Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 1327: Chapter 370: Borrowing

Chen Ming’s thoughts are very clear.

But the problem is also obvious, how to deal with this monster?

Currently, what can be confirmed is that this monster stuck in the black hole is a psychic species with a tangible physical entity.

But it might not be a biological organism, nor does it necessarily have normal biological organs, which leads Chen Ming to be unsure about its fatal vulnerability.

And this size of monster is not something that can be easily breached by any random means.

Even if the weakness is known, it might not be possible to exploit that weakness to kill it.

Chen Ming recently tested ordinary weapons, and it’s safe to say any ship below the level of the main ship shouldn’t even look at it, as there’s no point beyond chasing after white death, not even for attracting fire and serving as cannon fodder.

Originally, destroyer escorts could be used as cannon fodder, especially since Chen Ming didn’t find the monster to have any long-range attack besides firing gravity psychic beams from its mouth.

Arranging smaller ships in the fleet can help larger ships attract some of the fire.

But environmental limitations make this idea less applicable.

The immense gravitational environment and the gravity spiritual energy mastered by that monster mean any ship without sufficient strength would be wiped out instantly.

Small ships have no meaningful role to play.

Even Chen Ming’s most familiar and powerful Stardust cannot be considered effective combat power because of this.

He can only use other ships to participate in the subsequent battle.

And the strongest combat unit in Chen Ming’s hands right now, the Insect Race, would also be restricted by environmental conditions.

Because the Insect Race’s fleet has a large number of carrier-based craft, namely Insect Race flying units, their condition in the black hole’s event horizon obviously wouldn’t be good either.

Even though the Insect Race itself has higher physical toughness and psychic protection from the Insect Queen, once it gets close to the black hole, its performance would be at most only marginally better than the Meteor Fighter, which is designed for self-destruction.

However, Chen Ming still has an untried method, which is to use phase space to fight against the monster in the black hole.

The power of phase space also carries substantial weight.

He can tentatively launch an attack to see if the monster can effectively counter the power of the phase.

But this can wait a bit; launching an attack just for one target seems unprofitable.

Chen Ming wants to clarify more than just whether phase attack methods are effective.

He also wants to determine what kind of weapon can inflict absolutely effective damage on it.

Currently, it seems that the Speed Particle Spear, a method of unleashing high-energy particles for attack, is not very apparent.

However, other classified energy weapons, like the Energy Confinement Bomb and high-energy laser, have yet to be tested.

Additionally, solid bullet weapons, chemical weapons, and explosion-type weapons have not been tried.

Each must be rotated through one by one,

Fortunately, this monster’s attack methods are very singular, and its body is confined to the black hole without mobility, making it a perfect target.

He’s not in a rush and can modify the Insect Race’s main ship before the next experiment kicks off.

Reducing the number of small Insect Race units on board.

And equipping different types of weapons on various Insect Race main ships.

Also, since the Insect Race’s main ship was modified from the Mechanical Race’s mother ship, its default main level weapon operates in the mode of the Spine Peak Cannon.

Using incremental energy to deliver ultimate force that launches bricks flying.

Which isn’t too fitting for the Insect Race’s warships but conveniently aids Chen Ming’s modification efforts now.

Though using these ships to engage with the monster might cause some losses, compared to the results that can be obtained in this process.

And the ship that’s pierced through the monster’s body for thousands of years, enduring thousands of years of black hole gravitational tear while still remaining structurally intact.

He can completely accept this loss.

Wait a minute.

Speaking of this ship, Chen Ming suddenly realized something.

The ship penetrated into the monster’s body, seemingly just relying on the sturdiness of its hull.

Although the durability of this Shimmering Civilization ship is indeed a bit high, it also indicates that the monster might not have great resistance to sharp, pointed solid bullet weapons.

Chen Ming knows quite a few weapons of this type, such as the commonly seen Storm Needle, or the Mechanical Race’s solid bullet type Spine Peak Cannon Head.

Even some carrier-based spike projectiles launched by the Insect Race warships, made from Insect Race keratin, can be considered this type of weapon.

Judging from the already inactive arthropod limb near that ship, there’s a high probability it was damaged by the Shimmering Civilization ship before it penetrated.

So this monster definitely has weaknesses and can certainly be killed.

Perhaps he can start directly with this ship and the already dead limb.

Use this ship to verify how the Shimmering Civilization caused the limb to lose vitality.

Then he could focus more on this direction when arranging the weapons on the Insect Race main ship.

If the test ends up directly killing the monster, it would be even better.

Moreover, Chen Ming feels he can slightly alter his plan, not prioritizing solving the monster before capturing the ship.

Instead, think of a way to prioritize extracting the ship first, then consider addressing the monster itself.
