The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 846: Chapter 846: A Row of Zero Scores, Neat and Orderly

The Academic Director’s throat tightened.

He couldn’t quite believe it.

They had an ace this year, originally planning to vie for the national top scorer, but Nancy Sullivan’s reaction was quite off.

Nancy Sullivan was still dressed in a professional suit, her hair meticulously combed back, making her seem somewhat fierce and distant. However, those who knew her understood that she was just rigorous and responsible in her work.

When she saw Mr. Jones approaching, she lifted her head, her voice slightly heavy, sounding in a bad mood, ”I checked the scores of several students, and Freddy Cagwin scored the highest with 712 points, followed by Justin Wafford with 703 points.”

The homeroom teachers initially thought her poor face color indicated their class had performed badly, shocking them since the A class alone had two students scoring above 700.

Scores above 700 could make it into the top fifty in the province.

Freddy’s score might even break into the top ten of the province.

Nancy Sullivan continued, ”Then there’s Jhovany Sullivan and our class’s Rulu Ren, both around 680 points... These are all decent scores.”

The homeroom teacher of Class C, who had a good relationship with her, had gifted Nathalie Quinlan a complete set of essay books when she took leave from the office to attend the exams in Beijing. Hearing this, his Maitreya Buddha-like kind face showed a puzzled expression, looking at Nancy Sullivan, ”Aren’t these good scores? Ms. Sullivan, why do you still look as if the sky has fallen? I thought your class had been wiped out too, which gave me a scare!”

If his class had a student scoring above 700, he would probably be so happy that he might jump up right there.

And offer incense in gratitude to his ancestors at home.

With two students scoring above 700 in Nancy Sullivan’s class, and several more scoring around 680, these results were enough to dominate all schools around McKinney. Yet, why did she still have a reaction as if everything had gone wrong?

Nancy Sullivan looked at him, removed her gold-rimmed glasses, pinched her nasal bridge, and said with a headache, ”I checked Nathalie Quinlan’s scores.”

Mr. Jones grew anxious, ”How much did Nathalie Quinlan score?”

Nancy Sullivan pursed her lips, hesitating for a long while before scanning everyone’s faces, then said with difficulty, ”0 points.”

The homeroom teachers of senior year, as well as Mr. Jones and the Academic Director, were all stunned and took a moment to regain their composure.

Nancy Sullivan continued in a low voice, ”I checked her scores, everyone else’s had come out, but when I checked hers, it showed 0 points.”

She had never encountered such a scenario in all her years of teaching.

Currently, Nathalie Quinlan’s scores showed 0 points, 0 in Chinese, 0 in Mathematics, 0 in English, 0 in the science composite—perfectly aligned zeros.

It made her eyes dazzle and her vision go dark.

Nancy Sullivan, feeling uneasy yet disbelieving of the possibility, turned to ask Mr. Jones, ”Principal, did Nathalie Quinlan attend the exam?”

Mr. Jones was also unclear about what the situation was. Nathalie Quinlan scoring 0? It was too...unexpected!

He shook his head, his face as pale as Nancy Sullivan’s. Although No. 1 Middle School had two students scoring above 700, he couldn’t bring himself to smile, ”She must have gone; it’s impossible she didn’t attend since she said she would. There’s no need for her to lie to me.”

Nancy Sullivan fell silent.

Then looked again at the scores displayed on the computer, growing even more puzzled about the current situation.

Nathalie Quinlan’s participation in the college entrance examination drew much attention.

Besides a large group from Class A, others were also waiting to see her results, like Emilia Sullivan and Ghania Quinlan.

Many in Beijing were also awaiting the results.

The admission ticket number for the college entrance examination was different from the earlier one used at Tsinghua’s Joint Entrance Exam and was not very confidential, making it easily obtainable. Nathalie Quinlan was a celebrity at No. 1 Middle School, and her admission ticket number had been posted early on the school’s forum.
