Chapter 56: Chapter 54: Auction House

Two days passed quickly, and with Sunu’s assistance, Baiyi updated the defense system of the Dawn Potion Shop.

However, with Sunu’s help, he didn’t upgrade in terms of equipment manufacturing, but the enhanced sense of security gained was not a loss.

Sunu’s endorsement requires waiting for the auction because he mentioned splitting Sabo’s profits by twenty percent, and he doesn’t want the Koman family to gain huge profits directly due to Sunu’s involvement.

Profit sharing, Gold Coin, resources, Baiyi has a clear expectation in his mind, under this expectation, there is no room for negotiation, no one can do anything about it.

As Sunu returned to negotiate with the Koman Family.

Dongwu City became increasingly lively, with a slew of young yet extremely powerful figures strolling along Saint Martial Avenue.

Their gazes intentionally or unintentionally glanced toward the potion shop, but Mosen Corps Commander was well aware of their intentions.

Garrett and Magat, the two brothers, took turns not far from the Dawn Potion Shop, along with some soldiers and a closed sign at the door, ensuring Baiyi was undisturbed these few days.

While admiring the bustling scene, Baiyi felt a strong gaze, turning, he instantly locked eyes with a seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl in a blue princess dress, with slightly curled long hair.

Alongside the girl, Kami and Ernado and other equally young, extravagantly dressed young men and women, paused their steps as they followed the girl, all eyes turned to the potion shop.

Baiyi: ....

He thought of a few things.

Besides the Legendary, the Dawn Federation has a total of twenty-nine legislators, with twenty legislator families extending their influence throughout the Federation.

The Di Feng Clan ranks among the top three in power within these twenty families and first in wealth because they occupy more than half of the Federation’s Soul System resources.

After crossing over, Baiyi in this world unexpectedly had a complete life trajectory, through some fragmented memories, Baiyi roughly understood his identity and some past reckless actions.

Such as deceiving the youngest daughter of this influential family; back then, Little Dian’s pocket money was basically all swindled by him.

Most importantly, that silly little girl, every time she got caught in a deception, would angrily storm over to create trouble, only to be swindled again, and it went on for several years.

So after acquiring this information, he decisively chose to leave the Capital City and come to Dongwu City, as one day when the young lady retaliates, he’d have no chance for growth.

Unexpectedly, this time the Di Feng Clan sent the young lady, Baiyi felt somewhat guilty.

Upon meeting her gaze, Diane’s eyes instantly flared with anger as she led a group of second generation towards him.

Baiyi decisively locked the door, slapped the closed sign on the glass door, and turned to leave, thinking he shouldn’t have come out to send off Sunu, staying in and focusing on research would have been better.

”Bai...yi! You stop right there! Or I’ll smash your damned shop!”

The angry voice echoed, prompting Baiyi to walk faster, opening the laboratory door under Aileen’s teasing gaze, he headed inside.

Behind him, some faint sounds of dispute could be heard, seemingly a quarrel between the local Law Enforcement Team and the young lady.

Baiyi rubbed his brows in frustration, needing to figure out how to fill this hole, but now wasn’t the time, there were still unfinished tasks for the auction, requiring him to work overtime.

Looking at his brand new laboratory, he silently thanked Sunu, then submerged himself into research.

Time passed quickly, in the blink of an eye, it was already January 15th.

Baiyi rubbed his tired brow again, looking at the panel which displayed several experience value notifications.

[Your Level has reached Level 38.]

[You have manufactured....]

He gained another level in these few days, it’s only because having a panel is convenient, no bottleneck, genuinely a huge cheat.

”My friend, are you ready?”

Sabo’s voice sounded, he looked excitedly at the venue outside, where currently a person wearing a mask was seated in the corner, despite it not being the start time yet.

The venue was large, ancient-style architecture, seemingly a converted casino, with a total of six floors, starting from the second floor, each side had a row of specially designed luxurious seats.

Wooden doors behind the seats were plastered with some family names, signifying it’s prepared for the legislator families, arranged in ascending order according to recognized power.

The hall on the first floor was a stage, behind the stage sat a screen over two meters in diameter.

Ahead of the stage were numerous seats, roughly about two hundred.

The venue was currently in a blackout state, somewhat dark, yet some people were already present waiting.

”How many people did you invite this time?” Baiyi downed a bottle of Spiritual Recovery Potion, having spent days researching and manufacturing various things, his spiritual power could only stay strong for a month before fainting for three days, the rest of the time not sleeping, already feeling somewhat weary.

Sabo’s excitement heightened at this topic: ”Sixteen out of twenty legislator families have responded affirmatively, among the top three hundred wealthy merchants across six hundred cities in the Federation, I invited one hundred who confirmed back, though not all might show up.”

”But my friend, you needn’t worry about that, I’ve launched an online auction, once sufficient guarantee money is paid, not only on-site, nearly all wealthy merchants can witness the situation via video communications and can also bid.”

”These individuals, I’ll cast onto smaller screens to the left, having installed amplifiers for them.”

”And...” Sabo looked around before whispering: ”I’ve arranged some price hikers, during entry, certain individuals fearing offending legislator families, voluntarily chose to hide their identities, and I distributed identical masks to everyone, today’s venue will be packed.”

Baiyi frowned slightly: ”You keep a close watch on those people, don’t let any items linger.”

”Rest assured, I know their maximum price limits, besides...” Sabo smiled craftily, whispering: ”Online users and those wearing masks won’t show deference to legislator families.”

Patting his pocket as he spoke: ”I’ve prepared some items for bidding too, once your side concludes, you can switch to mine, rest assured, no wealthy merchant will leave the venue intact today.”

Baiyi’s mouth twitched slightly, before Sabo, preemptively wearing an understanding expression said: ”Don’t worry, with a twenty percent cut from your items, naturally, my items will split twenty percent with you, since this idea was yours.”

Exceptionally excited, Sabo laughed sinisterly: ”Leave it to me, my friend, absolutely no mishaps will occur, we’ll definitely earn immensely this time.”

”Hopefully.”

”Boss, here’s the milk you requested, Sabo sir, yours as well.”

Aileen approached from backstage holding two cups of milk.

Luoning didn’t come over, she’s been practicing Spiritual Power recently, exceptionally talented, already showing some progress.

Bam!

At that moment, the door was kicked open, accompanied by an irritable voice.

”Baiyi, come out, we need to talk!”

Sabo glanced strangely at Baiyi, his people went to the Capital City, clearly, Baiyi’s reputation there had polarized, and this was the source.
