Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”Coincidentally, I think the same way.

You all have been completely enchanted by the goddess.

Everything you think about is inclined towards benefiting the goddess.

Perhaps, only by truly facing death will you realize how foolish you are.

Let me show you the real power of the Demon King and how terrifying it is.

Being the first to die under the full power of the Demon King is your blessing.”

Lux drew the Holy Sword from his waist, and the dense black magic surrounded the Holy Sword, completely dominating it.

Yang Yu and his group took out their weapons, ready for battle.

Lux took a deep breath, raised the Holy Sword high, and stabbed it fiercely into the steps beneath him.

Instantly, black and golden lights intertwined, spreading rapidly across the ground. Two forces that should originally restrain each other perfectly fused in this attack, spreading under Yang Yu and the others’ feet.

Iyas raised her hand, Holy Light surrounding her entire body, ready to dispel control at any moment.

However, the skill spreading beneath their feet showed no sign of control.

This was just pure energy outpour.

From Yang Yu and his companions’ position, numerous entwined golden and black light beams erupted. Bai Jin reacted swiftly, weaving magic while leaping down from Lotcar’s back.

The tip of an old tree-like magic wand touched the ground, and in an instant, an invisible transparent Magic Shield enveloped everyone.

The entwined light beams bombarded the Magic Shield, stirring up black and golden light spots, causing continuous violent explosions.

Even sitting inside the shield, everyone could feel the breath of destruction coming from outside.

Countless rays penetrated the deceit fog that filled the center of the Demon King City, illuminating the entire sky, turning the surroundings instantly white.

Li Yan and Tico simultaneously looked up.

As the light receded a bit, they saw numerous enormous square shards flying into the sky.

The magic Lux had just used completely dismantled the platform beneath his feet, breaking it into neat cubes and tossing them into the air.

Lux appeared in the light as he stood calmly on the ground, lightly waving the Holy Sword, a crescent-shaped purple slash traversed the sky, striking towards Bai Jin’s shield.

The purple slash, like a heavy hammer, effortlessly shattered the barrier Bai Jin had painstakingly constructed.

Gigantic floating stone blocks, like meteors, continuously descended from the sky, looming over Yang Yu and the others.

Yang Yu exchanged rapid glances with Gao Yuanyi, who nodded repeatedly.

Facing opponents of this level requires close combat with sustained pressure to prevent them from unleashing skills without restraint.

Lux had fused with the power of the Demon King, transforming all attributes into question marks. Yang Yu and the others couldn’t estimate Lux’s current strength, but they couldn’t retreat because of this.

Even though Lux had combined with the Demon King’s power and inherited the previous Demon King’s experience, he likely couldn’t master the Demon King’s power quickly and perfectly.

Perhaps, this is the final chance.

If they run away this time, giving Lux ample time to practice, it might be impossible to defeat Lux head-on again.

”He Meng, Lotcar.

The task of guarding the rear is entrusted to you.

If something goes wrong, I trust you will make the right decisions.

Clear the falling stone blocks for me first!”

Before Yang Yu finished speaking, he and Gao Yuanyi leaped from Lotcar’s back, jumping towards the nearest falling block.

Activating [Climbing], Yang Yu swiftly maneuvered on the descending cubes, repeatedly jumping left and right, charging towards Lux.

Flames erupted from the prosthetic limbs beneath his feet, with Gao Yuanyi closely following Yang Yu.

In just a moment, Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi reached Lux’s front.

The sword blade swirled with black shadows, the massive mechanical arms roared, Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi crossed each other’s paths, launching a fierce attack on Lux.

Lux remained expressionless, not showing any flusteredness, taking a small step forward.

At the moment Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi’s attacks were about to hit, Lux’s figure suddenly vanished completely before Yang Yu and the others.

Gao Yuanyi’s punch crushed the ground, Yang Yu’s sword blade drew a beautiful arc in the air.

The massive cube landed beside them, raising dense dust.

”Snap,” a silent snap echoed amidst the sound of cube landing.

The immense cube that landed next to Yang Yu and the others quickly closed inward like a clam shell, attempting to crush Yang Yu and Gao Yuanyi into mincemeat.

Increasing the flame injector’s power, Gao Yuanyi flew up, soaring above the massive cube, with Yang Yu closely following. Utilizing speed, he barely climbed atop the cube before two cubes closed together.

Looking afar, Lotcar led the others to escape from the crushing cubes.

However, perhaps due to being too clumsy, or failing to react immediately, Lotcar was slightly slower, its tail fur getting caught.

Qiuye unhesitatingly drew out the new sword Yang Yu had given her on the journey, helping Lotcar, cutting off half of the tail.

Quickly scanning the landed cubes, Yang Yu and his comrades swiftly searched for Lux’s figure.

In the next second, two barely noticeable golden threads swiftly traversed the sky, rushing towards Yang Yu and Lotcar.

Lotcar lowered its head to dodge, but the barely noticeable golden thread cut off quite a bit of its mane.

Yang Yu narrowly avoided losing an ear; thankfully, he responded swiftly, evading quickly, resulting in the golden thread only leaving a shallow wound on his cheek.

The attack launched by Lux was more swift and decisive than before he became the Demon King.

Since it’s impossible for Yang Yu and the others to become his comrades now, Lux felt no need to hold back.

Before one attack ceased, the next had already been prepared.

Lux’s figure appeared on the massive cube beside Lotcar.

While the magicians failed to react, Lux mercilessly swung the Holy Sword, slashing towards Iyas’s head.

Lux had already attached powerful Shattering Shield Magic to this attack.

Even if Iyas reacted swiftly and opened a shield, she wouldn’t be able to block this attack.

Unexpectedly, a light blue sphere leaped high from Lotcar’s back, fearlessly standing in front of Iyas, blocking Lux’s attack for her.

Lux could see everyone’s attributes here.

He could see his powerful strike directly knocking off almost a quarter of He Meng’s blood volume.

This slime demon that had grown to such a degree was quite tricky; it was indeed a great demon partner to jump out and block a sword without hesitation.

However...

Nothing can stop me.

Lux increased the strength forward, hitting He Meng with a sword.
