The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1625: Chapter 1625: Most Likely Just an Ordinary Person

Felice Owen nodded absent-mindedly, her mood souring again.

She frowned, picked up the phone on the table, and checked it once more, discovering that her agent still hadn’t replied to her message, prompting her to purse her lips, thinking she might be overthinking.

Just an ordinary Tsinghua University girl.

Simply a nobody!

Even if she’s a top student, that’s all there is to it.

The other party couldn’t possibly be someone untouchable.

Those untouchables in the circle her cousin mentioned wouldn’t bother coming to a science and education variety show that’s destined to make little impact.

She’s likely just an ordinary person.

At eleven o’clock, the variety show was about to start its live broadcast, and additionally, it would record an archived version that might be broadcast later on.

At ten-thirty, the staff in the studio were already bustling around, taking their positions, and the lenses of the six cameras had been adjusted for focus, ready for action.

About fifteen minutes later, the guests of the variety show slowly emerged from the lounge.

Nathalie Quinlan estimated that, including herself, there were a total of four guests for the first episode.

One of them was a veteran A-list film festival actress, though she’d been retired for a long time; this appearance was just a favor to someone.

The other was the host Joseph Meer had mentioned before, who was about thirty, with a chubby figure and a round face, exuding a friendly demeanor.

When he arrived, he first greeted the older celebrity, then turned back and warmly said to Nathalie, ”You’re the girl Mr. Meer mentioned, right?”

Nathalie raised an eyebrow, trying to supress the edge between her brows, appearing like someone not fond of talking, at least not conspicuous: ”Mm.”

The round-faced host didn’t recognize her either, nodded, and kindly advised, ”Don’t worry. Just follow me later, and when I get the chance, I’ll pass the conversation to you. You don’t need to be nervous; just follow my lead. Don’t be afraid of responding incorrectly; I’ll smooth it over for you.”

Nathalie noticed his serious tone, her lashes lowered slightly, her dark eyes revealing nothing unusual, and very politely nodded.

The young host casually exchanged a few words with her, then turned away as a hair stylist came over to fix his hair, not bothering any more with Nathalie.

Nathalie was quite indifferent, finding a quiet spot to lean against and play on her phone.

Felice Owen was the last person to arrive.

Her entrance was grand; unlike the other two celebrity guests who didn’t bring assistants, she brought her assistant to the site.

Her attitude towards the veterans was neither warm nor cold, revealing that her status wasn’t high, but her attitude was.

The other two guests were seasoned in the entertainment circle; every year a bunch of new faces like Felice Owen would emerge.

Young people are naturally competitive; it’s normal.

They were long accustomed to this, simply pretending not to notice it themselves.

Felice Owen greeted them lightly, and they maintained their face-saving courtesy, responding just as lightly.

Back and forth.

Despite arriving late, Felice Owen greeted the director, assistant director, and other guests.

Except for Nathalie.

It was as if she consciously ignored Nathalie completely, without even discussing getting to know each other since they were about to record a show together.

A star’s condescending attitude was fully displayed in front of a nobody.

Nathalie saw Felice Owen fluttering around like a butterfly, bringing her assistant to greet everyone as soon as she arrived on site, recognizing Felice Owen as the person she saw at the TV station entrance in the morning. She lazily lowered her eyelids, lacking interest, switched hands holding her phone, and didn’t care whether Felice Owen paid her any attention.
