Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Wind Wing Hapi, as the name suggests, is a birdman race adept at wind manipulation.

Within the Hapi Clan, there are numerous factions, each specializing in a direction, and only by ensuring pure bloodlines will their specialization remain unchanged.

Like many races, the Hapi Clan does not particularly favor Hapis born as mixed species.

Zhimu is not a purebred Wind Winged Hapi; her Hurricane Power is inferior to the true Wind Wing Hapi Clan.

Due to this, she faced discrimination within the family and had an unhappy childhood.

To make others see her differently and to prove herself, Zhimu sought learning all over.

When Luo Luosi’s S-Class adventure group was still active, Zhimu approached them too.

Unfortunately, heaven did not favor her, and no matter how hard Zhimu tried without talent, she could never match the true Wind Wing Hapi Clan.

Zhimu and Luo Luosi can be considered old acquaintances.

But upon meeting this old acquaintance, Zhimu wasn’t happy at all,

”As a member of an S-Class adventure group, you should be very clear about what exactly you are facing. You shouldn’t have come here, nor should you have followed them into this battle.

If you surrender now, considering our acquaintance, I might consider sparing your life.”

”Well, that’s indeed very kind. However, Zhimu... just like I once told you, sometimes people have to take some risks for certain things. Before taking risks, one should thoroughly consider whether what they’re doing is right.”

”Are you trying to educate me? Why don’t you help me educate those who discriminated against me in the past!

In this world, only possessing overwhelming strength ensures respect.

No matter how good your words sound or how right your actions are, without strength, they are never significant.

This is something I’ve realized after years.

Thus, I chose to be loyal to that lord.

My ability to climb to this position is entirely due to that lord’s grace.

What’s wrong with fighting for him!”

Adjusting her posture, Zhimu spread her sharp claws, with a virtual golden shadow fixed upon her enormous claws, forming a dazzling suit of Armor.

Targeting the crack in the warship’s Shield, Zhimu dove down again, her sharp golden claws poking a hole in the warship’s Shield.

The Hapi Clan’s assault on the warship had just begun.

With wings generating a hurricane, Zhimu rose into the air once more, this time leading a large number of Hapi Clan troops diving down from the sky towards the warship, targeting the cracks on the Shield with sharp claws.

Jumping down from the Shell, Luo Luosi maneuvered the Shell over the warship’s Shield.

The Shell rapidly expanded, covering half of the ship in the blink of an eye.

Luo Luosi’s Shell was quite sturdy, fending off the first wave of the Hapi’s attack. However, the Hapi’s attacks were relentless, and Luo Luosi struggled to continuously control the Shell under this unending assault without sinking.

The Hapis eventually pushed Luo Luosi’s Shell down, their sharp claws once again touching the warship’s Shield, shattering it without hesitation.

Luo Luosi’s face turned stern; even if her Shell could barely protect most people on the ship, she couldn’t fully protect the warship.

Count Blood had incredibly complete defenses against the Stronghold, and if the warship fell into the water, it might suffer even fiercer attacks.

Is there really no way to prevent this?

Just as Luo Luosi was contemplating this, the warship’s Shield collapsed under the relentless assault of the Hapi Clan, shattering into fragments that fell onto the deck, dispersing into small specks of light.

One by one, Hapis, like cannonballs, crashed onto the ship’s deck, easily piercing the wooden boards.

Sawdust flew, and a few Hapis charged so fiercely that their sharp claws sank into the deck, momentarily unable to pull their feet out.

”[Wind-breaking Style. Secret Technique. Formless]!”

Kula Doreen and Qiuye simultaneously rotated their blades ninety degrees, the speed of their draw and sheathing so fast it was unclear, and by the time you saw the blade drawn, it was already sheathed, countless fierce Sword Qi swiping across the deck.

The Hapis stuck by the deck had no way to dodge, the Invisible Sword Blade directly hit their bodies, effortlessly slicing the feathers from their wings, temporarily robbing them of the ability to fly back into the sky.

As the invisible slashes ended, Qiuye and Kula Doreen moved simultaneously, but their primary target wasn’t the Hapis struck by the Wind-breaking Style, but those that landed smoothly on the deck.

Those Hapis either used sharp claws to pierce the deck, vigorously swung their wings to pull apart wood pieces, or unleashed various skills, in various ways damaging the warship.

Qiuye and Kula Doreen swiftly traversed among the Hapis, continuously evading the sharp claws and the variety of Skills they unleashed, skillfully driving the Hapis off the ship.

Luo Hasta swung his tentacles, He Meng unleashed sticky bubbles, also doing their utmost to drive the Hapis away.

Having broken through the warship’s Barrier, Zhimu didn’t hesitate for a moment, crossing her wings mid-air, wisps of light yellow smoke escaping from the gaps between her feathers, forming a cloud that enveloped her completely.

Flapping her wings, the dense yellow fog obeyed Zhimu’s command, surging towards Luo Luosi and the others.

Wind Wing Hapi Clan can manipulate wind and has an excellent compatibility with Poison Fog.

Zhimu can manipulate airflow, effortlessly and efficiently directing the Poison Fog to desired locations, paralyzing enemies.

Even if someone wielded a weapon to dispel the Poison Fog, the fog would quickly reassemble and thoroughly engulf the person.

Detecting the swirling Poison Fog, He Meng immediately halted her attack, her form swelling several times, and beside her, Luo Hasta spread out tentacles, pulling everyone fighting around them to He Meng’s side.

Zhimu waved her wings, spreading the light yellow Poison Fog across the warship.

From a distance, it appeared like the entire ship was on fire, continuously emitting yellow smoke.

Realizing this was He Meng protecting them, Zhimu, having just released the Poison Fog, didn’t pause for a moment, leading Hapis who could act freely within the fog to launch a fierce assault on He Meng.

Under their relentless pursuit, He Meng shrank swiftly like a deflated balloon.

With wings lightly trembling, Zhimu sensed the movements of Qiuye and the others within the smoke.

Unexpectedly, not a single person was rendered immobile by the Poison Fog.

Qiuye and Kula Doreen simultaneously launched attacks towards her, both swift as lightning, executing a pincer strike from left and right.

By the time Zhimu reacted and attempted to evade, it was already too late; Qiuye and Kula Doreen’s swords had pierced into her full wings from both sides, and with force, light blue feathers scattered as all of Zhimu’s flight feathers were severed.

Originally airborne, Zhimu plummeted instantly to the floor, while Qiuye and Kula Doreen teamed up once more, launching swift slashes from both left and right.
