The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1622: Chapter 1622: The Person He Came to Pick Up Is Nathalie

”Alright, Mr. Meer. You go ahead, we’ll manage on our own.” Felice Owen displayed a very polite and obedient demeanor.

Joseph Meer seemed to be in quite a hurry; he didn’t waste any time with them and left briskly.

”Felice, let’s go as well.” The assistant approached at this moment and whispered.

Felice Owen restrained her deliberately obedient and pleasing smile, maintaining a calm expression, and muttered an ’um’ as she was about to leave.

Her peripheral vision suddenly caught Joseph Meer, after hurriedly exiting the TV station, walking up to the girl they had previously encountered at the entrance, gesticulating as if talking to her.

The girl reacted quite composedly, without any excess expression on her face, only raising her head to adjust the duckbill cap throughout, while Joseph Meer did all the talking.

She couldn’t help but widen her eyes, somewhat incredulous, turning her head with a hint of anger to ask her assistant: ”Didn’t you tell me you haven’t seen that girl before?”

She had inquired about which guests were invited for the reality show.

Felice Owen considered herself the most popular among the few guests invited by the show, with the most fans.

In the current entertainment circle where popularity reigns, since she was the most popular and had the most fans, she was the most important guest for this reality show.

Earlier, she had proactively approached the director for a chat, yet he had been cold towards her.

If the director was indifferent to everyone, it wouldn’t matter.

Yet the director she usually interacted with turned away and warmly chatted with a regular girl, this contrast made Felice Owen feel like she was being slapped in the face.

Feeling uncomfortable, her expression naturally turned sour, her brows sharp as she instructed her assistant: ”Go, find out who that girl is!”

Meanwhile.

In a celebrity lounge at the end of McKinney TV station’s hallway, Nathalie Quinlan was without makeup, thus not needing a makeup artist or stylist.

She walked into the lounge, casually picked up a bottle of water from the table, twisted the cap off, holding the mineral water with her fair wrist but didn’t drink immediately.

Instead, she casually lifted her eyes, her clear black pupils looking at the elegant middle-aged man who followed her in, and asked in a low, hoarse voice: ”Director, do I need to do anything later?”

”You don’t need to do anything. We’re pressed for time, and I didn’t get a chance to brief you earlier. During the live broadcast, just stand to the side; I’ve already informed another guest in the show to look after you.”

Joseph Meer spoke to her very earnestly, in a completely different manner than he did with Felice Owen and others.

”He’s a host of the reality show and has experience in controlling the scene. During the live broadcast, he’ll find an opportunity to call on you. When he calls you, just respond with two sentences. If he doesn’t call you, remain silent, just stand there and don’t wander off.”

He explained quite meticulously.

Mainly unsure if Nathalie Quinlan understood the technicalities like positions and lenses, he pondered for a moment and continued: ”We’ll have six cameras aimed at you all. If you step out of the filming range, it wouldn’t be good.”

This reality show was using an unprecedented bold approach—the live broadcast format.

Though the live broadcast format is innovative, creative, and can capture the attention of some viewers.

But concurrently, this new approach has a very glaring drawback — the show is operated live, and if any unexpected incident occurs during the reality show, there’s no chance to edit and remedy later; it’ll be exposed solely before the audience!
