The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 844: Chapter 844: Let’s Talk About the Results After They Come Out

Nathalie Quinlan reined in the gentleness in her eyes and spoke much more directly to him, her lips curling into a bold, wild smirk. Her pair of dark, bright eyes were nonchalant, ”Let’s talk about it when the results come out.”

*

As soon as the college entrance exams were over, the students who had just finished their senior year were like wild horses that had broken free from their reins. Those who were meant to travel went on trips, while others, eager to make the most of their time before the exam results were announced, holed up at home to game. Everyone wanted to have a blast before the scores came out,

To spare themselves the potential shock of their results killing them on the spot.

Nathalie, too, was very busy; she took the opportunity of this half-month to arrange for surgery for Uncle Cagwin.

Before they knew it, it was the day to check the college entrance exam results, June 26th. It wasn’t even ten in the morning when the excitement started bubbling in Class A’s group chat.

[Jhovany Sullivan: The results are supposed to be online now; who has checked theirs?]

[Clerent Miller: I’m still trying to log in, damn it, it won’t go through. The school system is jammed. God, my heart is racing so fast, it’s about to burst out of my chest. If anyone gets in, please let me know; I’m too scared to look. I’ll send you my admission ticket number, just help me check it.]

...

The group was buzzing with chatter about the exam results.

Freddy Cagwin, breaking his usual silence, also spoke up in the group.

[Freddy Cagwin: My results are out.]

As soon as he said that, someone immediately asked below.

[Royce Norton: Holy shit, you got them? How many points?]

[Justin Wafford: Freddy, you got your score? How much?]

Freddy Cagwin didn’t reply in the group for quite some time.

While some tried their luck at logging into the result-checking system, others anxiously awaited the scores from the first person in class to retrieve theirs.

A full five minutes passed before Freddy replied at a snail’s pace.

[Freddy Cagwin: 712.]

There was a dead silence in Class A’s group chat.

Clerent Miller reacted the quickest, first dropping a sticker worshiping the big boss, followed by a barrage of messages, as if on a stimulant.

[Clerent Miller: Holy shit, 712? You crossed 700 points? Who was the top scorer from our school a few years ago, with just over 680 points? Your score is definitely top of McKinney this year! Congratulations! Haha, what a great start.]

Jhovany Sullivan follows up: [Are you talking about that Zayn Fisher? Him? He only had about 680, but Freddy has outdone him by thirty points this time.]

Zayn Fisher had a deep connection with Ghania Quinlan.

Even at No. 1 Middle School, despite being an honored graduate, Zayn wasn’t much liked in Class A.

Everyone was rather pleased that Freddy had crushed Zayn’s score.

Being the protagonist, Freddy appeared to be deep in composure, responding with a few concise words.

[Freddy Cagwin: I can’t be McKinney’s top scorer this year. Don’t forget, Nathalie also took the exam this year.]

was a high score.

On top of that, it was an exceptionally difficult feat in the science stream. It would seem that the title of McKinney’s top scorer wouldn’t be in question with those results.

But Freddy hadn’t forgotten that there was another who sat for the exam this year.

With that person in play, his score wasn’t sufficient to claim the first place.

The rest of Class A also came to their senses, remembering Nathalie was one of the examinees, and started to inquire within the group chat.

[Speaking of which, where’s Nathalie? Why haven’t we seen her pop up?]

[Don’t know, maybe she’s still sleeping?]

...

While they were wondering about the person they presumed to be asleep, she had already gotten up, taken a shower, slipped into her robe, and was dabbing at the water drops in her hair.

The girl moved indifferently, casually making her way back to her desk with the humid gleam in her eyes as if remembering what day it was. She pulled out the chair and opened the laptop sitting on her desk.

The laptop hadn’t been powered on yet.

Her phone, on the other hand, was constantly chiming with notification after notification, all messages from the group chat.
