Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”Hurry up.”

After Yang Yu spoke, he took out bottles of mineral water from the system and distributed them to Lotcar and the others.

”You be careful too.”

While speaking, Luo Luosi used magic to weave shells around Lotcar, slicing open Yang Yu’s bottles of mineral water to hold the water inside.

Bai Jin struggled to fend off the flames, splitting them in two, forming two firewalls on either side of Yang Yu and the others.

Time is pressing; if they don’t escape to the entrance of the Ninth Floor soon, the unimaginable heat will render everyone immobile.

To leave here swiftly, they must pass through the still raging fire wall.

The shells created by Luo Luosi spun around Lotcar, releasing countless water mists to reduce the temperature on Lotcar’s body.

Iyas placed her hand on Lotcar’s back, administering healing to relieve his fatigue.

With everything ready, Lotcar crouched on the ground, gathering strength, a gust of wind converged around him, causing the flames forming the firewall to sway instantly.

With an instantaneous burst of strength, Lotcar leapt forward, Luo Luosi activated the shells, which sprayed out water, forming a water shield, protecting Lotcar, allowing him to carve out a tunnel through the thick wall of flames.

Running on the scorching ground like a hot iron plate, Lotcar dodged several falling fire raindrops, rushing towards the high wall where the Ninth Floor entrance is located.

The walls of this space were extremely smooth, and Lotcar alone couldn’t possibly climb up this high wall.

But Lotcar and the others had the Rapidly Ascending Balloons Yang Yu had previously distributed to them.

The Rapidly Ascending Balloon supposedly stabilizes on the sea surface after emerging from the water, unaffected by storms, consistently drifting in the determined direction.

Though the manufacturing principle of this tool is unknown, the Rapidly Ascending Balloon happened to be useful here.

Upon reaching the wall, Iyas had already taken out the balloon apparatus.

The Rapidly Ascending Balloon device resembled a can, with buttons on the side and multiple screens displaying information like depth, position, and time.

Luo Luosi had previously dealt with many Rapidly Ascending Balloons, using it skillfully.

”This company’s technological iterations are swift, but don’t worry; every time I venture out, even if broke, I make sure to understand it, making me a qualified guide.”

”Toggle here to adjust the target depth; this thing can even stop at a certain depth.”

”...just unsure if it’s useful in the underground maze.”

”Even if the balloon cannot ascend swiftly, as long as it’s there, it can lighten your weight, slightly making it easier to reach the entrance.”

Luo Luosi instructed Iyas on adjusting the Rapidly Ascending Balloon’s dial, and took out her emergency escape device to adjust it for Lotcar.

The Shell Clan can fly slowly by relying on their shells even without external force, prioritizing adjustments for Lotcar, letting him hand over the balloon for slow adjustment.

”I heard this Rapidly Ascending Balloon can withstand certain high temperatures; if the volcano on the floating island erupts, it can endure several impacts, facilitating position changes.”

”I haven’t heard of anyone using it to escape a volcano.”

”At this point, I truly hope it’s not false advertising.”

”Let’s go!”

After confirming the dial was set, Luo Luosi flew from Lotcar’s back on a shell, Iyas followed the operation, raising her hand, facing the can upward, pressing the balloon button, triggering a red balloon to rapidly inflate, with a rope growing from beneath to secure Iyas’s hand.

”Whoosh—” and Iyas rapidly ascended with the balloon.

Lotcar transformed back to human form, securely catching the balloon Luo Luosi tossed, then tossed his own balloon to Luo Luosi, and pressed the button to ascend like Iyas.

To prevent the balloons from bursting due to excessive heat, Luo Luosi attached a controllable shell to their balloons, continuously releasing Ice Magic to maintain the temperature.

After confirming both were safely airborne, Luo Luosi adjusted the dial and chased after them using her balloon.

The Green Fire Phoenix noticed their subtle actions, closed its mouth to stop the flames, and fiercely flapped its wings, causing a shower of fire raindrops to crash down on Iyas and the others attempting to escape.

Ignoring her fatigue, Bai Jin shot Frost Ice Arrows to intercept the approaching fire rain, altering its direction.

Luo Luosi commanded the shells to shield Iyas and Lotcar from any missed fire raindrops.

The balloon ascended rapidly; underwater, it would be faster; shortly, Iyas and Lotcar reached the Ninth Floor’s entrance.

Luo Luosi followed closely, even before reaching the entrance, a refreshing coolness greeted her, rapidly decreasing the temperature around her.

If the Tenth Floor is a giant furnace, then the Ninth Floor’s entrance is a refreshing cave in summer; such contrast is truly bizarre.

Luo Luosi muttered to herself, ”Could it be he observed this and told us to escape here...”

Pressing the switch again, Iyas and the others retracted the balloons, pausing at the Ninth Floor entrance, the Green Fire Phoenix no longer attacked them, turning to dive towards Bai Jin.

With a swift motion, Bai Jin raised her Magic Wand, weaving a Magic Shield, dodging to the right in a flash.

The blazing Green Fire Phoenix flew past her, creating a heatwave.

Inspired, Bai Jin used the heatwave to propel herself, shielded, towards Iyas and the Ninth Floor entrance they occupied.

The Green Fire Phoenix flapped its wings, transforming the flames into Sharp Fire Blades aimed at Bai Jin.

In a critical moment, Luo Luosi intervened, using shells with leftover water to attack the fire blades, covering Bai Jin’s entrance.

Upon entering the Ninth Floor’s entrance, Bai Jin was somewhat astonished by the sudden temperature drop.

”Is this a design of the maze? If attacking here, dealing with the Phoenix might be effortless; Yang Yu must’ve noticed this specialty, hence telling us to retreat here.”

As Bai Jin assumed, Yang Yu noted some flames winding around the entrance, prompting Bai Jin and the others to seek refuge here.

However, Yang Yu couldn’t leave this area to follow Bai Jin and the others to safety.

If Yang Yu’s assumption is correct, someone must stay behind.

Grabbing a bottle of mineral water, continuously pouring it overhead, Yang Yu bit into an ice pop, preparing to strategize following the Underground Maze’s strategy guidelines.
