Chapter 79: Chapter 76: Remodeling the Bone Dragon

”Damn it, how is this possible? What did you do? Ahhh...”

Upon the ground, the bone dragon’s wings blew the smoke away, its massive body trembling somewhat, enduring the assault of the Abyssal Consciousness, a burden unbearable for a Silver Upper Tier bone dragon.

Despite the fact that giant dragons generally possess the ability to fight across tiers, the opponent in this case was the abyss itself.

”You can sense the contract; I’ve set its duration to fifty years. After fifty years, you’ll gain your freedom, but during that time, you will serve me; otherwise, you can die.”

There was a touch of coldness in Baiyi’s voice, as he looked down at the bone dragon with the demeanor of a superior.

Dragons are proud, but the life of a giant dragon is not eternal.

So when their life approaches its end, they have only two choices: offer the treasures they collected throughout their life to Dragon God Isabella, gaining a chance to enter the Divine Kingdom of the Dragon God, or undergo undead transformation, with a chance to become a bone dragon or a witch demon dragon.

Out of these two choices, hardly any dragon would choose undead transformation, for they feel that the undead are lowly creatures, which would disgrace the glory of Dragon God Isabella, tarnishing the Dragon Race’s reputation.

When gods disappeared, and giant dragons’ lives approached their demise, they would still sacrifice to their god, waiting quietly for the engulfing of death.

Dragons that choose undead transformation are usually those who fear death extremely, and Baiyi didn’t worry about this bone dragon making any astonishing moves.

Indeed, after the giant dragon painfully perceived the fifth layer on the mutated contract, it fell silent.

Its body shook, bones grating against the earth with a harsh sound, finally, the scarlet flames within its skull gradually turned azure as it lowered its head.

”Bodun Oli, at your service...boss!”

With those words, the abyssal aura on its body vanished in an instant, its suffering also calm, Sabo’s contract had a hundred layers, Baiyi only used ten, and showed Bodun the first five layers.

In these five layers, it wasn’t a slave, just akin to an employment relationship, and the employment period was only fifty years, which for undead creatures was but an instant.

Since once a giant dragon underwent undead transformation, it would gain eternal life without a lifespan limitation.

A hint of pleasure appeared in Baiyi’s eyes, the panel indicated it was a permanent summoned creature, which meant that this bone dragon could never escape his control during its lifetime.

And fifty years later, Baiyi believed, it would no longer have the courage to escape control.

The bone dragon was now a subordinate, Baiyi could see its panel.

[Name: Bodun Oli.

Race: Bone Dragon.

Level: 49.

Personal Attributes: Power 390, Agility 387, Endurance 430, Intelligence 340, Spirit 310, Charm 2, Luck 1.

Tier: Silver Upper Tier.

Specialty: Dragon Power: The majesty of a mythical race, can induce terror in creatures weaker than itself.

Eternal Bone Dragon: Giant Dragon Soul, Undead Body, its power can only reach the height it had in life, unable to further advance.

Evaluation: An unremarkable giant dragon, perhaps looked down upon by dragons for its fear of death, but despite reaching its limit, the giant dragon still symbolizes strength.]

The Giant Dragon Race truly lives up to the Long Jun boss status, arguably the most perfect race, with these attributes, even if it claimed to be gold, it could be believed.

However, the constant undead state is also a factor why dragons do not undergo undead transformation. Witch Demon Dragons are acceptable, able to grow like liches, while bone dragons are a tier lower, their power stagnates, unable to further advance.

”Head north from here, there’s a valley about thirty kilometers away, go there and wait for me, you’re too weak, I need to alter you a bit.” Baiyi said expressionlessly, as he walked toward the teleportation gate.

Bodun was startled, the soul fire in its eye sockets suddenly turning scarlet, but the next moment, recalling that excruciating pain from earlier, the soul fire gradually calmed down.

Glancing at the small wooden house, it flapped its wings and flew north in an instant.

When a dragon finds itself under eaves, it must lower its head...

Baiyi, however, didn’t concern himself with Bodun’s thoughts; he needed to purchase some materials to modify the bone dragon, as the undead tomb and bone dragon were too similar, which might prompt unwanted associations among players.

Not that he feared players, even with version 3.0, players’ power remained constant at Silver Lower Tier, once he broke through to gold, given his exceedingly high attributes, ten thousand players or a million wouldn’t make a difference.

Let alone Dongwu City’s protection of him, simply in terms of combat strength, neither the Mechanical Legion of Alchemy Technology nor the Highly Poisonous Domain of Potion Making feared swarm tactics.

If indeed a million players recklessly charged at him, the vast experience value might just propel him instantly to Legendary.

He only feared that players nearby might collectively quit or log off upon seeing him, which would block his path of relying on players.

Thus, it’s best to modify the bone dragon.

With his remaining contribution points at 69 million, and panel gold coins at 2 million, totaling 71 million, he still needed to spend sparingly.

Modifying the bone dragon will be quite a costly affair, yet he desired an alchemical fortress that could fly...

After all, an alchemist’s money never seems to last long, no matter how much it is, it could all be spent.
