Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Perhaps, in the distant past, Angels had also used similar methods to trap the enemies they fought.

After that, the other Angels would swarm forward, use the altered properties of the Holy Light to penetrate this Light Veil, and gang up on the trapped enemy.

Iyas drew her Longbow and focused her attention.

Trying to manipulate the properties of Holy Light after it had already flown out was not an easy task.

Even though Iyas had been practicing this flexible switching ever since long ago, she still couldn’t guarantee she could control the changes in the Holy Light’s properties a hundred percent.

So whenever she used this kind of Attack, Iyas was always especially focused.

Iyas had no way to see Yang Yu and the others’ Blood Volume, and no way to see through the roaring Black Flames to check on the two of them, but her intuition told her that the pressure on their shoulders was greater than ever before.

If this next move succeeded, it might ease the burden on their shoulders; if it failed...

Without noticing it, Iyas had come under Invisible pressure, but she knew how to relieve the pressure on her own shoulders.

Knowing that ”if this shot misses, you’ll have to go hungry,” yet still being able to effortlessly shoot down prey—that was what made a qualified Elf Archer.

The Holy Light Acceleration Stone at her waist responded to Iyas’s anticipation, blooming with dazzling radiance.

The bow moved, the string snapped in shock!

The shining Light Arrow cut through midair and crashed into the Light Veil.

The Light Veil surrounding Yang Yu and the others rippled; the Light Arrow Iyas shot slowly shattered upon the Light Veil, turning into countless tiny specks of light that penetrated the Holy Light curtain.

Those clusters of light that passed through were instantly suppressed by the Black Flames, like sparks gradually going out, slowly losing their glow.

But several beams of light were not devoured by the Black Flames; they were like faint rays in the Darkness, gradually gathering into a larger brilliance, illuminating the endless black.

Opening a path within the blackness, the light found Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi, who were bracing against the flames and rapidly blocking Lux’s Attacks.

Lux possessed no small number of methods to counter Holy Light; Holy Light Attacks would definitely be but a drop in the bucket.

The light that Iyas sent through the Light Veil was not actually aimed at Lux; it only pretended to be an Attack, so that Lux would keep his attention on Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi.

Lux moved freely within the Black Flames, constantly swinging the Holy Sword in his hand, hacking at Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi and piling pressure on the two of them.

Within these scorching Black Flames, the more you moved, the faster the damage stacked up.

Every step Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi took brought sharp pain from all over their bodies, a burning sting; their Blood Volume was rapidly scorched away, turning from healthy green to warning yellow after only a few movements.

If things continued as they were, by the time the Light Veil ended, Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi’s Blood Volume would be like candles in the wind.

By then, Lux would be able to use his must-kill skill to settle the outcome in one breath.

To end Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi’s lives with a must-kill, Lux was already being exceedingly generous.

Lux noticed a beam of light that had pierced the Black Flames and also sensed Iyas’s Attack; that Holy Light was like an unyielding arrow, stabbing toward him at high speed.

Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi did not just passively defend because they were surrounded by extreme heat; they also successively sensed the incoming Light Arrow.

Even though they didn’t know what kind of Attack Iyas had launched, Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi still tacitly launched an offensive against Lux together.

Lux slashed viciously toward Gao Yuanyi’s head; Yang Yu flashed in front of Gao Yuanyi, raised his Shield, and rows of red barbs crawled up onto the face of Yang Yu’s Shield.

When the Sword Blade met the barbs, Yang Yu instantly returned the damage Lux dealt right back at him!

Raising his head in the blazing flames, Yang Yu glared fiercely at Lux:

”[Taunt]!”

Lux’s body involuntarily continued to launch Attacks toward Yang Yu.

In this world, there were many Skills. Among them were quite a few overbearing forced Control Skills. The Skill [Taunt] was one of them.

For some unknown reason, the Skill [Taunt] had disappeared for a very long time in the past.

It wasn’t until the previous generation of the Goddess’ Apostle appeared that this Skill resurfaced.

By a twist of fate, Lux, as a Hero, got to know the Goddess’ Apostle of his era.

Because he got to know the Goddess’ Apostle of his era, Lux gradually became convinced that Heroes really were favored and chosen by the goddess.

The feeling of being Taunted would make Lux uncomfortable no matter when it happened.

These Skills and abilities that could arbitrarily Control other people’s souls should just sleep forever in history!

Everyone is the master of themselves; wantonly manipulating others’ consciousness is simply the greatest violation of their rights!

Lux silently made up his mind that, after he finished this battle and unified the two worlds, he would erase such abilities and Skills from this world.

As for Vorquis, whom he controlled...

He would talk about it when everything was over and the curtain finally fell.

Vorquis was already an ancient Ghost; this ability also came from the bloodline of ancient modified Humans. It would be difficult to get rid of, but as long as he could rely on those instruments, it shouldn’t be hard.

The Light Sphere from Iyas drew closer and closer to Lux, who kept a straight face, not showing any expression.

Perhaps, there was no need at all to be nervous because of this Attack from Iyas.

With a crisp ”snap”, Iyas’s Holy Light split into two and poured respectively into Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi’s bodies; a thin layer of Holy Light Blessing covered them, reducing the damage they took and slowly restoring their Life Value.

Though it wasn’t much, this did indeed give Yang Yu and the others—who couldn’t use Potions in this environment—more room for error, letting them have more confidence to tank the damage brought by these roaring flames.

When the Taunt ended, Lux thrust his blade toward Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi in front of him while muttering to himself:

”As expected, in battle you’ve got to prioritize taking out the supports.”

Gao Yuanyi and Yang Yu easily dodged the incoming Attack; the Magic Layer protecting their bodies was gradually crumbling under the scorching Black Flames, and every movement allowed the heat to invade their bodies, causing massive damage to them.

Holy Sword in hand, Lux quickly shaped Magic, and a Magic Array flickered under Yang Yu and the others’ feet.

Right under such intense Flame Magic, Lux had actually constructed another ultra-powerful Flame Control Magic—this was a piece of Magic from the Blazing Fire Clan’s Demon King.

”[Red Flame Tornado]”

Just as Lux silently uttered the Skill’s name, crimson flames rose from the Array under Yang Yu and the others’ feet, spiraling toward Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi.

If they didn’t want to be swept up by these skyward flames, Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi would have to keep moving—and the moment they moved, they would be wrapped layer upon layer by the Black Flames, draining the Blood Volume in their health bars.
