The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 838: Chapter 838: Don’t forget to give me the answer after the college entrance examination

After breakfast, Amadeus Yancey drove Nathalie Quinlan to the examination site.

There were checkpoints set up by the traffic police outside the examination center. Apart from the various schools’ buses, all social vehicles were prohibited from entering.

Amadeus Yancey actually had the clearance to drive in, but it wasn’t necessary.

The black sedan came to a steady stop outside the examination center. Nathalie Quinlan adjusted her hat brim, opened the car door, and said to the man in the driver’s seat, ”I’m off.”

Just as she was about to exit,

her wrist was suddenly grasped.

Nathalie Quinlan turned her head, her beautiful black eyes clear and pure as she looked at him.

Under her gaze, Amadeus Yancey slightly curved the corners of his mouth, his face charmingly provocative, presumptuous and willful, his voice low and husky, ”I’ll wait for you outside. After the test, I’ll take you for lunch.”

”Okay.” Nathalie Quinlan’s one hand was held by him, while her other hand adjusted her hat brim again, pursed her lips, and said, ”Justin Wafford and the others have the same examination center as me, and we’ve arranged to eat lunch together.”

McKinney had four examination centers, each in different schools.

The students from Class A were also dispersed among different schools. However, coincidentally, Justin Wafford, Jhovany Sullivan, and a few others were taking the exam at the same place as her.

As soon as the examination room assignments were announced, Justin Wafford had proposed in the group to meet for lunch and compare answers.

She had already agreed.

Now Amadeus Yancey was saying he wanted to eat together after the exam, it was a bit late.

If it were someone else, they might have let it go, but this person was Mr. Yancey from Beijing. Upon hearing this, he merely raised his eyebrows slightly and said calmly, ”Your classmates? How many people?”

”About four or five.”

Amadeus Yancey curved his lips in amusement, let go of her wrist, and placed his hand on the steering wheel, ”The car seats just enough, so let’s all go together. I’ll book a spot and wait for you guys to come out.”

Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t planned to join him, but since he made the offer that way, she didn’t refuse. After thinking for a moment, she agreed.

”Then let’s go to Waterfront Pavilion. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten there.”

”Sure, you decide the place.” He finished speaking, his eyes extremely deep, as if they could pull someone in, staring at Nathalie Quinlan without blinking, and the corners of his lips still carried a welcoming smile, but his gaze was full of urgency, ”Dear respected examiner, don’t forget what you promised me. After the college entrance examination, you’ll give me the answer.”

He had been waiting for this answer for half a month, quite eagerly.

For anyone else, for anything else, he would absolutely not have this patience.

But for Nathalie Quinlan... he forced himself to wait so long.

Nathalie Quinlan gave him a speechless look, not understanding if it was appropriate for him to talk about this outside the examination center, also afraid it might affect her performance.

Nevertheless, she waved her hand, pulled on her hat, her chin cut coldly and handsomely, got the message, and walked away without looking back.

The first section of the Joint Entrance Exam was Chinese, followed by mathematics, then English, and finally either Arts or Science Comprehensive.

After the Chinese section ended, Justin Wafford and the others were devastated.

Each one of them gloomily compared answers, seeming to have performed averagely.

After the mathematics section, the class WhatsApp group was filled with lamentations, many saying that they had turned in a blank page for the last long question.

Clerent Miller and a few others sent out emoji packs declaring their on-the-spot demises.

Then came English and the Arts or Science Comprehensive... After two days of the college entrance exams, Twitter was flooded with several hot search items, from the first day’s composition topics to the subsequent extreme difficulty of the mathematics, followed by various exam-related tweets that consistently topped the Hot Search List.

The last exam was the Science Comprehensive.

As the test papers were distributed, Nathalie Quinlan glanced over it, and confirmed that while its difficulty couldn’t compare to Tsinghua University’s Joint Entrance Exam, it was still a bit more challenging than the usual practice tests they took.

She took out a black water-based pen from her pencil case, flipped to the back, and immediately started writing from the last question onward...
