Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 1332: Chapter 371: Battle? Test_2

Because in this area, you can see various large machinery running everywhere, and your ears are always filled with the roar of machinery operation.

If you don’t have noise-canceling headphones, your ears could retire decades earlier than a person.

At this moment, it is also lit with emergency lights like the outside harbor, and everyone is hurriedly running back and forth, clearly affected by the power outage.

Chen Ming and his group didn’t linger at the entrance and quickly followed the shipyard director to the higher ground of this area.

A command room directly observes the entire experimental site.

The command room is equally busy, with a middle-aged researcher in a white coat constantly issuing various instructions.

It’s necessary to temporarily stop the testing process and wait for the Space Station’s circuit system to be restored to its original state before conducting tests.

The shipyard director waited a bit for the emergency situation to ease, and then the middle-aged researcher no longer needed to hold multiple walkie-talkies to issue orders.

He went up and asked, “How is the situation?”

The middle-aged researcher in front of the command console immediately turned his head and saw his boss, Chen Ming, and the Spiritual Energy director from next door.

He quickly said, “Director Wang, Director Chen, Director Gan, the Space Station just overloaded because it’s carrying two new Titan Weapons.”

“Only some unimportant lines need replacement, and after unloading one, the lines can be restored quickly, and the problem will be solved soon.”

The shipyard director nodded slightly and said, “That’s just right, we need to take away the unloaded one.”

“Is it that one?”

He said, pointing to the two weapons installed outside the command room window, one of which is being dismantled, with a length of over a thousand meters, comparable to an ordinary Cruiser.

“Yes, those two are the newly delivered Titan-class weapons, the Purgatory Ray.”

Chen Ming, from arriving at the experimental area and now entering the command room, has kept his attention on those two massive weapons.

Upon hearing the researcher mention their names, he immediately asked, “Does it have a relationship with the Purgatory Core?”

“Yes.”

The Spiritual Energy director accompanying Chen Ming helped explain, “These two Purgatory Rays use beams as the entropy aggregation carrier. When fired, they can converge all dissipated Energy, concentrating all damage to cause very powerful Energy damage and high-temperature damage.”

No wonder the energy consumption is so huge. They need to fire a powerful Energy beam and also trigger the effect of the Purgatory Core; large consumption is inevitable.

Chen Ming couldn’t help but say, “What ship can withstand such massive Energy consumption?”

The shipyard director also began to explain, “Titan-class ships are equipped with sufficiently large Antimatter Reactors and Antimatter Fuel Engines, and coupled with Energy Crystal Technology, they can minimize Energy loss circulating within the ship.”

“On paper, theoretically feasible.”

“The weapons are already here, so if we build ships next, they must be according to the scale that can use these weapons.”

“Whether they can be used or not, it’s not a concern. The key is whether there’s a need.”

“The number of Purgatory Cores is limited.”

“So what Fan Chao sent last time was the weakened version of this Purgatory Ray, called the Prison Fire Beam.”

“If the Purgatory Ray is enough, this Prison Fire Beam will mostly be installed on the Space Station.”

“If not enough, then the Prison Fire Beam will have to be placed on the Titan Ship.”

“I remember we also have two Prison Fire Beams here, and I’ll ask for one later.”

Chen Ming listened quietly to the shipyard director’s introduction, seeing that he had almost finished speaking, and asked, “Is there a difference?”

“The difference is that the Ion Cannon doesn’t have a Purgatory Core inside; it mimics the Purgatory Core to create a similar effect as the Purgatory Ray.”

Chen Ming was immediately surprised, “Imitation? Already able to imitate?”

“Yes, progress in technology is often unexpected.”

“The normal number of Purgatory Cores can’t look after all the Space Stations at the Empire’s border; imitation is the best solution.”

“Your technical article on the Purgatory Core has been published for nearly a year. There must be some movement in the past year, right?”

Indeed.

Chen Ming didn’t dwell much on this matter; on the contrary, he was very pleased to see this happening.

Progress in technology is definitely not a bad thing, at least not purely bad.

It was at this moment.

Someone suddenly pushed open the command room door and said, “The circuit inspection report is ready, the damaged lines have been replaced, and the circuit system can be restarted at any time.”

Upon hearing the familiar voice of the speaker, Chen Ming immediately turned to look.

Sure enough, it was He Gu, whom he hadn’t seen for a while.

Chen Ming immediately stepped forward to greet and ask, “Are you now working on this project?”

“No, I’m still working on the previous project, just here for an exchange.”

“Research progress not going well?”

“Yes.”

He Gu openly admitted this point, “The main problem is that this Spiritual Device civilian project only has me and a few others working on it, with no precedent for reference.”

“I happened to hear that Fan Chao Research Institute is preparing for the military conversion and mass production of Spiritual Devices, and sent several weapons over, so I applied for an academic exchange.”

“It feels possible to start from this aspect. After all, many civilian devices originate from military devices.”
