Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Blood spewed from Benglie Ci Lin’s mouth, and with a loud crash, he fell into the Poison Fog.

Benglie Ci Lin did not die immediately, and his pupils reflected the figure of Yang Yu.

After pulling the sword from his chest, Yang Yu swung it without hesitation at the next Spiny Scale Lizard.

Seeing their leader being cut down, the Spiny Scale Lizards burst forth with unprecedented determination, charging at Yang Yu.

In the chaos, one Spiny Scale Lizard tried to push through the vast Poison Fog to reach Benglie Ci Lin and check on him.

He couldn’t believe that their leader, who had continually led them to victory and reclaimed their homeland from other races, would die so simply at the hands of Yang Yu.

But, reality is that cruel.

Life is both tenacious and fragile.

When strength overwhelms, one person can easily crush another like an ant.

Over a decade ago, Benglie Ci Lin encountered an immensely powerful being, and the gap between them was like that between an ant and an elephant.

At that time, he believed that by following this person, his race would surely see a revival, and so he endured hardships to step by step reach here.

He thought that he and his race had long undergone transformation from ants, not to dominate the world, but at least to survive in it.

Who would have thought...

The light in Benglie Ci Lin’s eyes gradually faded; we have entrusted our entire race to you, even if I perish on the battlefield, I must protect my race and ensure its continuation.

In his last moments, Benglie Ci Lin still thought of his homeland, his race... the laughter and conversations with his brother as if right before him.

The Spiny Scale Lizard that approached soon realized their leader’s heart had completely stopped.

His initial reaction was disbelief, followed by a mournful howl that echoed across the forest, but no howl could express the anger in his heart; only tearing Yang Yu to pieces could quench his fury.

He was so furious that he didn’t notice Yang Yu was already standing behind him.

Looking at this figure, Yang Yu seemed like he wanted to say something, but had nothing to say. With a swift motion, he struck down, emptying the Life Value left previously.

The duration of [Fury Blood] was limited, so Yang Yu had to seize every second to slay his enemies.

Wasting even a moment could slow his support for Bai Jin and the others by a few notches.

Having compassion for enemies isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but sometimes mercy to the enemy is the greatest cruelty to oneself.

After Benglie Ci Lin’s death, the emotion of anger spread among the Spiny Scale Lizards. None retreated, and like the one just struck down by Yang Yu, they only wanted to tear him to pieces.

In an instant, various skills flew across the forest, and all strategies and tactics were cast aside, leaving only the most primal venting.

To Yang Yu, if they had all fled, it would have been much easier.

However, it seemed that to fully resolve the matter here, it would still take some time.

He could only hope that others could hold on longer.

Time rewinds a bit.

While Yang Yu was attacking the Spiny Scale Lizards, others were engaged in a battle of wit and courage with the Enchanting Demon Team led by Aslit.

Aslit’s primary target was Iyas, the elf who could wield Holy Light.

For both the Enchanting Demons and their master, Iyas was an existence that couldn’t be ignored.

Such powerful Holy Light previously halted their attacks.

If that Holy Light was used up close on their master, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Wielding the Sword Blade, Aslit sent several black slashes into the forest, trying to reduce Iyas and others’ hiding spots.

The powerful Black Wind Blade easily sliced a tree in half, and the tree fell with a loud crash onto the beach.

Understanding Aslit’s intentions, Kula Doreen swung the blade to create a Wind Blade.

The black Wind Blade collided with the light green Wind Blade. The black Wind Blade, being stronger, shattered the light green one and struck a tree, breaking it with a resounding crash.

Dealing with such a powerful Wind Blade required Bai Jin’s potent magic, but several Enchanting Demons had infiltrated the forest, laying ambushes and launching harassing attacks in various areas.

Even if Bai Jin expanded his perception, it was impossible to detect their movements.

Due to that magic presence in the sky, Bai Jin and the others were in the open, while the Enchanting Demons were in the shadows.

If they weren’t constantly vigilant to react, they might be caught off guard by hidden Enchanting Demons, leading to total annihilation.

Therefore, Bai Jin had to be on guard.

Even though Bai Jin was on high alert, and reacted promptly when Enchanting Demon magic approached, he couldn’t completely block every spell.

Several Black Magics exploded around them; Iyas once had an arm injured, Bai Jin had wood chips embedded in his shoulder, and Qiuye had his cheek scraped.

Fortunately, there was Iyas.

No matter if they were injured, under Iyas’s Healing, they quickly recovered to health, and their injuries did not affect their defense and attack.

Not knowing how long the battle would last, Iyas, who could provide sustained support to the fight, was incredibly important.

Both sides engaged in fierce offensive and defensive warfare around Iyas.

Since Kula Doreen alone couldn’t handle Aslit’s Wind Blade, Qiuye joined in.

Two light green Wind Blades collided with Aslit’s black Wind Blade, yet Aslit’s strike was infused with Black Magic.

The Black Magic was extremely domineering; only a combination of Kula Doreen and Qiuye’s Wind Blades clashing with Aslit’s Wind Blade could counter it in mid-air. Otherwise, Aslit’s Wind Blade would strike at Bai Jin and others’ hiding places.

The area where Bai Jin and others could hide was shrinking.

The best option now was to retreat deeper into the forest, seeking better cover, but the winged Enchanting Demons could move effortlessly through the woods, with Speed surpassing theirs, and would surely attack during their hasty retreat.

Another option: quickly eliminate the Engraving Demons hidden around the forest, so Bai Jin and Iyas can free up hands to deal with Aslit.

But in the current situation, how could they easily find those Enchanting Demons who hide in the forest, only attacking unseen?

Bai Jin thought of a solution, which involved using the magic spread by the Enchanting Demons in the sky.

To prevent magic from hitting each other, the Enchanting Demons surely added a Magic Technique to capture other demons’ Characteristic Magic Power in that massive Magic Array. As long as they could intervene their own magic into the Magic Array, they could see the entire forest like the Enchanting Demons, knowing every Enchanting Demon’s action.

What’s left is a battle of skill and power.

Since earlier, Bai Jin had been silently weaving an invasive magic, only... completing this magic without anyone noticing, then casting it into the sky, required a lot of time.

In this dire situation, Bai Jin could only use Telepathy to contact everyone:

”If this continues, it will become extremely dangerous. We should retreat deeper into the forest and wait for an opportunity.”
