The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1612: Chapter 1612: Sadam Vinson Finally Knows Who Betrayed Him

She still wasn’t used to having something on her wrist.

Her brow furrowed slightly, she ruffled her hair and said softly, ”When I’m showering or playing games, having it on is inconvenient, easy to lose.”

Amadeus Yancey knew her personality, she preferred simplicity and disliked trouble.

He reached over to ruffle the girl’s hair, very good-naturedly, ”I know. You can wear it for two days, and if you don’t want to anymore, just put it away.”

Nathalie Quinlan frowned again, feeling not quite right, and said nothing.

Amadeus lowered his eyelashes, hiding the smile in his eyes, as if aware of what she was thinking, and said leisurely, ”This is just a gift for our 100 days. Then there will be your birthday gift, half-year gift, year gift, Valentine’s gift... Nathalie, are you going to wear them all?”

Nathalie imagined herself like a Christmas tree, covered in gifts, her mouth twitched as she quickly looked up, ”Ahem, I haven’t given you a gift yet, what would you like?”

As soon as she finished speaking, she remembered the ’gift’ Amadeus had wanted before.

She immediately said, ”I’ll bring you one back from McKinney, I’ll choose it myself.”

The way Nathalie reacted so fast caught Amadeus off guard. Seeing her eyes skittering and not looking at him, he realized what she was thinking and couldn’t help but chuckle, a low laugh escaping his throat, ”Alright.”

Nathalie felt a wave of heat rise to her earlobes at his laughter, feeling utterly uncomfortable, she changed the topic, ”By the way, I’m going to McKinney the day after tomorrow, just letting you know in advance.”

”Are you sure you want to participate in that variety show?” Amadeus knew Nathalie was deliberately changing the subject but cooperated with her calmly.

Indeed.

The girl’s tense back relaxed, she uttered an ’mm’, sounding normal again, ”I just happen to need to go there. I have something to handle.”

She planned to find what the Morse Code left in the Black Box was referring to.

”What time the day after tomorrow?”

Nathalie thought for a moment, ”Eight in the morning.”

”The variety show starts live at 11 a.m., I need to be there first, it’ll take some time on the way.”

An eight a.m. flight was too early.

She’d need to get up at least by six a.m.

At the thought of getting up early, Nathalie felt inexplicably irritable, but she had already promised Stephanie Tanzil she would go, and she never broke a promise.

”I need to get up early the day after tomorrow, go straight to the airport after waking up.” Her opinion was, that she would leave early the morning after and wouldn’t say goodbye to him.

Who knew Amadeus would naturally brush aside her bangs and, after dropping his hand, say, ”I have some things the day after tomorrow that I can’t leave, but I’ll take you to the airport in the morning. Once I’ve dealt with my tasks, I’ll come to McKinney to find you.”

Nathalie opened her mouth, originally wanting to say that wasn’t what she meant.

However, Amadeus didn’t give her the chance, ”It’s decided then!”

Nathalie restrained the casualness in her gaze, said nothing more, and nodded, considering it an agreement.

Vinson Family.

Sadam Vinson rushed back, only to be scolded endlessly by his mom. Finally, he pried the identity of the person who ratted him out from Mrs. Vinson and took the chance to make a quick exit, sending a resentful WhatsApp message.

”Amadeus, why did you sell me out and tell my mom I was playing games at your place?!”

The man’s WhatsApp avatar remained motionless.

Sadam was still deeply annoyed, and sent a flurry of messages in frustration.
