergoing rehabilitation training and spoke to Angus.

“What? A Golden level?” The resolute black man with a sturdy face expressed surprise.

“Viery, how do you know this?”

“I heard it from a fellow countryman in Rock Team; he’s also from Bobiny County, named Remiel. He just advanced to the official Wizard status a few days ago. I heard about it during a dinner gathering.”

“So, captain, do you think we should ask Lord Reine for help with the vengeance for Chris and the other two?” The thought of his fallen comrades made Viery furious!

Because the five of them had once been part of the military, their combat experience was rich.

Unlike Evelyn and other novices, they were called back by the military, mainly to ensure the safety of the supply lines from Wales County to Meister.

During one escort mission, they were ambushed by the Black Flame Church of Wales County. Although they managed to evacuate the transport team, they all nearly didn’t make it back!

Chris and the other two died at the hands of the enemy’s experts. One was named ‘Bull’ Bidaels, whose Knight Armor armor was distinctive, with two sharp metallic horns on each shoulder armor.

The other’s name was unknown, but he was skilled in evil array spells, and the opening barrage of five black flame fireballs already cost them a comrade!

“The enemy is very strong, and even if Lord Reine could defeat them, he would still face significant risk.”

“Moreover, asking Lord Reine to take action, Viery, have you considered what price you might have to pay?”
