Seizing the BOSS Template at the Start

Chapter 127: Chapter 96: Metal Storm 2

This explains why there are so many warnings. However, in version 2.0, an ancient fragment descended, which contained this curse.

Many NPCs died on that occasion, and ultimately, players succeeded in curbing the spread of the curse. Thus, in Baiyi’s mind, the Black Death Curse is indeed terrifying but not as daunting as imagined.

First, it targets the soul. The weakening of the soul leads to the decay of flesh and blood in the cursed, and because this curse is rooted deep within the soul, it is insoluble without divine intervention.

But now it can be controlled, as players have undying bodies and no souls.

As long as a large-scale mission is issued, the spread of the Black Death Curse can be controlled, at the mere cost of numerous player lives.

The secondary solution is machinery. Pure machines cannot be contaminated, thus swiftly forming isolation zones even faster than players.

The only downside is that machines controlled by spirit manipulation cannot be used, as the Black Death Curse will invade the soul through the spirit, exhibiting extraordinary transmissibility.

In some future battlefields, virus deployment will undoubtedly be crucial in turning the tide, as ancient gods cannot descend. The Black Death Curse combined with players is a cost the Ancient Divine Realm finds hard to bear.

Of course, provided some of his assumptions are met, otherwise, he wouldn’t genuinely develop the Black Death Curse.

If some of his assumptions succeed, the Black Death Curse will transform from an infectious curse into a single-targeted curse.

By then, his Potion Making will become a real trump card, a powerful means where even a Legendary figure caught by it must await death.

And all of this is due to skill level and skill points. The skill points of the boss template can allow him to manufacture the Black Death Curse countless times on the consciousness level, enabling him to approach the plague doctors’ research on curses.

Even surpassing their research, for the plague doctors have failed, but skill points do not fail. Being able to perfectly produce the original Black Death Curse allows him to analyze this curse and attempt modifications.

If modification is ultimately impossible, it can just be used as a weapon of mass destruction.

After purchasing this series of knowledge, Baiyi contemplated explosions, highly poisonous, machinery, modifications.

Currently, his combat power relies on these components. Now, with the curse added, something still seems missing...

After some thought, Baiyi continued, ”Search, Alchemy Technology, Machinery, Alchemy High-Energy Replication.”

”Okay, please wait a moment.”

[Name: Alchemy Energy Furnace.

Attributes: Technology knowledge.

Effect: Temporarily enhances the power with higher-level attributes using the Alchemy Energy Furnace.

Introduction: I am the Alchemy Technology Grandmaster. Why should I remain at Bronze level knowing everything? The barrier of Alchemy Tier must be broken today — Vickers.

Price: 500,000 Contribution Points.]

”Purchase.”

Baiyi looked at the over fifty books that appeared before him and let out a long sigh of relief.

He glanced at the Contribution Points—simply this knowledge alone already reached over two million Contribution Points, even at half price.

This may be very expensive, possibly an amount other alchemists could never earn in their lifetime, but if it were another era, those alchemists wouldn’t even qualify to view these knowledge names.

Placing the books into the Space Ring, Baiyi pondered and said, ”Search, Life Sacrifice, Bronze, Silver basic knowledge.”

”Okay, please wait.”

As the data flowed by, Baiyi glanced at the prices of this knowledge, the corner of his mouth twitching. As expected of a rare profession, it rivaled the total Silver Level knowledge of an alchemist.

Once Aileen wakes up, those fifty gold coins still have to be deducted. She must also arrange loans and open a healing channel at the Dawn Potion Shop, earnestly treating illnesses, earnestly making house calls. She should quickly earn that money back...

Thinking about this, Baiyi felt a bit better. Spending 180,000 Contribution Points, he acquired this knowledge, placing the two large boxes of books into the Space Ring.

Feeling cheerful, Baiyi walked out.

Returning to the shop, Baiyi did not immediately go into seclusion but started an extraction of ordinary specialty.

[You have started a selectable specialty x1.]

[Please choose one of the three specialties.]

[Invincible Body: Your Endurance increases by 50.]

He directly skipped this one. This kind of fixed increase in specialization is simply wasting an opportunity unless you are a warrior, also encountering it in the late game it’s worthwhile; otherwise, forget it.

Baiyi looked at the next one.

[Rapid Manufacturing: When you repeatedly manufacture the same item, you enter a rapid manufacturing state, during which your success rate increases by 10% and manufacturing speed increases by 10%.]

Baiyi glanced at those tiny machines, then looked at the third strength-enhancing specialty and decisively chose this one.

He aims to build an ace force, which requires a lot of equipment, and those tiny machines are very suitable for this specialty.

However, ordinary specialties are indeed far inferior to boss specialties. No wonder every boss is so hard to defeat. Not sure if other bosses have a boss template...

Without overthinking, now he needs to first develop that AI. With its assistance, recording data, improving combat means, and even combat assistance will greatly help him.

Baiyi took out the relevant knowledge on AI and began reading earnestly. As per the usual practice, once the panel appears, he would directly use skill points to max out skill level.
