Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Countless steel creations swiftly converged toward Black Diamond Lorne, forming into steel fragments that sank into Black Diamond Lorne’s body.

”Since you don’t want to stop me, I won’t be polite either.

Let’s see who will ultimately emerge victorious.

I don’t care.

Whether it’s you, them, or whoever becomes the final winner, we don’t care.

We have lost the meaning of battle, and there is no reason to stay here any longer.

Deliver a message.

No matter who the victor is, I won’t resent them, but some followers of the Demon King won’t let things go so easily.

Now that they possess the power of the Demon King, show some of the Demon King’s strength and resolve everything in the Demon King’s way.”

Black Diamond Lorne deeply regretted, if he had made a different choice back then, if he had possessed stronger power at that time, if he hadn’t let the Hero and the Demon King engage in the final battle, would the Deceitful Emperor have survived?

As long as the Deceitful Emperor was alive, there would definitely still be hope for this war.

Now, no matter what he thought, Black Diamond Lorne didn’t have the ability to travel back in time and change the outcome, so ultimately he had to accept the result.

Exhaust all his strength, risk his life, for revenge for the fallen Deceitful Emperor?

Ammonval might do that, without the Demon King’s restraint, he might want to fight stronger opponents. The one who defeated the Demon King would be the best target. There are certainly many in the Demon Clan who think the same as Ammonval.

Dying in battle under that person’s blade might be a suitable end for Ammonval or those people.

However, the Deceitful Emperor definitely wouldn’t want to see that happen. He wanted those people to use their strength in more righteous ways.

What kind of new Demon King it would be, Black Diamond Lorne couldn’t say for sure.

There might be a possibility of someone benefiting from the confusion and becoming the new Demon King, but becoming the Demon King wasn’t Black Diamond Lorne’s goal. The urgent task at hand is to quickly ascend to the other half of Demon King City and prepare the Demon King Army there psychologically.

Having made up his mind, Black Diamond Lorne quietly flew away, wary of possible attacks from Yongfang Chunlan.

The other half of Demon King City.

Ammonval looked up to the sky.

Even without witnessing the battle on the other half of Demon King City firsthand, just from the surge of magic power, Ammonval knew the Demon King had changed.

For a moment, Ammonval was filled with emotion and wished to abandon the tasks given by the Demon King and rush to the other half of Demon King City to see the situation.

But...

Ammonval turned back to look at the open Gate of Darkness.

Only the Demon King could open this Gate of Darkness. Although he didn’t know who, for what purpose, had taken the Demon King’s power, Ammonval suspected that person would surely act against the Gate of Darkness.

All who came to this world were their fellow countrymen. The Demon King might have anticipated his own defeat long ago, so he placed him here, trying to bring their compatriots back to the Demon World as much as possible.

Gripping tightly the handle of the saber, Ammonval stomped the ground furiously, ultimately choosing to complete the task given to him by the Deceitful Emperor.

Once Black Diamond Lorne was completely out of sight, Yongfang Chunlan breathed a sigh of relief.

Finally...finally...

After hundreds of long years of waiting, Lux finally acquired the complete power of the Demon King, and finally had the opportunity to fulfill his ideals.

It was not in vain to undercover in the Village of Heroes, running around under different names.

Yongfang Chunlan didn’t celebrate too early, her purple Dragon Eyes gazed afar, towards Lux’s battle.

Slight magic fluctuations intermittently resonated from afar, and even though Lux had attained supreme power, Yang Yu and the others were extraordinary. Perhaps, as Black Diamond Lorne stated, the Demon King might be defeated again and replaced.

Yongfang Chunlan believed Lux could easily defeat the opponents before him, but deep in her heart, she was filled with unease.

Better safe than sorry.

Without much hesitation, strips of ancient script magic array unfurled from the top of her Zen Stick, forming a complex surveillance magic array above Yongfang Chunlan’s head.

With a wave of the Zen Stick, Yongfang Chunlan dispatched the surveillance magic towards Lux’s battle, to check Lux’s condition.

Watching didn’t matter much, but seeing Lux, Yongfang Chunlan’s heart instantly tightened.

Lux was pinned down by Gao Yuanyi, and from a distance, mages and priests were relentlessly launching ranged attacks, bombarding Lux.

If Lux could fight as freely as before, Yongfang Chunlan would have directly chosen to turn her attention to Lutrola Doron’s situation, helping Lutrola Doron alleviate the pressure on his shoulders, preventing others from disrupting the battle between Lux and Yang Yu, but now...

Yongfang Chunlan feared that as soon as she left, Yang Yu and the others would launch a counterattack.

A golden sphere cracked open, a black blade poked through the golden sphere, Yang Yu ”emerged from the shell.”

Glancing around, Yang Yu quickly spotted Lux entangled with Gao Yuanyi.

Bai Jin’s voice echoed in Yang Yu’s ear, seemingly whispering something secretly.

Yang Yu remained expressionless, pretending not to hear anything, and acted as if he knew nothing about Black Diamond Lorne heading towards the other half of Demon King City.

If he remembered correctly, including the skills of the Holy Sword, Lux’s recovery ability wasn’t weak.

Even if they succeeded, forcing Lux to take off the Demon King Armor, quickly defeating him wasn’t a realistic task.

Having Gao Yuanyi use another Laplace skill, the number of Laplace skills was also running low.

To win this battle, he could only gamble on this.

Yang Yu struck the Broken Cocoon Butterfly with the black tachi, with a crashing noise, Yang Yu’s Broken Cocoon Butterfly shattered into fragments scattered on the ground.

The durability of the Broken Cocoon Butterfly’s Molting was still considerable, far from the point of collapse, yet Yang Yu resolutely broke the Broken Cocoon Butterfly.

The Molting skill of the Broken Cocoon Butterfly not only allowed this shield to maintain combat power but also served as a skill capable of massively consuming one’s own blood volume.

Besides the Molting of the Broken Cocoon Butterfly, Yang Yu also used blood-consuming skills from other equipment on his body to further reduce his own blood volume.

Even though he hadn’t fully understood the skills Lux possessed, reducing his blood volume this way was extremely risky, but to get that person involved, he needed to take some risks, putting Lux in a situation he couldn’t handle alone.

A peculiar light gradually enveloped Yang Yu’s body, which was the light emitted when the Unyielding to Despair was activated.

The show is just beginning.
