Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Supporting himself on the ground with his sword, his right foot slid back, stabilizing his stance. A strange shadow rose behind Yang Yu, entwining his sword blade.

Twisting his waist, Yang Yu launched the [Shadow Deception] forward. The sword blade drew a black trail in the air, hitting Chongdu’s side shoulder.

A bizarre tingling sensation emanated from the scale armor, and Chongdu’s sight focused sharply. The spurs on the scales erupted with numerous magic powers.

Just as he steadied himself, the large knife in Chongdu’s hand whistled toward Yang Yu.

With nimble steps, Yang Yu deftly avoided the strike, delivering a reverse slash to Chongdu’s neck.

A copious amount of blood flowed from the wound, unnoticed by Chongdu, while the spurs on his body continuously released magic power, weaving water and strong winds behind him.

Strong winds, blood, and water intertwined, merging forward into a crimson waterspout.

Raising his hand, Chongdu launched the waterspout fiercely, heading straight for Yang Yu.

Retreating three steps, a strange light flickered across the shield, Yang Yu adjusted his position, using [Surface Coating] to reflect the waterspout back.

Swinging his large knife, Chongdu split the waterspout in two.

Chongdu’s body was covered with thin black lines, wounds that had healed yet not completely.

He could no longer recover without leaving any scars as before.

As Chongdu cleaved the waterspout, Yang Yu followed the water stream, arriving beside Chongdu, and with a sharp slash to the unhealed wounds, left a bloody mark.

The gold in his body and eyes gradually faded, and Yang Yu, knowing when to stop, dodged left and right, evading Chongdu’s chaotic slashes, retreating from Chongdu’s attack range, and ran toward the Guardian Team.

Chongdu let out a low growl, his intuition telling him that Yang Yu had entered a weakened state due to the end of his enhancement skill. This was a rare opportunity, and if he didn’t take this chance to kill Yang Yu, this task would end in complete failure.

However, just as Chongdu took a step, countless ice cones descended from the sky.

Raising his arms in defense, Chongdu hadn’t expected that countless thorns would grow at his feet, wrapping around his arms and tearing his body apart.

Countless ice cones fell with a Bam onto Chongdu, easily piercing through his proud scale armor, creating red holes.

The ice cones released by Bai Jin pierced through Chongdu, as well as the remaining Spiny Scale Lizards and Fishmen, pinning them to the ground.

Using deceleration magic to complete control, Bai Jin switched the array to the swift [Lightning Chain].

The shining lightning passed between the invading survivors, sequentially taking their lives.

Just as Bai Jin’s lightning chain ended, the dim ceiling of the Submarine suddenly flickered again, seeming about to recover.

”Iyas.”

Yang Yu shouted to Iyas, who knowingly drew the bowstring, shooting a light arrow towards where Yang Yu and the Guardian Team were.

In the sky, the light arrow continuously split, transforming into a golden rain, drizzling over Yang Yu and the nearby Guardian Team, healing their injuries and fatigue.

Yang Yu’s speed gradually slowed, as he called out to the Guard Captain, ”We’ve done all we can, I need a break. The rest is up to you guys. Remember to leave one or two alive, I have some questions, so you can provide an account.”

The Guard Captain didn’t know how to respond and ended up nodding to Yang Yu.

Looking around at the chaos, those around couldn’t believe that such a disadvantageous situation had completely reversed in just a few minutes.

The transparent ceiling’s light blue glow reappeared, and the yellow lights on their restraining bracelets turned green.

Almost everyone stopped simultaneously, except for an unfortunate one who was half a beat slow, a deep blue light pillar appeared above him, pressing him harshly against the floor, bringing him into close contact with the ground.

Emerging from the cracks in the floor that Chongdu had slapped down, He Meng peeked out, seeing all enemies fallen, quietly sighing in relief.

During the time spent tumbling down the stairs, He Meng hadn’t been idle, she was the one who sabotaged the instrument temporarily.

At the stairwell, He Meng ”consulted” with the ticket inspector cowering in the corner, about how to unlock the bracelet on her wrist.

The ticket inspector stammered and only when seeing He Meng easily corrode the stair rail did he quickly reveal how to unlock the bracelet.

However, without prior magic power registration, using characteristic magic power to unlock the bracelet through skill would take at least three to four minutes.

Three to four minutes, and the Yellow Flower would have already gone cold.

He Meng directly inquired if there were any other ways to turn off the punishment, the ticket inspector continued to stammer.

Half of He Meng’s body turned into a Slime, swallowing the ticket inspector’s arm, communicating ”amicably” with him. Only then did the ticket inspector kneel and beg He Meng for mercy:

”If you can destroy the device maintaining the special barrier, perhaps you can make all the bracelets ineffective.”

He Meng asked the ticket inspector what parts made up the device, which parts could be damaged to ensure the Submarine could continue running while disabling the bracelets.

To avoid being dissolved by He Meng, the ticket inspector fearfully divulged all his secrets.

Then, He Meng recalled that before boarding, Yang Yu had taken them for a tour of the submarine center, where the basic structure of the Submarine was explained.

Staring at the stairwell for a while, He Meng felt that if she went back to hold off, she’d definitely end up being played around.

She was just a tiny helpless Slime, trying to stop so many people at once was beyond her.

Thus, He Meng decisively crawled into the ventilation duct, combined her memory, arrived at the control device for the bracelets, pulled its plug, then crawled through the duct to the viewing area.

Seeing light above, He Meng only then emerged from the gap in the viewing area.

What He Meng hadn’t expected was, in spite of having pulled the relic’s plug, upon returning, the instrument had started working again...

Could it be that the plug was designed to automatically reconnect to the socket?

Feeling quite frustrated by her oversight, had she known, she would have dissolved the plug right away.

Although upon her return, the battle had ended with satisfactory results, the unpredictability concerned her. At that time, she was only thinking about the hefty cost if the Submarine was damaged, neglecting the consequences of the bracelet reactivating midway.

Now it seems she was still not mature enough...

He Meng swept a glance at the approaching Guardian Team, bouncing in the air, reverting to her maiden form, gracefully walking on the ice towards Yang Yu.

Unknown to He Meng, even if she had indeed eaten the plug, the Submarine would have reactivated the barriers and bracelets.

Because...

In the Captain’s cabin, an old man pressed a red button, that was the button for the barrier device’s backup battery.

And behind him, Lotcar, seeing the conditions in the viewing area through the Captain’s cabin’s monitoring Crystal Ball, slapped the Captain to the floor, regretting just having trusted the old man’s words.
