The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1092: Chapter 1092: Encountering Things That Don’t See Eye to Eye Again

Her head still had a duckbill cap on it, though the brim wasn’t pressed so low, revealing a face of remarkable elegance and beauty.

Nathalie Quinlan had just arrived outside Sea View Pavilion when she received a message from Winston Sullivan: [I ran into something and will be late. Could you wait for me with your classmates for a bit?]

She had seen the message in the group earlier that morning.

Winston Sullivan had mentioned this matter in the group.

Nathalie replied casually before stepping into Sea View Pavilion.

Sea View Pavilion was a mid-to-high-end restaurant. While it couldn’t compare to Rivendell, it was considered quite upscale in the university town area.

As soon as Nathalie entered, she was met with heated arguing inside.

”That private room was reserved by us first!”

”So what? We got here first. Ever heard of first come, first served?” A girl’s raised voice rang out, not at all endearing, filled with arrogant aggression: ”Besides, there are only a few of you from the Chinese Medicine department. Do you really need such a large private room? If you’re having a gathering, you can easily fit around any table in the main hall. Why waste resources?”

”You!”

Nathalie walked closer, spotting a girl with a baby face, looking adorable but now flushed red with frustration, her chest heaving intensely. She was clearly outraged yet at a loss on how to retaliate.

On the opposite side of the baby-faced girl stood over ten people. The leading girl was tall, with a haughty, unruly expression, her attitude showing complete disregard for others.

Nathalie raised an eyebrow, adjusted the brim of her cap, removed her earbuds, and walked forward, her voice raspy: ”What’s going on?”

”Our professor reserved this private room first; it was meant for a gathering with the new students before the semester starts, to have a meal together... but by the time we got here, the Clinical Medicine department people were also looking for spots.”

The boy from the Chinese Medicine department seemed unprepared for this situation, fumbling helplessly, unsure how to mediate.

”...They wanted the private room too, but it was already booked. When they saw us talking to the waiter, they insisted we give up the private room to them. Tiffany Olsen couldn’t stand it and started arguing with them.”

Talking about it, he balled his fists in frustration: ”That girl named Chloe Bailey actually paid the deposit first. None of us have cash on us right now. So the restaurant’s stance seems to be that we should give them the private room!”

Encountering something like this was genuinely infuriating!

The room they reserved was now being forcibly claimed by others. The other party clearly hadn’t booked a spot but was using their position to bully them.

Especially considering the long-standing rivalry between the Clinical Medicine department and the Chinese Medicine department. Once the Clinical Medicine department learned they were from Chinese Medicine, all their comments carried condescending and dismissive undertones.

Although they all belonged to the same university, even if the Chinese Medicine department wasn’t a popular major, there was no need for the Clinical Medicine students to act so superior—it was far too grating!

”I heard their professor called the manager...” The boy’s furrowed brows carried the suppressed fury of youth. In his heart, he deeply disapproved of Adelle Wafford’s actions, but his respect-for-teachers mindset kept him from outright criticizing her.

Originally, the private room had been reserved by them, but Chloe Bailey and the Clinical Medicine group wanted to steal it. Instead of discouraging them, their professor even helped by placing a call.

It was outrageously unfair!

”...” Nathalie lifted her gaze and spotted the manager of Sea View Pavilion. She recalled Amadeus Yancey had taken her here for a meal once before, and the same manager had hosted them.

Piecing together what had happened, she adjusted the brim of her cap and strode in the direction of the manager.

”Professor Wafford just called me. Let’s go ahead and give up this private room...” The Sea View Pavilion manager was speaking to a waiter about the matter.
