Chapter 139: Chapter 101: Surveillance Zone

[Damn! What kind of crazy luck does the streamer have? Last time he died, he witnessed the conspiracy of the Black Night Rose, and this time he’s seen a plot of the Dark Kingdom, but most importantly, he didn’t even lose his Magic Staff!!!]

[That’s a big six, Great Demacia is eternal, streamer should go buy a lottery ticket, this luck is unbeatable...]

[Isn’t this a turn of events? Say he’s lucky, he got two Magic Staffs blown away in a row, and his permanent Level 10 Summoned Creatures are useless. Say he’s unlucky, but all the hidden missions end up for the streamer, unbelievable.]

[Mad, so jealous, still over sixty days until open beta, can the streamer take someone along?]

[6666.....]

Seeing the barrage of comments, Demacia felt a bit smug, he thought for a moment and asked: [But did anyone notice where we are now? I didn’t mark the route.]

The comments were mostly teasing and sarcastic, but the internet in the Celestial Dynasty is all about questions and answers, so about thirty seconds later someone started answering Demacia’s question.

[Based on the map the streamer released earlier, it’s about two thousand kilometers from Dongwu City to the nearest Chaoyang City, and the speed of the Steam Train in the game is around a hundred kilometers per hour. The streamer rode for five hours in total, which is five hundred kilometers, but considering the tracks of the Steam Train aren’t straight, the streamer should mark about one-fifth of the way from Dongwu City to Chaoyang City.]

[Yeah, I just looked at the map, this area is wilderness, and the only wilderness at about that location on the map is the East Fence Wilderness. Based on speed and the track trajectory, you’re probably in the southeast of the East Fence Wilderness.]

[Just to complain a bit, I did some boring calculations, and the diameter of the Dawn Federation is over eighty thousand kilometers, much larger than Blue Star, and only has seven hundred million people. What are these people thinking? They can’t even use one percent of the land, right? Wouldn’t it be more suitable for economic development if the cities were closer together?]

[Whoa, it’s that big? Then even Golden Upper Tier can’t reach other Federations, how far apart must they be separated?]

[The most ridiculous thing is that even with such distances, cities can still be connected by Steam Trains!!!]

[666....]

Reading a long string of explanations, Demacia excitedly typed back: [Haha, as expected of you guys, only fifteen minutes left till resurrection, I’m destined to take off again.]

He noticed some comments, thought for a moment, and typed out: [The Federation’s vast lands and sparse population is unavoidable, and as for why the cities are so far apart, it’s because war can happen at any time. Have you noticed the Federation’s sphere of influence is roughly a neat circle, and the closer to the center, the denser the cities are?]

[The cities’ strength is also systematic, the strongest being the Capital City at the center, the small cities near the Capital City are relatively weak, and the further out you go, the stronger they are, and the further apart the cities are.]

[Border Cities are isolated, with no other Federation cities within two thousand kilometers around them.]

[The intent is clear, Border Cities act like nails and are the Federation’s most combat-ready cities. If attacked by enemies, the Capital City’s Extraordinary System can quickly support them.]

[If anything bypasses the border and directly attacks the inner cities, because the combat strength is decreed step by step, the inner cities won’t be weak. Once Border Cities dispatch troops, the enemy will be caught in a pincer attack.]

[Of course, the enemy could continue to bypass, after bypassing one heavy city after another, are some cities without much combat power, but these developing cities are relatively dense, and they are very close to the strongest Capital City. Maybe before they even make a move, the big shots in the Capital City will slap them down. These guys who don’t even dare to attack the Border Cities will be laid to waste.]

[In short, to me, the Border City is a test of combat power. Those who can conquer Border Cities, well, the rear is on alert and support fast for a war of attrition. Those who can’t are just looking for death if they continue further in.]

[And in case of disaster, cities can operate independently, acting like small kingdoms. Many things in this game may seem unreasonable, but if you think carefully, they’re pretty reasonable.]

[Otherwise, after Baiyi invented Intercontinental Missiles, almost every city wouldn’t have bought their own Intercontinental Missiles. Isn’t it because of the impact area? Five thousand kilometers, and two or three cities near the border can help each other.]

[As for the train connections... let’s put it this way, one Gold Coin can hire a hundred Level 9 young men for a month, without even having to provide food. Labor is dirt cheap!]

[And what is the concept of Level 9? Level 10 is the limit for an ordinary person, with eight points of Power already rivaling a real weightlifting champion, not to mention there’s a Race like the Beastman with naturally high Power.]

[As long as you don’t encounter monsters, it’s not a difficult task, and there are Adventurers within the Federation to sweep away internal monsters, click... favorable conditions indeed.]

Demacia mused a bit, agreeing with the summaries by the Guard Brigade: [I kind of know the gist. After some time, the Guard Brigade will make a video analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the three Federations as well as the game’s World setting, so you might want to wait for that.]

[6666....]

A streak of sixes spammed the chat, and Demacia felt a bit proud. He wasn’t plagiarizing someone else’s hard work, after all, the data for the three Federations have been mostly revealed by the players. What the Guard Brigade needs to do is only to compile it all.

He’s kind of advertising in advance.

Checked the resurrection time: [Resurrection is imminent, I’m destined to take off again.]
