The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1632: Chapter 1632: Blocked on the Way

Although Mrs. Griffin didn’t quite understand why he was so urgently concerned about the small-time artist from their company, she knew Govert Griffin wasn’t the type to cause trouble for no reason. Since Govert hurriedly called her, something must have happened.

She didn’t waste time and didn’t hang up Govert Griffin’s call.

She picked up the office’s internal phone and dialed a number to the artist department, confirming the situation.

Then she picked up her private phone, walked to the side, and with a frown, said briefly to Govert Griffin: ”Our company does have someone named Felice Owen. She’s an idol who came out of a talent show, one of the rookies the company is nurturing this year. Little Govert, what’s wrong with her? Why are you suddenly asking about her?”

Govert Griffin was straightforward: ”Blacklist her.”

”?”

His words left Mrs. Griffin even more confused. She continued: ”Blacklisting can be done, but you have to give me a reason. It’s not easy for the company to nurture an artist. Felice Owen is a rookie the company managed to secure from a talent show spot using resources. You suddenly tell me to blacklist her; I need to give an explanation to the board and the artist department...”

”Ha.” Govert Griffin let out a laugh, sounding more like a sneer, then directly said to her: ”Mom, she offended Mr. Yancey. Is that reason enough to shut those people up?”

In Beijing, how many people are respected enough to be called Mr. Yancey?

Moreover, Govert Griffin usually hung out with people from the small circle.

If he said it’s Mr. Yancey,

there’s only one person—Amadeus Yancey!

After understanding the stakes involved, Mrs. Griffin didn’t ask any more questions. She responded quickly, saying, ”I’ll explain to the artist department immediately.”

”Hmm.” Govert Griffin rubbed his temples, still feeling cold sweat on his back, and urged her again: ”Mom, handle this quickly, efficiently, and don’t entertain any false hopes. Artists with poor judgment like her should be shelved quickly to prevent bigger issues later on.”

A rookie who just debuted a year ago and with a bit of popularity and fans acts recklessly on a program.

Acting all high and mighty.

Disrespectful to the cultural relic restoration work and traditional culture, such a person with distorted values, even if she stays in the entertainment circle, won’t achieve much.

Better to shelve her early on.

In the McKinney TV studio.

The Chimes that Felice Owen damaged were being urgently repaired through the cooperation of Nathalie Quinlan and cultural relic restoration experts, barely restoring the damaged Chimes.

However, there were still some intricate details that needed attention.

The old restoration master responsible for showcasing this set of Chimes didn’t want to waste time, so he informed Joseph Meer and hurried back with the items.

With Nathalie Quinlan’s emergency help, this episode of the variety show finally ended successfully.

The crew, director, assistant director, and other guests were initially shocked by Felice Owen, but they were quite satisfied with the results.

The only one not satisfied was Felice Owen.

Ever since the cameras were turned off, her face turned extremely unsightly, and she went to a chair to rest with the support of her assistant.

Nathalie Quinlan had other matters to attend to.

Since the variety show was done filming, she went to the staff to retrieve her phone, preparing to find Joseph Meer and inform him before leaving.

Who knew just as she was about to leave,

a short and stout man suddenly blocked her path.
