The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1645: Chapter 1645: Nathalie: Amadeus Yancey Is My Boyfriend

Nathalie Quinlan paid them no mind, casually turning to Aunt Cagwin, ”I’ve bought the stuff. They’re all Traditional Chinese Medicines. You take them first, and I’ll tell you how to use them at noon.”

Although Traditional Chinese Medicines like ginseng and deer antler are nourishing, for someone like Uncle Cagwin, who has been bedridden for years, taking too much could have adverse effects.

Chinese Medicine emphasizes dosage.

The same prescription, with different dosages, could have vastly different effects.

The Fisher Family people didn’t understand any of this at all; they just bought these things from the pharmacy and eagerly brought them over.

A faint layer of coldness and impatience shrouded Nathalie Quinlan’s brow, but she didn’t say too much to Mrs. Fisher in front of Aunt Cagwin.

”Let me help you clean up a bit, we’ll head back first.” Nathalie spoke softly, clearly not with the same demeanor as when she spoke to Mrs. Fisher.

Aunt Cagwin, seeing the girl efficiently begin to help her pack up, didn’t have time to care what Mrs. Fisher and the others wanted to do. She hurried over and stopped the girl, ”No, Nathalie, you sit and rest on the side, I’ll do it myself and finish soon.”

”I’ve helped you pack up before.” Nathalie was quite natural about it, dodging her hand, bending down to pick up a plastic stool and stacking them together, then swiftly packing up the chopstick box and others.

She showed no airs, acting very naturally, as if she didn’t care about her image at all.

Zayn Fisher watched as the girl picked up plastic stools one by one and stacked them onto the cart, then turned to tidy up the simple wooden tables.

He couldn’t help but think of Ghania Quinlan.

Ghania Quinlan would never do these things, at least not in public. She’s like a pampered little princess, delicate and soft, making people involuntarily adore her.

But as time went on, the adoration would tire him out too.

Sometimes he would notice how completely different Nathalie Quinlan was from Ghania Quinlan, but back then he didn’t think much of it and wasn’t willing to admit he was blind.

It was only in the end that he understood what everyone meant when they told him not to drop the watermelon and pick up the sesame seed. Mrs. Fisher anxiously urged Zayn Fisher when she saw the girl had finished packing Aunt Cagwin’s stand, ”Zayn, what are you still dazing around for.”

Zayn Fisher took a deep breath, blocking the way just as the girl finished packing and was helping Aunt Cagwin push the tricycle ready to leave.

”Nathalie, I...”

”Get out of the way.”

The girl’s brows and eyes were quite impatient as she glanced at him, very annoyed.

Zayn Fisher was momentarily breathless, but he took a deep breath to calm himself down, fixing his still somewhat handsome face, focused as he spoke to the girl, ”Nathalie, I’d like to invite you to dinner.”

”...”

What?

Nathalie Quinlan narrowed her eyes, raised her eyebrow.

Then she smiled, her raised lips mischievous yet impatient, ”Zayn Fisher, are we even friends?”

After saying that, she felt it was quite pointless.

Nathalie Quinlan curtly refused, ”No need, my boyfriend would mind.”

Zayn Fisher’s face changed at her first words, and hearing her second, he looked even more embarrassed. He had heard bits of rumors at Tsinghua University, but he couldn’t get into Beijing’s circle, so he could only catch bits and pieces, unable to know more.

His hand at his side clenched tightly, he lowered his voice, ”Amadeus Yancey, he’s your...”

Nathalie Quinlan was straightforward, with no concealment, nor did she avoid Aunt Cagwin, readily admitting, ”Ah, he’s my boyfriend.”

Zayn Fisher’s mind felt like fireworks had exploded, glorious but leaving him blank, his throat dry, and nothing more to say!
