The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1056: Chapter 1056: What friend of Nathalie Quinlan sent her an invitation letter

”Mr. Wafford and his colleagues are also staying at Golden Pavilion?” Sadam Vinson has been mingling in Beijing for many years, so it’s impossible for him not to know Jackson Wafford. He could be considered a semi-graduate of Tsinghua University, just not as outstanding as Nathalie Quinlan.

He got into Tsinghua University with just over 600 points, thanks to the local student admission advantage, majoring in Finance.

But halfway through, he found Finance boring and developed an interest in Computer Science instead, so he went abroad for two years of study in that field.

Though he did go abroad to study in his sophomore year.

After all, Jackson Wafford was the president of Tsinghua University, which made him Sadam’s president too.

How could Sadam not be familiar with him?

”Mhm.” Nathalie Quinlan was quite calm as she responded with a hum.

Sadam Vinson took another moment to digest this information, still a bit dazed, then suddenly identified a bug and asked the most crucial question: ”Since you came with Mr. Wafford and the others, why aren’t they here? How come you are here alone?”

He saw that Nathalie Quinlan came alone; Jackson Wafford and his colleagues didn’t have the status to come up here.

If Nathalie Quinlan came to the Illegal Zone with the people from Tsinghua University, how did she end up in the hotel alone?

Alfred Garland was pondering the same question: ”Yes, Ms. Quinlan. Didn’t Mr. Wafford and the others come?”

Nathalie Quinlan paused for a second, her dark eyes glancing towards someone, pausing a moment, her voice somewhat hoarse: ”A friend gave me an invitation letter and asked me to attend on his behalf.”

Sadam Vinson: ”...”

Friend?

Giving away an invitation letter?

The IT association’s dinner this time is considered a top-tier gathering within the industry.

What kind of friend would have an invitation but not attend themselves, instead giving their place to someone else to attend for them?

What kind of status must Nathalie Quinlan’s friend have to be unconcerned about such a banquet?

He couldn’t help but recall that time in Beijing, in the VIP room of Rivendell, when Nathalie Quinlan mentioned an elder would be coming, and soon after Candice Yancey knocked on their private room’s door.

Now Nathalie Quinlan has another friend...

Sadam Vinson didn’t dare to think too deeply, fearing his brain capacity wasn’t enough, his courage not grand enough, his imagination not rich enough!

Amadeus Yancey didn’t give him the chance to continue questioning, looking nonchalantly at the girl, his thin lips slightly curving into a nice arc, lazily asking, ”Which floor are you staying on?”

Nathalie Quinlan glanced at him and didn’t feel like responding. Still, she reported her room number: ”3306.”

Amadeus Yancey pursed his lips, 3306, just a few floors below them at Golden Pavilion; it looked like the Presidential Suite was all booked up.

”Mr. Wafford and the others are in the room next to mine.”

Since they ran into Sadam Vinson and the others here, there wasn’t much point in attending the rest of the banquet. Rubbing her forehead, Nathalie Quinlan asked them, ”Shall we go to my room and chat?”

Sadam Vinson and his group were just passing by to take a look and to pay their respects to the IT association, but upon hearing Nathalie Quinlan’s invitation.

Sadam Vinson and Alfred Garland both looked up towards the man making the decisions at almost the same time: ”Amadeus?”

Amadeus Yancey truly didn’t expect such a coincidence, to run into her here, but they had met, and he wasn’t shy, indolent as he said: ”Let’s go!”

On one side of the IT Association banquet, Evelyn Quarles also arrived.

She held a red wine glass, her temperament restrained, somewhat impatient with this kind of social event, yet she was very aware she couldn’t behave recklessly here.

Those attending this banquet were all elites from the IT industry.

Not to mention the event was held in the Illegal Zone.

She heard that members of the Red Alliance might come as well.

Her beautiful eyes scanned around, hoping to spot someone from the Red Alliance by chance.
