The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1624: Chapter 1624: Didn’t Expect It to Be an Acquaintance

The entertainment circle is just a vanity fair.

Here you can meet all sorts of people; who knows if the minor celebrity you encounter isn’t backed by a big boss.

Although Felice Owen didn’t believe the other party knew any big figures, asking wouldn’t hurt.

The assistant immediately relayed the name he inquired from the staff to Felice Owen.

Both of them were entrenched in the entertainment circle for so long, they had no interest in academic matters and thus hadn’t paid attention to news about university entrance exams or software-related professional competitions.

As for Lighten Chaser...

Other than helping Stephanie Tanzil out and appearing in a few short shots, Nathalie Quinlan kept a very low profile.

Furthermore, while Lighten Chaser’s reputation was significant, technically, they weren’t really part of the entertainment circle; they didn’t partake in commercial performances or shoot advertisements like stars do. So it’s no wonder even people within the Circle didn’t know much about Lighten Chaser, let alone bystanders.

Felice Owen and her assistant never even considered this angle...

She sent the name Nathalie Quinlan, which her assistant found out, to her agent, who hadn’t yet replied.

Whether it was because she was busy or simply hadn’t seen the message, Felice didn’t know.

Felice Owen didn’t dare call her.

After all, Emaline Bailey was one of the veteran agents in the entertainment circle, having handled many famous artists.

At one point, she almost propelled Felice’s cousin, Linda White, to first-line status.

Later, when Linda White offended someone, she had to go abroad at the peak of her career to avoid trouble, and only then did Felice become one of the artists under Emaline Bailey.

However, Emaline wasn’t managing only her; Felice’s stand was too minor, and Emaline was only caring for Felice out of consideration for her cousin.

She still had other artists to handle daily.

Her current assistant was also one of the assistants previously by Linda White’s side.

Felice Owen sent a message to Emaline, and upon seeing it, she suddenly remembered and couldn’t help asking him again: ”By the way, do you know who exactly my cousin offended?”

”This...” Felice’s assistant showed a troubled expression, looking rather helplessly at her: ”Felice, it’s not that I’m not telling you, but... even I don’t know what really happened inside! I was just one of your cousin’s life assistants, helping to buy things, contact drivers for pickup and drop-off. I wasn’t with Ruth and them that day; I only know that your cousin went out to shoot a magazine cover, halfway through, she was already blacklisted by the company. It seemed to be related to... a hot search.”

Upon hearing this again, Felice Owen noticed the key point: ”Hot search?”

The assistant, knowing what she wanted to ask, said first: ”I don’t know what hot search it was, just that because of a hot search, your cousin was blacklisted.”

”We never figured out the other party’s background; only Ruth and your cousin know what exactly happened back then. But Ruth has been very tight-lipped about it and never mentioned it to us afterwards.”

He finished, then asked Felice Owen: ”Felice, did your cousin ever mention something to you?”

Felice Owen shook her head in confusion: ”No, she never told me, only advised me to be very careful in the Circle, not to offend anyone, especially those who shouldn’t be offended.”

The assistant clicked his tongue, feeling quite emotional: ”Your cousin almost made it to first-line, she was so close. Just two more years, getting one award, she would definitely be first-line. Such a big-name artist could be blacklisted just like that; it shows your cousin was right, in this Circle, never offend anyone, or you won’t even know how you end up.”
