Chapter 121: Chapter 93: Red Dragon

Baiyi solemnly hung up the phone. It seems the players have provoked a giant dragon, which is a bit troubling; it’s just unclear what kind of dragon it is.

”Mr. Baiyi? What happened?” Stiss cautiously inquired.

”Nothing. Discuss the military system with Sabo; he knows what to do.” A special fluctuation flashed through the space ring in Baiyi’s hand.

Neatly arranged potions and special equipment appeared in the corner, among them the clown’s dagger and necklace.

In an exchange system, regardless of whether anyone can afford it or not, there must be a few high-end pieces of equipment to motivate those talents.

”Yes.”

Stiss responded with a bow as he watched Baiyi’s back.

At this moment, Baiyi’s phone rang again; it was a call from Sifu. It seems Dongwu City’s monitoring of the outside isn’t sluggish.

”Mr. Baiyi, a high-level energy reaction has been detected 25 kilometers outside the East City Gate, and the energy level has reached Golden Upper Tier.”

Baiyi frowned. Wasn’t it said to be a Golden Middle Tier giant dragon?

”I understand. Have missiles aim at the target at any time, and notify the Wucheng Army’s city defense cannon to be ready. I will go take a look.”

Baiyi said as the power of contract flickered.

”Roar~”

The roar of a giant dragon came from the sky. Baiyi used his spiritual power to lift himself, instantly being carried by the giant dragon to the target location.

The propellers on the dragon’s wings were activated, and the speed of Mach 5 suddenly erupted, shattering some glass windows in the city, but fortunately, the Inner City District was mostly populated by Transcendents, so there was no injury caused by the sonic boom.

A gentle gaze accompanied his progress, giving Baiyi a slight sense of relaxation.

The City Lords of Border Cities are the anchors of stability. The City Lord of Dongwu City, whose vitality has yet to fade, fears nothing except those of Legendary stature.

At Mach 5 speed, 25 kilometers took only 15 seconds to approach. A dark red massive figure faintly appeared.

A gigantic figure, 300 meters long and with a wingspan of 400 meters, appeared at the edge of sight.

Its mouth accumulated dragon flame, eyes fixedly staring at a patch of forest.

This turned out to be an adult red dragon!

Baiyi raised his hand, and the worker bee in his hand quickly disbanded and reassembled into a massive Barrett.

The bone dragon began to slow down, while Baiyi also aimed at the target.

The immense sense of crisis made the red dragon’s scarlet eyes look over. Upon seeing the mechanical giant dragon and the Silver Upper Tier human on it.

Its eyes suddenly flashed with a violent emotion, filled with angry dragon language, ”Dare to covet the treasures of the great Tina Anderson, you shall turn to ash in the flames!”

”Roar~”

A dragon’s roar sounded, and instead of immediately spewing its scorching breath at the forest, it changed its target to Baiyi, as it felt a peculiar sense of threat from the contemptible bone dragon and the humble human race.

”Breath.”

Baiyi calmly said.

The propellers behind the mechanical giant dragon’s wings opened, instantly ascending vertically, dodging the red dragon’s breath at an unbelievable speed.

The undead’s breath, enhanced by the mechanical boost, was also unleashed fiercely along with a rapid dive.

Baiyi aimed the Barrett in his hand at the dragon’s eye and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Boom!

A huge explosion resounded, and bits of spirit dust fell from Baiyi’s shoulder, with the dragon under him momentarily pausing from the terrifying recoil.

A strong sense of crisis hit as a flicker of surprise appeared in the red dragon’s eyes. Its breath stopped instantly, and its wings crossed protectively over its head.

Boom!

The Barrett’s bullet hit the red dragon’s wings. The powerful penetration went through the dragon’s wings, but most of its kinetic energy was lost. When it hit the dragon’s eyelid, it no longer had the power to pierce through the dragon’s skin.

However, the bullet’s strong kinetic energy still caused the dragon’s body to sink a bit, and the following undead breath hit without surprise.

The power of the undead erupted abruptly, pressing the dragon harshly into the ground.

The Barrett in Baiyi’s hand shattered. He fiddled with the mechanical giant dragon’s console, and holes appeared under the dragon’s scales.

The recently replenished various shells, bullets, and toxins mercilessly poured down.

Baiyi’s terrifying spiritual power followed, carrying countless Alchemy Poisons, striking fiercely at the red dragon engulfed in explosive flames.

Boom boom boom....

A series of explosions echoed all around, as the bone dragon under Baiyi swept past, rushing into the forest.

The nearly dead Feng Chen and Flowers of the Other Shore let out a sigh of relief and couldn’t help giving a thumbs up to the sky. As expected of the Child of Destiny, truly reliable.

Spiritual power approached as the two players were carried onto the back of the mechanical giant dragon. The dragon executed a strong aerial loop, hovering above the forest, overlooking the smoke-covered center of the explosion.

”How did you provoke this red dragon?” Baiyi calmly asked.

Below, the explosion began to subside, but Mr. Baiyi could still feel a strong sense of threat. Clearly, the series of bombings just now wasn’t enough to render the Golden Middle Tier Red Dragon incapacitated.

Feng Chen and Flowers of the Other Shore exchanged a glance, and Feng Chen honestly replied, ”A mage said there was a secret realm here and asked us to explore it. We then entered a space filled with treasures, and this is what happened.”

A slight solemnity appeared in Mr. Baiyi’s eyes; this familiar feeling indicated that Black Night Rose has begun to research players.

In version 3.0, one reason the Dawn Federation descended into chaos was this factor, as for ordinary players, it was difficult to distinguish whether an NPC was with Black Night Rose or just a regular NPC.

One complex task after another turned the Fourth Calamity truly into a scourge, dealing a devastating blow to the Federation’s order.

Outside, kingdoms established by Ancient God Believers ran rampant in the Mutated Zone, while inside, Black Night Rose stirred up trouble everywhere, and players followed them in creating chaos.

Just like this time, a task was given to players to provoke some terrifying being to let the Federation take fall for it, or their task was simply to destroy something of the Federation.

And it is hard to guard against players; besides the restrictions of the game system, nothing could really stop their destruction.

”I understand.”

Buzz~

In front, a massive cloud of dust quaked heavily as the Red Dragon, virtually unscathed, stood up, its scarlet eyes fixed intently on Mr. Baiyi.

In this world, dragons are Five-Colored Dragons—but entirely different from those in other games.

They aren’t all evil, nor do Metal or Gem Dragons exist.

In this world, dragons are divided into five kinds. Representing fire, strength, and fearlessness, the Red Dragon is the most physically powerful among the Five-Colored Dragons; most of them reside near volcanoes and are the most common type of dragon.

Representing wisdom, strategy, and the sea, the Blue Dragon, living mostly in oceans or lakes, is the sage among dragons.

Representing wealth, resources, and earth, Yellow Dragons inhabit regions rich in minerals, constantly devouring various minerals, giving them exceptionally high defense.

The Green Dragon represents life and nature; known for their gentle temperament, they are the kind type of dragons, mostly residing in forests, accompanied by Elemental Spirits and Druids.

Lastly, the Black Dragon, symbolizing death and destruction, is an emblem of fear, extremely brutal and vindictive, unfriendly to all living things; they prefer living in lifeless high mountains, overlooking the earth.

These five kinds of dragons share one trait: an affinity for high-value items and shiny things.

Wealth is what they value most. Even the gentle Green Dragon would unleash nature’s catastrophe if someone touched its treasure without consent.

And now, the player has provoked the most short-tempered Red Dragon, causing some trouble.

”Honorable Ms. Tina Anderson, I believe there may be some misunderstanding. I am the acting City Lord of Dongwu City of the Dawn Federation. If possible, could we sit down and talk? Perhaps we could return your treasure to you.”

Mr. Baiyi asked with a gentle smile on his face and a loud voice.

The Red Dragon is merely hot-tempered, not inherently evil, though not virtuous either; it mainly leans towards chaotic neutrality.

A self-centered kind of dragon.

”Talk? There’s nothing to discuss, you lowly undead and humble insects. For daring to attack the great Tina Anderson, you are destined to pay a heavy price.”

The Red Dragon roared fiercely, flapping its wings, causing the ground to crack, and with immense force, it swooped toward the Mechanical Giant Dragon.

Hot Dragon Breath was gathering in its mouth, the scarlet eyes locked onto Mr. Baiyi and the two players behind him. Having its treasure stolen and getting hit by a series of attacks, its rationality was now slipping away.

It’s a pity, Mr. Baiyi thought. The Silver-Level Alchemy Poison posed a certain threat to other gold-tier creatures, but for Red Dragons, their scorching internal flame could kill 99% of Alchemy Poisons.

The thruster on the Mechanical Giant Dragon’s back suddenly powered up, wildly lifting itself. Even at five Mach, it couldn’t distance itself; the Red Dragon was closing in fast.

A Magic Scroll appeared in Mr. Baiyi’s hand, opened.

In the sky, a Hexagram Array suddenly appeared, soon shining brightly; after the Bone Dragon had flickered, it fiercely unleashed a barrage of ice arrows aiming downward.

The Red Dragon ignored the Lower Tier scroll, as living dragons possess high magic resistance. She closed her fragile eyes, withstanding the endless rain of ice arrows, breaking through the array’s blockade in an instant.

When it reopened its eyes, the distance between them was less than a kilometer, a very close range, for at five Mach or even above speed, it would take less than half a second to tear the enemy apart.

But what greeted it wasn’t the expected close encounter, but a massive shell, forcefully pressed down by Mr. Baiyi’s Spiritual Power.

The shell was over ten meters long, rapidly speeding towards it. A glimmer of firelight emerged, suddenly instilling a strong sense of danger.

The Red Dragon’s pupils contracted; the previous blind sprint left it with no chance to dodge now. With no hesitation, the hot Dragon Breath, built up in its mouth, blasted towards the impending missile.

Buzz~ Boom!

Following the intense energy fluctuation was a violent explosion. An exceptionally fierce ball of fire erupted midair, where the collision between the missile and the dragon’s breath generated a powerful shockwave, promptly pressing the Red Dragon downward.

Mr. Baiyi operated his phone for a moment.

Instantly, two firelights surged into the sky from Dongwu City. Covering twenty kilometers, the missiles reached the battlefield in three seconds.

Almost crashing down together with the Red Dragon.

Buzz~

A loud buzzing sound ensued, and a small mushroom cloud began to billow, leaving both Demacia members astounded.

Is this the way of the Alchemist’s battle?

Drawing missiles barehanded to hit people?
