Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The body floats slightly, passing through the dim corridor, Count Blood slowly lies down in a black coffin.

Vampires are active at night, and Count Blood is no exception.

Staying in the shadows can avoid the risk of being burned by sunlight, but Count Blood is somewhat unaccustomed to daytime activities.

During the day, there’s nothing much to do; he usually returns to the coffin, closes his eyes, and rests well.

When the island is plunged into Dark Night, most of the world’s land just usher in the day.

Originally, considering this, Count Blood set his Stronghold here, organized manpower to build this castle, and set a Barrier to hide it.

Counting from then, it has been over four hundred years.

As a Vampire with a long lifespan, Count Blood personally participated in the last Human Demon war.

The previous Demon King was initially known for his bloodthirsty and brutal nature; he advocated for strength and wanted to establish a world where strength is paramount.

Because of their shared interests, Count Blood actively followed him.

However, after inheriting the Devil King’s Power, everything changed.

The original bloodthirsty and brutal Demon King ceased to exist, replaced by a Demon King skilled in management, always pondering something, whose temperament had softened considerably.

At that time, Count Blood believed the Demon King had just hidden his true heart; ruling and conquering are different, one must appropriately give benefits to the weak for them to maintain the rule collectively.

Count Blood was convinced that after implementing the plan to attack another world, the Demon King would reveal his true face again, building both worlds into his imagined ideal world.

Unfortunately, Count Blood never expected the Demon King’s temperament to truly change.

After invading this world, the Demon King didn’t become bloodthirsty or brutally ravage the entire world but spent a lot of effort searching for something, as if that was his mission for becoming a Demon King.

Count Blood couldn’t accept this outcome at all; losing his loyalty to the Demon King, he constantly searched for the reason behind the Demon King’s transformation, believing it was the Devil King’s Power that changed the former Demon King.

Hero Lox defeated the Count Blood’s once-beloved King, and Count Blood returned to the Demon World with the defeated remnants of the Demon King Army.

The Demon World fell back into chaos due to the Demon King’s Death, with various warlords partitioning territories.

A hundred years after the previous Demon King died, a person led his force to rise abruptly, partitioning a territory within a few short years.

He quickly attracted attention from various warlords.

The old warlords didn’t want to see a new warlord emerge to share the pie, so they decisively implemented encirclement on that person.

Faced with layers of encirclement by everyone, the young man pulled out all the stops, executing countless brilliant maneuvers worthy of textbook inclusion.

Unfortunately, the young man’s efforts were in vain against the overwhelming odds, leading to his demise.

After that, the Demon World entered a brief peace period, all the warlords remained in peace, hinting at forming their own kingdoms.

But they would never form their own kingdoms.

As long as the Devil King’s Power exists, the disputes will never cease; the Demon World needs a true King.

The Devil King’s Power doesn’t completely disappear with the previous Demon King’s Death but will, over hundreds of years, return to the Demon King Altar.

Only the one who inherits the Devil King’s Power can become the true Demon King.

The process of inheriting the Devil King’s Power is quite complex; any slight error can lead to total failure.

To ensure the complex inheritance process is foolproof, the Demon World must be thoroughly unified.

Over two hundred years after the previous Demon King’s Death, disputes arose once more, with warlords clashing relentlessly over the unification of the Demon World to seize the Devil King’s Power.

Count Blood didn’t get involved; on one hand, he felt he lacked the strength to unify the Demon World; on the other hand, Count Blood wanted to see if the Devil King’s Power could truly affect a person’s mind.

Count Blood refused all warlords attempting to recruit him.

Though he didn’t want to become Demon King himself, Count Blood remained interested in who could become Demon King, observing the entire war from start to finish.

To Count Blood’s surprise, the ultimate unifier of the Demon World wasn’t the major warlord he initially focused on but a rising new star.

That new star bore an uncanny resemblance to the previously extinguished individual, and the encirclement scene replayed itself on him.

Just as Count Blood thought tragedy would repeat itself, the new star miraculously escaped from the encirclement.

Suffering severe injuries, he vanished for a long time, and upon reappearance, he used the method of marrying the Snow Woman, gaining her support and acquiring two powerful generals.

The new star acted decisively, swiftly, unifying the Demon World within a mere decade.

Following stabilization, he obtained the Devil King’s Power from the Demon King Altar, becoming the true Demon King.

By actively surrendering with his old troops and avoiding unnecessary wars, Count Blood naturally assumed the position of the Four Heavenly Kings amid evasion.

Before the current Demon King inherited the Devil King’s Power, Count Blood observed the Demon King, comparing the subsequent inheritance behavior of the Demon King...

Unfortunately, now the Demon King is reticent at non-essential occasions, Count Blood sees he has changed but also cannot be completely sure.

The only certainty is, like the previous Demon King, the current Demon King seemingly carries some inherited will, highly likely searching for something.

At that moment, Count Blood prepared for the worst possible outcome, believing every generation of Demon King will be eroded by the Devil King’s Power, becoming the servant of some will.

From various material collected by Aslit, Count Blood became more convinced that if the Devil King’s Power is allowed to continue existing, the ideal world he desires will never come.

Overthrowing a Demon King controlled by the Devil King’s Power is just the first step; completely exterminating the Devil King’s Power, preventing any new Demon King from being born, and subsequently forming the ideal world he longs for, is Count Blood’s true aspiration.

Count Blood considered many plans for proceeding.

Regardless of the plan, each is quite challenging; Count Blood ever hoped for a sage or Powerful individual to assist him.

In continuous observation, Count Blood set his eyes on Yang Yu.

Initially expecting Yang Yu to be wise enough to cooperate temporarily for the common goal of defeating the Demon King, unexpectedly Yang Yu launched an Attack against him.

The monsters guarding the castle are Count Blood’s self-confident creations; they are masters in the art of poison, Yang Yu and the others will inevitably have no escape in such a small environment, ultimately being caught.

Count Blood slightly closes his eyes, intending to take a small nap.

He believes, upon reopening his eyes again, he will surely hear news of Yang Yu and the others paying for their foolishness.
