The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1059: Chapter 1059: There’s a Mining Tycoon in the Illegal Zone

Nathalie Quinlan saw him coming over, shifted to make room, and said languidly, ”I don’t know. Have a look around, if there is some, there is some; if not, then there isn’t.”

It was also her first time staying in a suite at the Golden Pavilion Hotel, and she wasn’t sure if there was any tea.

She did see coffee powder, though.

However, someone prefers tea.

”Alright. I’ll have a look.” Alfred Garland moved efficiently, heading straight to the kitchen counter, opening the cabinet to search for the tea.

Nathalie Quinlan, seeing that they were all tea drinkers, slowly walked back carrying a bottle of mineral water, twisting the cap open as she went without jostling with the few of them, dragged a chair to the side of the living room, sat down, took a gulp of water with her head thrown back, then slowly twisted the cap back on.

When Wallace Radcliff saw her coming back and taking a seat not far from him, his jaw, which was about to drop from shock, eventually snapped back into place. His face, marred with a scar, looked rough and fierce, but he sat stiffly, rubbing his hands, visibly nervous and uneasy when facing Ms. Quinlan: ”Miss Quinlan, why didn’t you tell me in advance that you were coming to the Illegal Zone? Mario Cagwin and I could have gone to the airport to pick you up.”

Ever since Phoebe Hoffman was expelled from The Ninth Institute, the position of the leader of the second group had been vacated.

Mario Cagwin, for his outstanding performance, had been promoted two ranks to take over Phoebe Hoffman’s position. His talent in computer programming wasn’t as good as Hoffman’s, but at least he had some leadership ability, knew how to make good use of people, and arranged things in an organized manner for his subordinates. Occasionally, when faced with a challenging programming problem, he would ask Nathalie Quinlan for help, keeping in touch with her.

Hearing Wallace Radcliff say this, Mario immediately echoed with a disappointed face: ”Yes, Miss Quinlan, why didn’t you say something in advance?”

Sadam Vinson, upon hearing these two fools’ words, clicked his tongue, resting a hand on the back of his head, wanting to criticize that he himself had only learned of Nathalie Quinlan’s presence at the Golden Pavilion by running into her, while these two wanted prior notice.

”It was a last-minute decision.” Nathalie Quinlan casually placed the mineral water on a table at her side, her facial expression placid, lifting her eyes gently, her beautiful eyes reflecting a casual disinterest: ”I didn’t know you guys were here before.”

She only knew Sadam Vinson had mentioned that they were going out for a few days.

He never said they were coming to the Illegal Zone.

Who knew it would be such a coincidence.

Running right into them.

”This, well...” Wallace Radcliff was a straightforward guy, and ever since the incident with Phoebe Hoffman at The Ninth Institute, he had already privately regarded Nathalie Quinlan as one of their own, without the slightest intention to hide anything, and spoke candidly: ”Here’s the thing, Master Cadmus’s laboratory needs a batch of raw materials, and there happens to be a Mining Tycoon in the Illegal Zone who has recently released some rare metals, which include what Master Cadmus needs.”

As he mentioned that there was a Mining Tycoon in the Illegal Zone, Nathalie Quinlan felt a twinge in her temples, pursed her lips, felt a headache coming on, and turned her head to ask him, ”What materials are you planning to buy?”

”Beryllium, titanium, vanadium, and also lanthanum.”

”...” Nathalie Quinlan remained silent for two seconds, not making a sound.

Mistaking her silence for lack of understanding in this matter, Wallace Radcliff explained loudly to her: ”These are classified as rare metals. Rare metals are those that are present in low concentrations in the Earth’s crust, distributed sparsely, or difficult to extract from raw materials. This Mining Tycoon is quite something, ’he’ has quite a few resources in this regard.”

Nathalie Quinlan leaned back in her chair, her fingertips idly tapping on her phone screen, not actually turning it on, seemingly lost in thought.

Seeing her preoccupied, Radcliff couldn’t help but ask curiously, ”By the way, Miss Quinlan, how did you end up in the Illegal Zone?”

This isn’t a place ordinary people can come to; for Miss Quinlan, a girl, to run off to this place, it’s quite dangerous.
