Seizing the BOSS Template at the Start

Chapter 67: Chapter 65: Position Tasks

”World Marvel?”

Sabo appeared contemplative. A world marvel refers to something even the gods cannot comprehend, and since it doesn’t significantly impact the world, it’s deemed a curious observation.

Baiyi asked Sabo to come over because his inheritance is rather strange; this world is a real world.

Players, on the other hand, arrive in this world as a marvel from another one in an unknown manner.

If anything could influence another world, it would be the power of gods.

Sabo’s inheritance happens to be the inheritance of an Evil God.

If it can truly affect the players, then the fourth calamity will no longer be a calamity. Even if it can’t, testing the effects of the boss template on the player template is still needed.

If players can level up by killing NPCs, then if the boss can level up by killing players, this wave would truly be stable.

”Yes, a world marvel, different from others; this marvel resembles intelligent creatures, most likely all elves and humans,” Baiyi thought and said.

Players, besides those who enjoy crafting strange faces, generally prefer to have a handsome or beautiful appearance.

And indeed, beauty-wise, Dark Night Elves, various tribes of elves, and humans are the most suitable.

It was also like this in the past life; perhaps being human for a long time, elven players accounted for 60%.

”You mean they will appear out of thin air here, and can’t be killed?” Sabo was astonished. He looked at the empty housing area ahead, then at Baiyi, his brain racing.

”Yes.”

Baiyi just answered when Sabo couldn’t wait to ask, ”Do they have the potential to become permanent miners?”

Baiyi:... ”Unlikely, because their bodies will disappear and appear again next time in this housing area.”

Sabo was even more shocked; he didn’t doubt Baiyi’s words, as there was no need for deception.

He pondered for a moment, shaking his head, ”Marvels only disappear naturally or with the power of gods; otherwise, they can’t be destroyed.”

Sabo’s voice gradually became sharper, ”However, if it’s the humanoid marvel you described, then there might be a way....”

”What way?” Baiyi was curious. The players’ fourth calamity is no joke; their spawn points and cities are bound, moving isn’t possible; only after the city is broken by monsters can spawn points be relocated.

”Sign a supreme contract with them, connecting them directly to the Abyssal Consciousness, whose tier can destroy marvels or even pull them into the abyss,” Sabo spoke with a smirk, ”Moreover, such a contract once signed, the marvel will be enslaved before breaching it.”

Baiyi pondered for a while, shaking his head, ”No, they are not allowed to sign any contracts with anyone. The world’s contracts are invalid for them.”

The smile on Sabo’s face faded, eyes full of thought, ”If that’s not possible, let me think... My friend, are you sure they are descending here?”

Baiyi nodded, ”Yes, this is exclusive information. The Dawn Federation has five marvel descending points.”

Sabo became serious, ”Then you should apply for ownership of this land first; I need to think carefully.”

Baiyi nodded, thought for a moment, took out a Dawn Badge containing twelve million contribution points, which he got from an auction earning ninety million, and Sabo earned thirty million.

Mutually giving 20%, that’s the money Baiyi needed to give after hedging.

Throwing the badge to Sabo, with joy in his eyes, Baiyi turned and headed towards the City Lord’s Mansion.

With six days left, he indeed needed a position, being on the same potential rating as Mosen, suggesting he might obtain a good position.

Mosen, this Demon Swordsman, at only twenty-six years old, already reached Silver Peak, also proving that SS-level potential would inevitably enter the Golden Upper Tier.

That’s the value of a genius.

As long as they don’t perish young.

And at this moment, Sabo’s eyes were full of excitement; a marvel to play with indeed...

He pulled out some extraordinarily twisted items from an absolutely filthy aura and began spreading some green smoke around the area.

He intended to seal the marvels here first; without Golden Upper Tier power, it’s tough to resist such a seal, then slowly figure out how to utilize this group of marvels.

Sabo’s pondering became more intense. If they were all elves and not strong enough, wouldn’t converting this area into a brothel be promising? As long as the marvels cannot get out...

When Baiyi returned from the City Lord’s Mansion, he already had two official documents in hand.

One was a land grant document, signifying that the players’ spawn point became his private domain, ready to be enclosed, creating a relatively sealed space.

The other was a position recognition document, Baiyi took a position as a Hero of Glory.

This position is no different than a guest of a large family, enjoying a rank lower than a Legion Commander, yet need not handle anything, prepared for strong individuals unwilling to handle mundane affairs, a position without power.

But Baiyi’s focus was no longer on these two small documents, slightly surprised, initially intending to discuss with Sabo, instead headed to the Dawn Potion Shop.

Because an additional section was glowing on the personal introduction on his panel.

Task!

Turns out bosses have tasks too!

And it’s such a hidden task!

Baiyi quickened his pace, didn’t greet Aileen and the others upon arriving at the potion shop, directly entered the laboratory, closed the door, and started to study this task.

Actually, players are not unfamiliar with positions, due to the high realism, some players secured official positions, but without benefits, instead, that certificate was more significant.

Unexpectedly, becoming an NPC resulted in tasks in this aspect!

His attention gradually focused, with a swoosh, two tasks appeared before him.

[Please choose one of the two tasks or abandon them.]

[Task One: The Boss’s Ambition.

Task Traits: Position Task.

Task Description: Secure at least one promotion and greater authority within the stipulated time.

Task Duration: 365 natural days.

Additional Reward: Extra rewards based on the height of position and authority.

Failure Penalty: No reward.

Introduction: How can one call themselves a boss alone? After all, even gods aren’t lonely.]

Baiyi slightly raised an eyebrow, the task’s freedom is relatively high, at least no penalties.

Just... Baiyi looked at the Hero of Glory position, falling into thought... A higher position than this, seems like... probably, perhaps only the City Lord?

Because this position only needs to heed the City Lord’s command, it is a special position....
