The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1057: Chapter 1057: Sun seems to have come to the Illegal Zone

Her family had always wanted to establish a connection with Red Alliance, and Red Alliance saw great potential in her. If she successfully became a part of Red Alliance, the future competitive power of the Quarles Family in the industry would enhance significantly.

For her personally, it was also a good thing!

After all, her recent failure in the medical competition had caused her to lose face, and she had never experienced such a severe setback, making her lose interest in studying medicine.

IT?

Evelyn Quarles, young and full of vigor, contained the arrogance in her eyes, curved her lips upward, quite assertively so.

Their family was originally in this line of business. Not studying medicine, it wouldn’t hurt to switch industries and have some fun.

As she was thinking this, she suddenly caught sight of someone out of the corner of her eye.

”How could she be here?!” Evelyn Quarles clenched her fingers around the red wine glass, surprised and reacting the same as Sadam Vinson, feeling like her eyes were deceiving her.

That figure disappeared quickly.

She didn’t have time to see clearly; the person was already gone.

She put down her red wine glass, intending to go out and see if it really was her eyes playing tricks, thinking she recognized the wrong person. Just then, she received a phone call from her father.

Evelyn Quarles found a secluded spot and answered, ”Hello, Dad, what’s it?”

She was a bit distracted while speaking on the phone, her eyes continuously drifting in the direction where that figure had disappeared.

Her brows furrowed for a moment.

She felt irritable.

That silhouette looked exactly like a freshman from Qing University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Department.

What was his name again?

Evelyn Quarles thought for a while, and after a long time, she could only recall his Instagram ID—[Q].

She had secured the first place in the medical competition for three consecutive years and had never faced a Waterloo in her medical studies until that defeat, which was her first setback in life.

She still remembered how he mockingly outmaneuvered her during the second round of the rapid-response phase.

Eventually overpowering her with a score of 98, humiliatingly pushing her to achieve her most shameful score ever—59!

She failed!

As if that weren’t enough, he blatantly slapped her face on Instagram.

Publicly displaying the words ”Traditional Chinese Medicine.”

It was clearly a provocation against what she had once said in an interview in front of the media, dismissing Chinese medicine as mere plaything.

Charles Quarles was speaking on the other end, but Evelyn Quarles wasn’t quite clear; she only heard keywords like ’Arbitration Committee’, ’Red Alliance’, and ’chip’.

She hurriedly gathered her scattered thoughts, trying to calm herself and said vaguely, ”Dad, what did you say? I didn’t catch that. It’s too noisy here, can you repeat? What happened with the Arbitration Committee?”

The voice of the middle-aged man on the phone was evidently frustrated, suppressing his anger, he repeated coldly, ”I’m saying that the research team from Tsinghua somehow contacted Red Alliance, and Red Alliance suddenly changed their stance to support them. The Arbitration Committee just informed me that they’ve received the proofs provided by Tsinghua, they will announce the results after their research. It seems they are likely to reject our proposal and accept Tsinghua’s research results!”

This time Evelyn Quarles heard clearly, she felt a sudden sinking sensation in her heart, her face darkened, as she covered the phone with her hand and walked hastily outside, lowering her voice, ”How could this be, didn’t Red Alliance say they would stand up for us?”

@ilovebeingskinny mentioned that she had great potential and a chance to join Red Alliance.

@ilovebeingskinny is one of the main members of Red Alliance, his support for Cubicle Group would be more influential than anyone else’s words.

”I’ve gathered some information... Sun seems to have come to Illegal Zone!”

”You mean Sun?”

Evelyn Quarles was stunned.
